I am sorry but the staff it is disorganized and disturbed me all mornings during my stay.
I am sorry but the staff it is disorganized and disturbed me all mornings during my stay.
very mediocre hotel for the money. The rooms were not very clean and there was a bad smell.
I appreciate the help by the person's at the front desk
The lobby is pretty nice with friendly staff. The rooms are very average, the decor is a little creepy/seedy. My room had a door to the next room (family room) so I could hear everything from my neighbours. Breakfast is very average also.
The wall painting decoration gives some character to the hotel. Otherwise it would have been average.
Very comfortable rooms, nice hotel staff. Good breakfast.
Reasonable room, super small shower and scary parking garage, just basement for scooters so narrow.
Nice hotel and rooms, not so easy to park and rather noisy
Great place to stay, very clean hotel, and people ready to welcome you.
Lovely hotel with a warm welcoming and friendly staff! Would visit again if I had a chance.
A black and peeling paint in all the corridors and doors of the rooms and with very little light in the corridors. The room is correct and clean but in the bathroom you fix with 2 lights of 20W. There are two elevators of which one does not work and it must be borne in mind that the hotel has 8 floors, which is not the best way to get on and off with suitcases
The wall are soo thin , you can hear EVERYTHING. My neighbor had fun with her boyfriend for approx. 2 hrs and I HEAR EVERYTHING. Some customer came home at 4 am and I woke from them talking ( they were drunk but even - you should not hear them) The room door was not sealed and you could literally see through it, so no wonder that you can everything. While clean and friendly staff - if you cant sleep because of the noise .. no go for me.
Had to stay here for two weeks .Absolutely wrong choice it was. despite a very funny setup of internet- most of apps on my phone required a multiple resign in ....but the internet was quick.
Cons: rooms are pretty manky. my one -120 had a stains of killed insects on the walls and on the ceiling.despite do not disturb sign on the door, the staff was entering the room ???? on the firth day of my stay half of the sockets in the walls stopped working, when I asked Belgian staff to have a look at the problem - i got promised but nobody came at all- sitting here a second day without the light ! Two days later one guy has exchanged my room for higher class one with working el. sockets.
You have to pay for the coffee unless you book top the range rooms for extra price . Breakfast is a pretty basic buffet -15 Euros .
Car parking is the separate story - it cost 20 euro a day and the garage is so small that the car size of Rav4 is barely fitting in the driveway. Also it has a limited -around 10-12 cars capacity which is not guarantied if you come there.
On the first floor was terribly stinking with the sewage ????
The hotel was booked by travel team of my company- I will submit the note to be aware of all issues of this hotel !
Poorly slept adjoining room having made extremely noise. The first night we thought they were preparing to go to a party ... But the second night was accompanied by music and songs until 04:00 in the morning ... The cleanliness is worse than the first time. .. The paint on the walls is peeling and the broken bulbs had not been replaced. In short, bad second impression when the first time we were delighted with this hotel.
Breakfast was always good and staff happy to help. Stayed there on and off for 9 months and not a bad thing to say.
Beautiful and reasonably priced hotel. Very pleased with the bath instead of the shower. Good hotel location, free street parking, paid in the hotel garage
Very nice hotel. Nice home. Comfortable beds. We would have liked to park at the guest parking which unfortunately was full. Easy access to the city center.
Good service, good bed only the walls could use a coat of paint
As a regular (business) traveller, this is by far the worst hotel I have ever visited.
As a local person you could expect for the staff to speak the local language. Unfortunately you need to look for a long time.
The service at the bar is a joke.
We were sitting at our seats and while several waiters were running around no one (wanted) to see us, so we needed to get up and get our own drinks.
The room is really aged and worn out. Totally not the rooms which they use to advertise with on the internet.
When we wanted to see some tv, the tv did not work and the reception proposed at 11pm to give us another room as there was no one available anymore to help us.
For us this will be a one time experience and never again.
I m very disappointed. This hotel is not what I expect for a Wyndham property. Bad maintenance, next time I will go with the NH Collection. Do not recommend it. It s not close to the central station, usually you need to walk. Taxis don t want to make this trip and there is no Uber here.
This is a haunted hotel. I ve heard weird sounds (raps) during the night, inside the walls and on the floor.
Good enteral Hotel close to the station and shopping. Breakfast decent - rooms comfortable
Lobby is recently renovated. Halls and rooms sadly not. Comes with screechy bathroom doors and stains in the carpet.
Actual nice bed and nice and clean bathroom, both the hallway and room were a bit dark at times (not much in the way of lighting). All in all a nice hotel for a citytrip. Big tip are the red bicycles you can rent everywhere in the city.
Stay away... old rooms, no facilities, no don t disturb signs so house keeping wakes everybody up early, airco not functioning, noisy rooms.
Stayed here for the Tomorrowland festival which was a popular choice and offered a bus service there. The rooms were great and nicely air conditioned. However the room service was terrible and we heard they left someones room open for a whole day and the staff at times weren't very nice and helpful and they tried to overcharge us when we booked out when we already paid the fill amount up front so be careful especially of the guy with the medium length brown hair and streched ear piercings he shouldn't be working there with such a rude attitude towards guests.
