Good faculty for the most part. The most unbiased are in the Political Science department if you can believe that. Professors outside of that department tend to show their biases more often. If you come here as a conservative, you WILL have your views challenged, which is important for personal growth. If you come here as a liberal, you will probably never have your views challenged, and you will end up being triggered into a psychotic episode when you get back to the real world. Advice for liberal-minded students looking to attend classes here: Search out conservative students and befriend them.
Anyway, the education system in CA is a racket. Get everything you can out of them, and pinch your pennies.
Oh, and the morons sent my degree through the USPS. It was bent when it got to me. I almost puked when I saw Jerry Brown's signature on the degree as well.
Good riddance, CA. My home state is a liberal cesspool bent on penalizing the productive and paying the lazy a basic income so they keep voting because the poor outnumber the middle and upper class. Nothing says "vote for me" like free stuff. Does it FEEL good? Probably. Does it DO good? probably not.

The Graduate admission committee at UC San Diego is really awesome!
My institute in India (VIT, Pune), hasn t been responsive at all. I wanted to get a Provisional Degree Certificate or at least an email saying that the Passing Certificate is an equivalent of the provisional degree certificate. I haven t received any reply from the registrar of VIT. It s been over a month.
Whereas, the admission committee at UC San Diego has helped me a lot. They lifted the hold on my registration for the 2017-18 year. They have covered up for the mess Savitribai Phule Pune University and VIT, Pune has made.
Big thanks to Dana Jimenez and Erin Calhoun. You guys are saviors :)
I remember when the Sun God 'went up' in 1983; I referred to it as 'Woodstock on acid'.. it was the first sculpture in UCSD's Stewart Collection.. Niki de Sainte Phalle, its creator, moved permanently from France to San Diego 10 yrs later.. it was her first US sculpture.. what else should one add; it has become a symbol of UCSD (even more so than the Geisel Library)...
Have had a few procedures at a couple different UCSD locations. The construction doesn't make it easy to get around, but the end result will be worth it
Parking was so expensive! You should be able to go to your doctors appointment without having to pay to park . Especially when my appointment was canceled.
Great campus and location, but the buildings can seem impersonal at times. The campus can sometimes seem more like a corporate campus than a college campus, especially over summer or on weekends
This is one of the best universities worldwide, actually rank in 10th place, well organized and very competitive professors on campus, UCSD is a research University, best one in San Diego.
Class of 2014! Thanks UC San Diego! Greatest years of my life were spent on this campus, and I will never forget the very useful knowledge and experience that I gained here. Beautiful campus, and excellent academics!
The University of California in San Diego was founded in 1960, today the university is one of the best research universities. The campus is located on the Pacific coast at the border with Mexico. A characteristic feature of the University of San Diego is an unconventional approach to the study of science and art. University scientists who received awards are honored figures in their fields, with an impressive list of achievements in science, medicine and technology. The leader in climate research, the University of San Diego considers one of the greenest universities in the US and around the world.
Rather large campus, sectioned off in to six colleges that each have their own unique feel. There are also random art installations all over the school if you care to look for them.
Hi my name is Jamie I rate this campus alot.because its always by the beach good connection great atomopshere good air quiety. I recommend staying with @ this campus;-) http:wwwedu:uccollege
A wonderful environment to spend a day, even if you are not a student at UCSD. There is incredible architecture all around (hop on a campus tour if one is leaving soon). There are plenty of places to lounge around - indoor or outdoor. Make sure you visit Geisel library, great building and you want a pic with Dr. Seuss. Relive your youth here. :)
We came to visit. Ali, she was our tour guide. Fantastic, she gave us a good tour and answered all our questions. I am sure she is a success and will have great future. University is amazing 7.5 times bigger than Disney land and library has 5 billion, plus books. We loved it. Came back for parents day. Informative.
One of the best school in the country for biomedical and physical sciences. The schools boats of many Nobel laureates, finest colleges and state-of-the-art facilities for research and development.
This is one of the best schools ever if you live in La Jolla. I highly recommend this place if you intend to study science or become some sort of doctor. The amount of research being done here is astounding. There are literally oodles and oodles of information to be found here.
Also, this place is a fun place to hang around and explore. Hide and seek games usually go to the next level in this large arena.
The location is the best. You are literally on top of a hill. You can take a glider off the top and fly! Or you can choose to hike down to the nude beach nearby. Surf is up at Black's beach.
Hungry? There is food here. No need to worry. The food court and eating options are off the chain. They even got Boba.
