It's a shopping mall on an enormous scale with a really surprising lack of stores. But the escalators sure look cool.

Awesome downtown mall, best entrance on mission st.
It is always a great time stopping at the Westfield San Francisco Center each time I come into the city. I enjoy getting a cup of coffee at the center before heading up the escalator into downtown San Fran. The shops at the center at varied, and interesting. Dining at the center is fun and always Yummy with its different variety of food available.
The mall is OK. There are plenty of "mom/pop" stores mixed along with the brand name stores. This place reminds me of Fallbrook Mall way back when. They do have the good stores like Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret, and New York & Co. Oh and there's Urban Outfitters and a GAP outlet (outside of the mall). They're missing an H&M and more brand name stores.
It's a mall, but come on, they have arched escalators, fun to ride and act like a total tourist.
Fun place to shop in San Francisco. Crowded on weekends. Bart drops you off right at Westfield.
Typical Westfield. Not as large or nice as the ones in Australia but comfortable and clean.
One stop shopping. Great place to shop and eat. Accessible to Bart and cable cars.
Not a safe place. I got a knife pulled on me and no security anywhere
This is quite a cool mall. Everything one would expect from such a diverse and eclectic city. Thoughtfully designed layout. Easy to get around. Open, and full of space. A great many shops all filled with wonderful, pleasant, and knowledgeable staff. And, surprisingly, I was able to find parking in a garage nearby without much fuss.
Great shopping mall, lots of stores and nice restaurants. We had a great day and a delicious lunch.
Good variety and lots of selection. Even has a pc bong in the form of a Razer store.
There is a food court in the basement. A wide lineup of Korean, Chinese, Thai and Japanese dishes. If you're tired of oily American food, Japanese food is recommended. You can make your favorite salad bowl with rice, vegetables, sashimi, toppings, etc. and eat it.
Great selection of shops, food, and movies and well located in the city near a BART/mini station so can be a convenient location to meet up with someone.
Great mall right downtown. Lots of great stores and an upscale food court.
One of the best malls in the Bay Area. Excellent stores, restaurants, food courts and entertainment. Highly recommended.
One Stop Shop, Eat, Movies! One of my favorite places!! Love coming here!!!
Excellent shopping mall.
Don't forget to look up at the historic dome that covers the spiral escalators!!!!
When the temperature soared to 106F, this was the place to be! Air-conditioned, clean, good food court downstairs, decent movie theatre upstairs.
One of the better shopping malls in the Bay area. It has, however , gradually declined from when it first opened, apparently as a consequence of the greed of the landlords. For example, the spectacular food court with Bristol grocery and terrific Thai restaurant etc has been hurt seriously by restaurants leaving. Bristol apparently left after the landlord wanted to raise rent 25%. Wonder how that's working out for them since the space has been empty for at least a year. I expect the place will continue to slowly decline as the landlord squeezes good businesses out in favor of renting only to national chains that can afford their ridiculous rents. For now it is well worth visiting especially when paired with a trip to union square or to movies. Parking is reasonable across the street in the 5th and mission garage.
On most days, the place is calm enough to get some shopping done, especially if you know which store and what to shop. Never tried food inside. However, you should probably not be eating in there anyway.
For men's fashion, this is a good bang-for-time-spent mall
1. H&M
2. Express Men
3. J. Crew
4. Banana Republic
5. Gap
Many other fashion brands that I don't care much for. Also, across the store is GAP and Union Square with Uniqlo.
It was a good experience.. There were a lot of people
Very nice place fir shopping. Everything is there!!
A lot has changed senice it's open but it a place where you can dine fast food to elegant dinning
Decent shopping mall, all the stores seemed so small though, and I couldn't really find what I wanted
Huge mall. Lots to see and do. 6 or 8 floors of shop till you drop!
Very large mall you wouldn't expect to find behind an almost hidden door !
Once you're in, you get that it is huge, and you can easily find whatever outlet you want !
And to eat, you'll find a nice food court with all types of food or almost !
To sum up, this mall has it all :)
And it is moreover really well located on Market Street !
Good to plan a date here as one of the person is going to be late sometimes by ridiculous 40 mins. Might as well shop here while you wait 40 mins passes by in 5 mins. Directly above powell bart station so don't have to drive and try to find parking then park 5 blocks away or worse.
Have lot of stores, food court, ice creams, restrooms, watches, sunglasses, etc.
We just passing through. Some homeless people are here.
Five floors of nonsense lol. Most of the nicer stores have moved out of the mall for their own buildings in the surrounding area. I swear to God after going in this mall Bloomingdale's has been following me around the city. Everywhere I turn there is an ad from them now...
Very nice mall with lots of stores and places to eat! Great walking distance from the piers! Gets a little crowded over the weekends but is still a great shopping place!
Wow huge shopping complex, great selection of shops and eateries
City version of the mall, lot of different retail and food court. Mostly high end clothes.
The place is huge with a whopping eight floors and a futuristic design. Lots of shopping options are provided. I like its twisted escalators in the middle as I had never seen these before. The mall is located at the greatest touristic sight in San Francisco. The only thing that I disliked iz that nearly half of the mall had expensive stores.
Nice covered mall/indoor shopping center with just about everything you might wish for. Don't recall if there is a pet store within.
Very big department store with a lot of technology stores.
It is not only an enormous shopping mall (being as it is several stories)but it also has the greatest variety stores from down in the food courts to up in the clothes stores.
I think this is a nice mall. That being said, I think there is way too many food choices that took space I would have rather see spent in more health, beauty and fashion stores.
We just call this place Bloomingdales, as it is The anchor store. We park across the street
at 5th and Mission. It can be a zoo...if you like indoor malls you will be fine...vast assortment I
Of high end stores.
Love this mall!
This is neither an outdoor not a strip mall. Rather you enter a building and find this to be a huge .all. Bloomingdale's can be entered via Mission st. Nordstrom is on the 5th st. You have to take the elevator to go to Nordstrom from the mall. There's no direct door unlike in any other mall. The food court is in the basement level where BART emtramce is. There used to be many good options. This time I left hungry as I couldn't find anything I could eat
The Westfield Mall gets 5 stars for the following reasons. The size of the mall is very impressive and I really like going to the top floor there you are underneath this dome which is beautiful. Next, I like for the most part the different stores they provide. This is important that the Westfield Mall keeps this course as I see more stores outside of the mall closed. Last, the food to choose from. I love it no I hate it no I love having the option of choosing my dish to eat from a ton of different places in the food court. The Westfield Mall in San Francisco gets 5 stars and everyone should come out and support this business.
It s nice and central, and they have a very good WiFi
Amazing luxury stores and great for visitors that love fashion, simple shopping and great deals
The shops are a bit more expensive, but a lot of choice. The food line in the lower area is great.
