Tweetsie Railroad Review

We love it here. I came when I was a little girl and now I'm taking my children.

Nice park, very kid friendly. Had a good time. Expect everything to be expensive.

A place that all parents should take their kids at least one time

Awesome place. I grew up going to tweetie with my parents and grandparents. And my husband and I have continued that tradition with or own kids.

Took the 8 year old grand daughter. We loved all the rides and the arcade. The train ride is the best. It makes stops as if being robbed by bandits and continues on. A train ride with a play. Each car has a deputy sheriff so you will be an active part of the play. A small petting zoo with tons of mini goats to pet and feed. Plan to spend 3 or so hours.

Great place for kids and grow ups the train ride is good too and cowboys and Indians put on a good show.

Our two year old grandson loves Tweetsie! We bought season tickets! We can't wait for Thomas!

Tweetsie is the best place for families. Full of fun and adventure for ALL ages

We loooove loooove loooove the Tweetsie Railroad. Everything that you do is super fun. We found some gems, got face painting, rode rides, and my personal favorite was loving on the baby goats. They were so precious that I live with a urge to get one now, and the piggies as well. So adorable!

I have to tell you that as a fan of old steam locomotives, I LOVED Engine #12 that pulls the train during Christmas at Tweetsie's. Fully impressed!

Fun. Not a lot of rides, but enough to do to spend a day, for good family fun.

Great fun for kids but make sure you have some money with you they aren't the most expensive theme park I've been to but not the cheapest one either

We had a nice time with paw paw and the kids. Glad they had wheelchair rentals since some hills are steep. Nice old school feel we were hoping for.

So, so, sooooo much fun! Such a great place to take the family. There is the train of course, but so much more. They have rides, shops, and dinning. We had such a good time here. We went for Tweetsies Christmas.

Great tourist destination. Old West type amusement park. They even have a train you can ride on. A real antique train

It was a beautiful and great day! The employees were very friendly and the rides where fun for kids of all ages. The train ride with the cowboys and indians is a great way to ride an old coal burning locomotive and have a good old western time! Would recommend it for anyone who wants to have a great time with the family!! Can't wait until next year opening day 2020!!

Tweetsie Railroad is amazing! The train ride was fun. I loved the decorations and the fact that it was snowing when I got there. It's the perfect place to visit during Christmastime.

Great place and very fun,just a little pricey on tickets but it's very fun to expirence.

Authentic old style amusement park that our grandchildren love. Clean grounds and incredibly polite employees.

Overpriced, but not as bad as some. (Take your state-employee name badge for a discount.) The rides were well-maintained, the cowboy fight was wonderfully terrible, and the magic act we caught was great.

Great place for taking the whole family teens may be a little bored

Very disappointed with Tweetsie Railroad, it was our first and probably last visit here. The cost is way too much for what you get for your money
First off, adults cannot go on a lot of rides they are geared for young children. Why would it be 50.00 for adults? There should be a option just to go there and ride the big train. If you go to other amusement parks you get so much more for your money. There should be a bracelet you wear to go on rides that you pay extra for. It started to rain hard and thunderstorms so they closed all the rides. We weren't going to wait hours to have the rides reopen. It's not like you got any money back because the rides were closed. Also we happened to stop at the visitor center on the way to Tweetsie Railroad, we asked about money off coupons for Tweetsie as we saw in advance how expensive it was, the woman there said Tweetsie didn't have coupons but you could get money off if you at a AAA card. Which we did. It took 3.00 off each ticket. When we bought the tickets it was not posted anywhere and the cashier did not mention it, we told her we had AAA card. I have to say they did have a nice petting zoo. For .50 you could buy a ice cream cone with feed in it for the animals.

I was a little disappointed that this establishment does not give a discount for veterans! They do for active duty but not retirees or veterans.

I'm a kid at heart and Tweetsie Railroad is right up my alley. There is so much to do and see. Well worth the drive( I live in Charlotte, NC)and money. Go, you won't be disappointed....

Had a blast the wild west show along with Thomas the train was great. The animal petting area my 3 yr old love and he had a ball "mining" for rock and lost treasures. But Thomas was real big hit for him!

Very pricey for what you get. Not changed much in 30 years. Security did not seem to be very good

Kids of all ages will enjoy Tweetsie. The food is way overpriced though.

Wonderful family times are made here! I have been a season pass holder for 5 year, my kids love it and so do I!

Fun for the little ones but, it s pricey for what you get. Everybody should go once just for the historical train ride.

Had a great time planning on going back soon very nice family run place to spend time with the entire family we had a blast!!!

Truth is, even we the Parents had fun!

Great amusement park nowhere as big or nice as Dolly Wood but definitely worth the drive. There aren't long lines to wait in either and it is considerably cheaper then Dolly Wood.

This is the perfect amusement park for a low key day of family fun! Lots of different activities, something for everyone. The park is split into levels but they give you several ways of going from one to another: ski lift, walking path and bus. The park isnt so big that you cant do everything in one day. And great food options, too.

I have been going to Tweetsie since 1986. It is a well maintained theme park that I now enjoy with my nephews.

If you have a child it's a good place to spend a weekend. Better to go on Sundays during church hours. Much easier to enjoy the park without the congestion.

The Christmas Train ride is really great. We all loved it. A bit cold so wear gloves etc.

Hadn't been in 30 years. The staff was very nice and answered all questions with a smile. Definitely take time to to see the shows. This park is fun for all, but I certainly believe the less than 10 yr old crowd will enjoy more than your teenager.

My kids and my first time going, their mom has been a few times, but we all loved it, we will definitely be back again.

I loved it when my kids were small. But now the admission prices has gone totally insane. 110.00 is ridiculous.

All employees had a great attitude. It was chilly we had a great time. Good memories.

Great place to bring your kids. Not too crowded at all! Great weather.

We visited the park about a week ago and we were not impressed. I personally think is over priced for the quality of the park. It was like a big country fair, the staff in costumes was cute but that was really it. The coolest thing was the train, pretty impressive but thats about it.

Step back in time to the days of the wild west complete with a ride on the original steam engine the used to serve passengers between Boone, NC and Johnson City, TN - Something for all ages to enjoy. Beautiful location in the North Carolina Mountains between Boone and Blowing Rock and near other attractions like Mystery Hill, High Gravity Adventures, The Blowing Rock, Horn in The West, Mast General Store, Grandfather Mountain and more.

It was a great family weekend getaway. My kids didn't want to leave. They loved the rides, shows, and food.

Great place for them toddlers, teens to be with family and have fun.

Their special events are the best. The location in Boone is convenient and in a beautiful setting. The rides are fun for everyone.

All around family fun. If you ride the train and want to see the shows set on the right side of the train cars in the 2nd or 3rd car for the best view. The park employees are freindly. They have the normal over priced food but that's what you expect.

My daughter and I favorite place for xmas so far...it is so magical and nice...just no words can describe it...

Great Place for kids especially one's who live trains

Our family loves tweetsie s! Great for smaller kids with lots of rides, petting zoo and vendors.

What a fun time! My young children LOVED it. We purchased season passes so we can come many more times. There were hardly any lines, the rides seemed well-maintained, and it was clean. We were able to bring in our own food. Bathrooms were clean and available on each level. The staff was very friendly and seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. We can't wait to go back!

Would have given them 5 stars, but when you buy tickets for a specific time frame for the ghost train and you have to wait on the next train because they overbooked upsets people. There were at least 14 of us who could not get on the 9:30 train due to this. And there were possibly more that I didn't know of.
