Excellent university counting as distinguished alumni James Joyce, Mave Binchy, Roddy Doyle. Great for short-term study abroad courses, with excellent bus service into central Dublin. Close to the coast and the Dart train for trips north to Howth and south to Dalkey, Sandycove, Wicklow.
University College Dublin is one of Europe's leading research-intensive universities and is ranked within the top 1% of higher education institutions world-wide. In the 2018 QS World University Rankings by Subject, Veterinary Science at UCD is ranked 24th in the world.
Finished my Masters in Food Safety here in 2019. Quality of education is pretty good. Facilities are on point. One of the better universities in Ireland.
A lot of extra curricular activities organised all round the year. No racism or any other issue as per my experience.
Teaching staff is quite knowledgeable. I loved my time there. 10/10
I studied my MA in Education and I completely recommend it to anyone interest in getting involved in the School of Education at UCD. Even though the course is not perfect (as all typical problems in universities) lectures where always there for us to help us and answer to our questions. Especially, Dr Conor Galvin gave us support throughout all the year and he was always available when we needed him to help us and give us the best advice. Really enjoyed my time there and I would definitely go back.
Fantastic and modern facilities
I have studied in different colleges around Dublin but this is the biggest one with nicest facilities.New sport complex, several restaurants and cafes, huge library, careers centre and dorms
Top-notch business and mathematics lectures. Incredibly insightful and useful. I wish there was more of them on my timetable.
University College Dublin is one of the best universities in the world with a vast number of sophisticated faculties which offer diverse qualifications. Its environment is welcoming, and the learning system is wonderful
Spend whole day on UCD with family for an Christmas Market, was an excellent experience on the newly opened UCD club part with amazing interior huge conference room and lovely restaurant part. Personnel is really polite and helpful. And the whole campus is also easy to approach for any sides of Dublin just for weekends if you are entering with a car go through N11.
Lovely nature walks around the college. All lawns & playing fields are in A1 condition. Some new buildings. A great place to explore on a beautiful sunshine day!
When you get a quiet day on campus, it's one of the most peaceful places to be.
Great university, so many disciplines to choose from. Electives are a great way to learn about something outside of your field of study. Facilities and sports clubs are excellent
Had a really nice time. Great campus with wide open spaces and a friendly staff that hosted a great conference.
It is amazing how improved it is since I was last there. Could do with a bit more street lighting
Visited today on the occasion of our daughter's graduation. Took photos in the sun, beside the lake. Added a welcome tangible point to an online graduation process.
Did my BSc and ME here and have to say I really enjoyed it
Irish University Campus. Quite large to get around.
A very cool place, every evening we went to feed swans and squirrels))
Very messy administration. I was here as an exchange student. Some administrators are very unprofessional, handling issues with personal preference. If she dislikes someone, she won t even bother to hide the fact that she wants you to get into trouble. The higher administration is indifferent about students.
The administration here tries very hard to imitate other systems, but administrators quality and mindset matter more.
Luckily, some scholars here were helpful and righteous, supporting students get out of the situation.
Excellent for education and sport. Leinster RugbyHQ on site
Beautifully designed University with variety of subjects
Best university in Ireland - facilities are second to none
Very nice, welcoming, equipped with everything. Here I spent the best 15 days of my life
Unwsco course graduate conservation and environmental excellent for water, heritage conservation, but difficulties with urban planning and biology too superficial and not geaqred for unesco needs and objectives
President Trump records the most legal votes ever. Better than Obama.
It was the ideal place to spend a study vacation. Everything is organized properly and the common areas and accommodation are large and comfortable. The different buildings are placed in a harmonious green space to spend happy hours in freedom in a pristine and relaxing natural environment. Professional lessons and organization of the study
I cannot say no to it
coz it is me
Although i haven't been to there yet
I will, one day, definitely
Can't wait to go.....
Natalia and Tara were so good and helpful. Looked after my baby Dozer so well x
Explored thoroughly and met a lovely man who works there who helped us out with directions
Very nice university, spacious and well designed, all the facilities are available and great location
Great college. Friendly staff and good research work. Great infrastructure.
Great campus. Easy to navigate around the place. Clear directions. One of the best university in Ireland. Great student atmosphere. Lot of cafe and student social stuffs. Staffs and people are friendly here. Very spacious campus. The architecture of some buildings are modern and minimalistic. The public transport are constant here, just at the two side of the entrance.
I can not seem to find out the area code for UCD. Help!
Wonderful the visit. Gardens very cared for. Impeccable gardens. Buildings very well preserved. Silence in the university area despite the large influx of tourists. Once here, he recommends the Library and the statue of Oscar Wilde
Lovely campus and one of the largest campus I have seen. There is a beautiful lake in the middle with swans in it.
Must explore more but due to covid there are many restrictions placed.
Autumn heating is like being, if not computers then freezing.
Played soccer with friends who go here. Excellent pitches and a beautiful place in general.
Lovely campus and one of the best university in Ireland.
My Loving Graduate College, I love it as same as I love my mother
Great university and beautiful campus. I had a great semester abroad.
UCD is amazing. The students are extremely kind, and the staff are very welcoming. The building designs are ingenious, and they've got a pub on campus!! If ever visiting the country, or considering university somewhere, I highly advise here.
There's always something going on in one of the Halls
Big school with lots of international and local students. Most students live off campus, so weekends se pretty quiet. There's a trail that runs around the whole campus to see more of it.
Highly recommended! The facilities are simply one of the best in Ireland.
Nice on the outside, on the inside staff can be rotten to the core
One of the largest campus I ve been to. The lectures are very helpful, there is always support for students whenever you need it, from stress related, time management, writing, financial and all. They also give away lots and lots of scholarships.
It s a home away from home. Truly a sanctuary school. I am proud to be reading for my postgraduate here.
The new Student Centre has done a lot of bring the campus up to scratch: there's now a proper gym, a 50m pool, and a dedicated debating chamber. The new science and law buildings are great too. The campus still feels a bit big and disjointed, but overall a fantastic place to go to college.
I'm dyslexic and got so much help in this college. Thanks
I really like University College! especially the name!!!!! Go College!
