UK and Europe; Glasgow Marriott Hotel Review

Looks very old (at least my bedroom, in the 3rd floor). Artex (stippled) ceiling. You need to walk like 1 km across corridors to get to the gym, already tired when got there

Restaurant service was a bit slow and rooms were a bit cold but overall a nice hotel

Love the Marriott staff are so friendly and helpful. I suffer from arthritis plus auto immune illness's I feel the cold so ask for an extra duvet within minutes I get one and they actually put the cover on the duvet while in the room. Nothing is to much trouble.

Great entertainment but the price of drink is ridiculous

Staff are excellent and the place feels very welcoming, rooms comfortable if a bit dated, gym has a great selection of equipment including free weights. WiFi has always been reliable for me. Food in the exec lounge and bar isn't great.

Afternoon Tea, with Procecco, very nice, excellent service, value for money.

Comfortable room, although could probably do with refurbishment soon. The ceiling in the shower is low - if you are taller than 6' 3" you might hit your head. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was quite good. The pool was good and our baby really swimming enjoyed it!

Great city centre hotel, rooms are top quality great views of the city in the upper floors. Great breakfast good selection nice open restaurant. What I would say limited parking and the bar is a bit pricey apart from that comfortable stay

The staff make the place! The food was excellent quality but not overpriced in a casual atmosphere. The customer service and warmth of personality of each staff made our stay over our anniversary that little bit more special. We will definitely return because of their extra efforts whether it was the smiles at reception to the amazing omelettes to the suggestions of a good drink, event, best way to walk etc. They were always on hand. A great team & management!

I had booked this stay via my Marriott Bonvoy points. Check in was easy and lots of good COVID controls in place which were easy to understand. The executive suite was nice and lived up to the high expectations that Marriott set for their hotels.

Car parking was $10 for the overnight stay which I thought was reasonable and the only other charge was breakfast. I thought the price was a little high as the buffet wasn't available (expected due to COVID).

Location is great and a walk from the City Centre and the main shopping streets.

Clean hotel with parking. Friendly staff. Will be back.

The grand Old Dame of Glasgow. Staff are what make it the experience. Rooms dated but beds super comfy and usual Marriott standard of very clean. Room service could be improved with offer of additional condiments but that's just knit picking

Staff are very helpful and the hotel is conveniently located to central station!

Nice pool and leisure club, our room had broken aircon and was roasting. I suspect this was known as there was a large desk fan in the room - unusual for a room with air conditioning. Room and common areas looking a bit worn.

Location could be better (right next to a freeway and in a pedestrian hostile area; or maybe that's just Glasgow), breakfast buffet was good, room was clean but smallish (probably reasonable for European standards but smaller than the other Glasgow hotel I've stayed at). Price was not unreasonable.

Easy access to public transport. Anderston station is nearby.

The service in the cafe/barvis very slow and staff do not have organisation.

I was attending a work conference. The hotel was nice, had a good decor, we were pleasantly received, the food and drink provided was of good quality and in their restaurant which was very pleasant and had attentive staff. I would stay at this hotel in the future.

Very professional staff, delicious meal provided + grand design inside. Didn't stay on this particular occasion, but seen inside the top floor rooms and impressed by facilities and views of the city. Felt very homely also.

An excellent hotel with all the amenities you would want and expect in a major city hotel. The restaurant was outstanding and the lobby and bar area is very nice to be around in the evening. The location is perfect for access to the city center area and also very close to the major highways. Definitely will stay again.

The hotel is above average. The rooms are good but not great. The hotel is situated right next to the M8 motorway and as such you get a lot of noise from it and the windows have no soundproofing at all. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is pretty good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The gym is pretty well set out and has a good range of equipment. The opening times are good but it is not 24 hours.

Hair dryer broken in room. Almost burned the place down. Room layout isn't the best. Upset they charge for WiFi too. Overall just ok. Food was good.

Stay was alright, daily WiFi charge is very expensive for the service you get. Food served onsite is very good. Some of the bathroom facilities were not maintained adequately. Staff is mostly polite, with the odd exception.

There wasnt room enough to park my car, I needed to wait 1 hour per one parking bay. The staff did a lot of mistakes. The mattres was bent and me and my wife rolled to the middle of the bed when sleeping. The breakfast is paid separately, but it worth

My wife and I stay here when we visit Glasgow. Rooms are great and check in always easy and prompt. Staff very welcoming and cheery. Did not dine on this occassion but breakfast was very good really set us up for the day.

The leisure facilities were good, some items in the gym could have done with a little bit of tlc. The pool was nice and clean and the steam room and sauna were perfect.

Decent food at restaurant. Good conference facilities.
