Can t recommend this tranquil setting enough! Great place to take the family or visiting friends to give them a deeper understanding of the beauty and complexity of the Willamette Valley watershed. So many different ecosystems and habitants thriving alongside one another and constantly changing. This is a must stop for photographers and you ll often see the professionals out with all their gear. I ve found them to be a wealth of information and they ve always shared tips with me to make my own wildlife photography just a little better. Go visit this weekend and enjoy!

This is a gem in the Tualatin/Sherwood area - I love coming here in the evening. If you come earlier, there are beautifully maintained walking paths that lead to a birdwatching site, so bring binoculars if you have them. It has a gorgeous sunset view!

AMAZING place to stroll, walk the trails, enjoy the trees and fresh air! LOTS of migratory birds to view as well. The trails are very easy to manage, mostly paved, not a long haul...plan on spending 1-2 hours. No dogs allowed as this is a wildlife preserve.

It's a great place for wildlife viewing and nature walk with your children. There are two paths one is closed from October 1st til April 30th. I highly recommend it for families and bird lovers. The visitor center is pretty neat too.

Nice place for an easy 3+ mile walk along flat trails. Saw several cranes, herons, geese, ducks and nutria. Want to try it again in spring or early summer when it's greener, but very pleasant walk around the refuge.

Enjoyed a nice, easy-going walk around most of the trails, and I ll be back to walk the rest of the trails. Gravel service roads and trails make this an accessible walk for most visitors. Total elevation gain over my 3.25 mile walk was about 45 feet, so not strenuous at all. Saw a variety of birds and some deer, mostly just enjoyed getting out of the house!

Got there last Saturday morning at 7 AM and had a peaceful and beautiful 3 mile hike along the perimeter of the refuge. Despite being a weekend not too many folks out that early in the day. Saw many different bird species (part of the plan!) as well as frogs in the Water Delivery Channel on the South side. Wildlife Visitor Center a good starting or finishing point, but was not open till 10 AM on the day I visited.

Great place to go birding! We picked up 30 different species! The place is very well kept. You do not have to worry about muddy trails because every path is graveled. The signs on the trails are also enjoyable to red, especially for children. Overall it was a nice 3 mile walk!

The trail runs along the river and is well maintained. This would be a good and easy access walk for smaller children and a great place to introduce them to conservation.

There are comfortable benches long the trail if you need a rest or even if you want to stop and listen to the frogs and birds that enjoy this space. You may also see newts along your path but please don't pick them up as they are toxic.
