Couldn't find what I was looking for, so was disappointed, but staff was helpful.

Nice staff and good products. Store and selection is smaller. Navigating is less intuitive than other locations I have been to.

Will say this , I spend a lot of money there ; it means I love the store.

Excellent place if your looking to get really good-looking.

Clean, good selection, and decent pieces but we waited in line over 15 minutes--and there was only 1 person in front of us--while 2 cashiers tried to deal with whatever her problem was. 5 other people got in line behind us and no other employee arrived to ring up any of us. Very poor customer service.

Ulta pretty much has market dominance in Elk Grove apart from a few Sally's Beauty Supply stores and grocery and drug stores. Their biggest competitor, Sephora, is 16 miles away. Because of this lack of competition, I feel like the store and its employees have become complacent and therefore negligent. Not all employees of course, I have seen a couple who stand out as being bright, attentive and customer service oriented. What really causes me to give them only 3 stars is the lack of care when it comes to the store and its products. As a customer, when I see makeup products disheveled and on the floor of the aisles I am disinclined to purchase anything. When I see dust or broken seals on hair care products I question the integrity of the what I wish to purchase. I will be happy to update my review when I see the quality the store once had.

I was looking at the lip colors in the NYX section of this store today around 7pm, and this blond girl who worked there was helping this woman and her daughter and I got pushed away from the lip colors further into the isle, without an "excuse me" or an apology. And it was really rude, I wasn't done looking and I would have moved if I had even been acknowledged. I'm really disappointed because this is the closest ulta to me, but I'd much rather go to the Arden one if it means they'll be nicer to me. I don't think it was intentional but an apology would have helped and I also don't think all the workers here are rude but I've had more bad than good experiences. So I'll be driving out to the Arden ulta where I'll at least be greeted and acknowledged as a costumer.

There was a good number of us in line right before they were about to close and supposedly their card system went down. Hahaha yeah really? Manager or I least a think, chubby blonde woman, had the nerve to tell me I should have been there 5 minutes earlier. Really? I was in line before 9:00. Your job is to lock the door when you close and help everyone left in the store and not make up some BS story about the computer being down!

I attended the beauty bar for a new make up line, although Alta support all skin tones, the line didn't acknowledge anyone accept fair skin tone. Anyone with a brown complexion wasn't consider the instructor had to keep stopping to get products for dark skin tone and totally forgot to change the white press powder to one that is a match for dark skin. Disappointing for the year 2020! I didn't get my cosmetic needs meet.

Oh gosh all the beauty products imaginable in one store...loved it

Go there for my favorite eyeliner and perfume gotta love it.

Austin was amazing and friendly. Both my daughter and I felt very cared for and purchased new makeup!

I typically come during the day when the staff is nicer. The Clinique girls are wonderful!! However...
The few times I ve been later in the evening I ve been ignored to the point of no one even greeting me. Generally this wouldn t be a problem but that s the great service Ulta is known for.
Also this Ulta in particular never seems to have enough product on hand during days of beauty events or hair events... let alone to fill their shelves. Not sure if it s the rate of sales or poor inventory management but this location could improve.

I was looking for a makeup artist for my cousins wedding because I was going to be a bridesmaid. Last minute I decided to get my makeup done so I booked at 12am the day of my cousin wedding. I had the appointment at 10am when I showed up Andrea was ready for me. She did an Amazing job I loved it I loved how she did my eyebrows and eyeshadow everything!!! My face usually gets very itchy when I wear makeup I had mentioned that to her as well but I was so comfortable throughout the whole day I forgot I was wearing makeup. I do have very sensitive skin that I rarely wear make up but I loved the products she use. Will definitely recommend her.

I went to Ulta for some Christmas shopping, and it was a nightmare employee s not very helpful once I left the store I realized I was over charged so I called and returned to the store and spoke with the guy that over charged the first time long story short as he intended to put my money back onto my debit card he charged it again, so now I m freaking out because it s Christmas and I have a large family to buy gifts for now corporate tells me I have to wait up until 15 days for my money to be put back on my card I will never shop at this location again and you can be sure I ll tell everyone I know that shops there about my experience!

We went over there with a couple of friends as my wife wanted to get some cosmetics. The store is set up in a convenient layout and is very clean. She wanted some help choosing the products and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and were able to guide her in choosing the products that will work for her. They have quite a lot of people working there and overhearing the conversations with other customers it sounded lile they were very knowledgeable with the products that thet were representing. I saw a lot pf people come in and buy quite a lot of products.

I LOVE PREET!! She is the only person I let touch my eye brows. She has helped me figure out the one thing on my face I hate so much. Now I have great brows.

Service has been good they can get long lines often and should get extra help.

Rude staff but I love makeup. And location is nice

A bit daunting when trying to find something as a guy not knowing what most things are. Wife loves it here and finds good deals all the time. The salon did an excellent job with my wife's hair.