In conclusion, UCSD has something for everyone. You can major or minor in any subject you wish.
There is nothing here I don't like. This is the school where whatever you choose to do, there are tons of people who support you and help you achieve you goals. There are a few things I never regret doing them in my life, and yea, one is choosing UCSD for my undergrad.
Beautiful campus, a lot of it under construction. They need better signage to find your way around, I had never been there, and I got turned around a few times.
Anna Davidson is a wonderful nice looking pretty women on the inside an out and as wonderful.as your campus is Anna Davidson is an asset to your school
Good school! The friend's daughter is studying at this school and it feels very good! PS: Every mahjong enthusiast please please me: irvinedasixi, thank you!
Quick and efficient drive through testing and flu vaccines. I have been here about 5 times. The staff is well synchronized and prepared, and the process is no fuss at all.
I was at UCSD for Triton Day because I was accepted as a student. I LOVED almost everything about the campus. The tours and info sessions at Revelle were excellent, I loved the programs I heard about, the student orgs, etc, etc. In fact, if I was accept under my desired major (rather than "Undeclared"), I probably would have signed a SIR during Triton Day. About midway through the day, I expected to go home considering that UCSD would probably be my school. However, when I applied to UCSD for CS I was accepted as Undeclared. Thus, I decided (appropriately) to attend the "Undeclared Majors: Engineering" talk. In this talk, I expected to hear facts and pathways to entering the various engineering programs UCSD has. Instead, I heard that (if I am to attend UCSD) I should pursue something other than CS. When asked about CS (or almost any other engineering program), the two presenters were frustratingly taking every avenue to dodge giving away any useful information and statistics (aside from directing the audience to the CS program s website for application pre-reqs). They refused to give any CS statistics whatsoever and would not discuss the reasonability of transferring into the CS major. Instead, they'd just advertise other non-engineering majors. Even when directly asked about admissions into various engineering programs, they would find a way out of telling any admissions info. They repeatedly explicitly stated that they didn't have any numbers. After the presentation, I personally approached one of them and asked about how many spots they allocate towards freshmen in the CS program, and the presenter pulled out a packet and showed me some numbers. This showed me that they did have the statistics, but they were (for some reason) withholding them. The fact that they lied about having any statistics (sadly) has gradually made me afraid to attend UCSD. After the presentation my mother cried not only because we could see how hopeless it seemed to be to enter the CS major/programs as "Undeclared", but also because UCSD seemed so right for me. Almost every aspect of UCSD felt right until that point. The purpose of college is academia, so this makes it harder for me to sign up for UCSD May 1st/2nd. I have no problem with going to a school as Undeclared if I have a clear, honest, reasonable pathway to enter my major. If they were willing to disclose statistics (no matter how unreliable, inconsistent, or ridiculous they may be), I would feel far more confident in UCSD right now. Instead, I was scared away from UCSD. I will proudly attend UW next fall, where they publicly display their department statistics because they know they're not full of BS. Felt like a bait and switch.
(Aside from this one presentation, Triton Day was excellent. However, Triton Day ultimately ruled UCSD out of my college choices.)
We came to this campus for seminar. A very big campus with some schools program an international programs. I love this campus so much, we learn so much things here.
The staff here is very professional and courteous. Their communication is unparalleled. They've kept me informed every step of the way with my loved ones recovery. Helping with billing options, and giving my loved one exceptional care.
God forbid if I ever have a serious medical issue. But if I do, I really hope I end up in this hospital, cuz in my experience I know I'm going to receive excellent care, and my family will NEVER be in the dark about my condition.
The ideology of this university is kind of ridiculous. There's alot if pressure to curve students down or grade harshly so this university can appear tough. They also don't so enough to help students live in this expensive area.
Warren College s engineering program is on par with institutions such as Stanford and UC Berkeley. UC San Diego has six outstanding schools all with a unique academic focus. Add to this an environment that encourages self-motivated students to study rather than party. This may seem difficult to believe when you consider that the climate at UCSD is one of the most appealing out of all the universities in the United States. On top of all this, don t forget the SALK Institute, the VA-Hospital and the Scripps Research Institute.
Great school with lots of amazing professors. A Google Maps review really can't do it justice. Awesome environment, fun people, and a great experience.
UCSD Health systems is amazing. I have no complaints from here. The inpatient food is top notch. (Sometimes I think I'm in a 5 star restaurant.) Always very clean. Staff is really respectful and helpful.
Although I attended UCSD a number of years ago. I still feel that I made the best choice by attending here. One of my favorite experiences there was taking scuba diving as a PE class
