Small, dirty, hot, not enough room to sit, the indications on the dashboard are illegible and insufficient, no agent to answer passengers' questions. Shame it's the main train station in Tunis.

Lack of professionalism, disregard for time and appointments in the absence of order and disrespect for travelers' times in an irresponsible and provocative manner!
While the administrators and officials of the company do not move a finger and do not fulfill the duty required of them, while the train drivers act on the train as if it is their own without respecting neither the required safety rules nor the ethics of the profession that the supervisors of the company do not possess at all, as they gather in a mean and primitive way that does not rise to the level of this era that We live it! ... We demand the isolation of all these groups that have distorted the company and continue to distort it with protection from family conglomerates controlling the company s structure without any right, not before the Ministry of Transport, not before the state!

A 10-minute walk south of Habib Bourguiba Road, the city bus station is also nearby.
Suddenly, I went to get the timetable the day before I planned a day trip to "Susu", but at the ticket booth, I was able to speak English and taught me how to handle round-trip tickets carefully.
All the station staff were very kind and alleviated the feeling of being tired from the heavy delays and heat of the train.
After passing through the ticket gate, there was also a waiting room where about 30 people could sit.

It's almost impossible to find anything to eat, the worst train you've ever seen, even if you don't want to eat shit. The waiting room was one of the worst places I've ever seen. It was very difficult to breathe because there was nothing like a fan inside. A mixed train station. We took our ticket for an hour before our train at 2.20 and we waited for 3 hours until the train was canceled. The next time we had to change, it was once at 6 o'clock. All day died in vain. Also, it is not important that you buy a ticket first class or second class, but everyone who lives casually.

About Societé Nationale des Cchemins de Fer Tunisiens

Societé Nationale des Chemins de Fer Tunisiens (SNCFT) is a Tunisian public enterprise that manages, maintains, and operates the country's railway network. Established in 1956, SNCFT has been playing a crucial role in Tunisia's transportation sector by providing safe and reliable rail services to millions of passengers every year.

With its headquarters located in Tunis, SNCFT operates over 2,000 kilometers of railway lines across the country. The company employs more than 7,000 people who work tirelessly to ensure that the trains run on time and provide a comfortable journey for their passengers.

One of the key objectives of SNCFT is to promote sustainable transportation by encouraging people to use trains instead of cars or buses. By doing so, they aim to reduce traffic congestion on roads and minimize carbon emissions that contribute to climate change.

SNCFT offers various types of train services such as regional express trains (TER), suburban trains (Léger), intercity trains (IC), night trains (TNR), and international trains connecting Tunisia with neighboring countries like Algeria and Libya. The company also provides freight transport services for goods such as minerals, agricultural products, industrial equipment, etc.

To ensure passenger safety and comfort during their journey with SNCFT, the company has implemented several measures such as regular maintenance checks on all its rolling stock including locomotives and carriages. They have also installed modern signaling systems along with CCTV cameras at stations for enhanced security.

In addition to providing excellent rail services for its customers' convenience; SNCFT also contributes significantly towards Tunisia's economic growth by creating job opportunities directly or indirectly through its operations. Moreover; it helps boost tourism in Tunisia by offering scenic routes through picturesque landscapes across the country.

Overall; Societé Nationale des Chemins de Fer Tunisiens is an essential player in Tunisia's transportation sector that provides safe; reliable; eco-friendly train services while contributing towards economic growth & development. With its commitment towards continuous improvement & innovation; it aims to become one of Africa's leading railway companies while maintaining high standards of quality service delivery for all stakeholders involved - passengers or freight customers alike!
