This is a great park for smaller kids. The main attraction is without doubt the ride on the steam train, with all the sounds and smells, with the short trip around the hill stopping for some wild west entertainment (tip: sit on the right). great for all ages (somewhat lost on the toddlers, but they still laugh at the silliness).

Then you can explore the other rides, and there are a few for all ages, although more like funfair rides. Especially the bumper car track and cheese mine mini train for the toddlers.

With next day included if you enter after 3pm, this is a great way to get more time to explore everything. And also you can avoid the mid day crowds by visiting late afternoon.

Only negative is the food is quite pricey, and $3 for a bottle of water is plain greedy.

All around family fun. If you ride the train and want to see the shows set on the right side of the train cars in the 2nd or 3rd car for the best view. The park employees are freindly. They have the normal over priced food but that's what you expect.

Christmas Tweetsie is well done. Thought it was on the expensive side when purchasing tickets but felt it was worth it after it was all said and done. Love Tweetsie in general; very clean, friendly staff, big enough that there is plenty to do but small enough that it is not overwhelming for the kiddos, good food, and a beautiful steam train in an incredible setting.

Price is kind of high, but at least everything is included. May want to wear a ball cap and sunglasses on train ride since some fly ash will fall on you, but overall a fun time for the whole family.

Not worth spending $45 for a ticket for visitors older than 12 years. No water rides. No good options for food either. Better to spend time in theme parks with more, better rides and food courts. I don't think the reviews on this page could be followed.

I would say this place is kitschy, in that the entertainment isn't on par with other theme parks and it falls flat at times. For example, there's a magic show and the magician performs about 4 simple tricks, one of which is a promotion to buy a prop. The rides are fun, but basic. Overall, this place is more geared towards younger kids.

A must experience when you're in Blowing Rock during the holidays! Super family friendly and there's nothing like riding the train singing along to christmas music and seeing the christmas lights! Definitely romantic!

We visited on the 4th of July and expected it to be crazy crowded, but it wasn't. We had a BLAST!! My little girl is 3 years old and there was lots for her to do. She absolutely loved the rides, and the workers were all so friendly and helpful. The best part was the fireworks. It was hands down the best fireworks display I've ever seen. The park was super kid friendly, had plenty of clean restrooms, the actors were fun, and it made my kid's vacation! I hope to make this a Fourth of July tradition!

This place is the most overpriced amusement park I have ever been to. The rides are in various states of repair (all 6 rides). The food is worse than McDonald's.

The only thing worth while was the train ride.

After paying over 100 dollars for admission for 2 adults and one child I was more than disappointed.

Do not waste your money.

This was our second trip to Tweetsie. We really enjoy it here. There is plenty to do and it hasn't been very crowded either time we came. Not a place for roller coaster riders, as they don't have any of those, but it's a great time with younger children. As we were leaving the park yesterday, my son said "This has been the greatest day ever!". << That's a win every time. :)

Took the family for the Tweetsie Christmas and what a huge ripoff at almost $40 a person to get in everything was closed and the stuff that they had cost extra besides your 1 ride on the train and meeting santa. Want smores? How about another $5.50 on top of the $38 you paid to get in. Want hot cocoa $3.50 for a small cup. Want a picture $12. At the large cost for entry some of the stuff should of been included.

Lots of fun for younger kids they can do most of the rides on non Christmas time

Awesome place for kids of all ages! Great place for a quick day trip. Enough packed in here to keep coming back. Really enjoyed the chair lift and train rides. Nice selection of foods and treats to keep you going. Can't wait to go back!

I was a little thrown at first by the cost of the park. However, my kids had a great time. The train ride was fun. Some of the props need to be updated, and we had to assure our 3 year old they were "pretending" cowboys and indians. They have some rides for smaller children, cars to drive around a track, carousel, ferris wheel, tilt a whirl. My children loved deer park and feeding the animals. They also enjoyed the smaller mouse train ride. There were several items that had additional charges including "state fair" types of games, face painting, gem mining, an arcade. We didn't get to see the saloon show and can can dancing because our little ones were worn out. This park did have the nicest workers of any park I've ever been to.

The Christmas train was a great experience! Tweetsie did a beautiful job with their Christmas lights. The younger kids enjoyed the other small amusements dotted around the park. Food options are somewhat limited and overpriced, but that's to be expected at any amusement park.

It s a wonderful way to get out and enjoy outdoor time. I must say that the park is definitely geared more toward children as most of the interactions with show staff can be quite obnoxiously corny. I want to call this a western themed park but the western theme just isn t strong enough to justify the description. In addition, the cost of park access is continuing to climb. At the time of writing this, the cost of regular season times for two adults is a whooping $100 and they really don t get to do anything at their own level. Financially not worth it.

Don't waste your money. Mostly for kids. $52. for adults and this was mostly a 3 mile train ride and a short chair lift ride. Not sure that kids wouldn't get bored rather quickly. Not a lot of kid rides. And a lot of things wasn't even open. Even if you have to spend a little more money go somewhere else.

Family loves it. Lots of stuff for kids to do. Daughter loves the train and shows. Also loves the tornado ride and petting zoo. Just did the Christmas night they had on saturday and daughter loved it. The wife and I not so much. The train ride is cool with the lights but there is 20-45 minute wait on santa, snowglobe and shows are jammed pack with no place to sit at any of the times we tried. Train ride was quick and it never stopped so it breezed by and you only get 1 ride a visit. This is the first year they have done this so there will be kinks. Hopefully open up the arcade area to dissipate the crowd some instead of bunching us all in one area.