Nice, decent place for a couple of nights stay. No amenities to speak of and the check in is a bit off, as the reception is mingled with the bar.
Good clean hotel. Staff generally helpful. Only real issue is when friend asked to check in (after a friend and I had already checked in ) he was asked for 20 euros. ......It was less than an hour to when he could have checked in for no cost. .. ?
Top Tip: park outside the hotel on a meter for 3.80 euros a day rather than pay 20 euros a day in the hotel.
Fine to sleep. Shower is strange and placed toilet paper just like sandpaper at school
Dirty hotel, water damage everywhere. Very unsanitary. Completely tired, broken tiles in the elevator. Stripes on the walls everywhere and mold. Shower constantly changes between hot and cold. It is clear that they don't care. The breakfast was also very disappointing, dry bread, eggs completely industrial and tasteless. The only thing that the hotel does have is a clearly coherent theme .... BAD. The staff just didn't want to work. You'll never see us here again. Simply robbery. I will also send this review to the headquarters of the chain.
Good price quality hotel. Close from everything but a bit noisy with the street next to us
Room with up to 30 mosquitoes. There were blood smears on the wall and ceiling. So were not the first to suffer from this. Passed on to reception but nothing was entered.
In general and for the price I give it 4 *. As negative aspects, it needs renovation and maintenance above all of painting and lighting in the room (no head LED lights and lighting is scarce). The receptionist who attended us, very friendly and polite, spoke Spanish and other 4 languages. He indicated that it is not worthwhile to park at the hotel for 15 euros since on the street you can do without problem for 3.5 per 24 hours. Situation not far from the center (15/20 min walk).
The hotel is in need of refurbishment. Very old bed. The carpet that covered the floor was very dirty and smelled very bad. It was a lot of noise from the staff. I didn't like it and I don't recommend it
A beautiful and quiet hotel providing good services
We are not at all fussy, but if the air conditioning does not work normally I say a star!
Discussions with receptionist, room with enormous noise pollution due to drainage from the kitchen (!). Excellent rooms, bathroom is not nicely finished.
At first it was a bit awkward regarding the parking space, but we were finally let in and the rest of the stay was quite enjoyable. It was just an overnight en route, but ok.
small room but enough.... clean room and toilet... quite close to Central station....
Hotel perfectly meets the requirements! It is clean, tidy and everything is easily accessible from the hotel (walking / metro). Large supermarket around the corner. It is ideal to pay at the hotel on arrival day without having to use paypal etc. Also very friendly and helpful staff! We were here Friday-Sunday during festival in Sportpaleis last year, great to walk. In a few weeks again, booked this hotel again! Recommended!
Stuff is quite friendly especially waoters and the bartender. Receptionists are a bit too slow in their job so you have to wait for a while. Rooms are tidy but would need renovation soon (or now). You can see detergents stamps on the carpet and destroyed hooks in bathrooms.
The hotel staff is amazing! Great information on the town and local things to see and do.
Stayed here for one night the room has lot of signs of needing a renovation including odd stain on the carpet, scratches and markets on the walls and rust on the bathroom mirror. The bed was also very uncomfortable and I didn't get much sleep all due to lots of background noise from outside and the bed being two signals. The aircon also only works during summer so the room was stifling hot at times
Nice big hotel with a beautiful reception !! The rooms are also spacious and have a normal standard bathroom! We slept in the back and were not bothered by noise or anything. Here and there something could be renewed in the hotel. You can stay with a dog but it is important to know that they are not allowed in the breakfast room which is not as practical as your room with breakfast booked !!
Uh, I felt I was walking in a brothel. The room was not clean, the were cigarette smell on the corridors say and night, even though it's a non smoking hotel. Would never recommend to anyone.
Nice hotel for a nice price, good breakfast and very friendly staff.
It was my second time at the Tryp Hotel Antwerp. The room was very clean ( apart from the carpet) . The receptionist was very unfriendly on arrival. All the other members of the staff were very friendly. The hotel and the rooms need an urgent refurbishment. The hotel is located outside the city center (still in walking distance to the center) next to the central station and the jewish area. you can find many cozy bars in the nearby neighbourhood. I can recommend the hotel for people who are looking for a low budget accomodation.
Great breakfast and comfortable hotel. Lots of noise from the busy street outside.
Slight under average place. Might of been really nice 10 years ago but now it is just forgotten and nobody is looking after it. Not to mention i felt like the hotel staff were more about getting money from me rather than making me feel relaxed.
Lovely crew nice atmosfere there everybody very friendly.
I'm a lot of mosquitoes in the room. This was 4th floor. Breakfast room was chaotic. The two employees did not come after. We've been waiting for cups forever. Food did not come, since breakfast was almost over. Tables were not cleared we have everything on a different table. Bathtub was catastrophic. No recommendation!!!
What a terrible hotel. The airco did not work. The cooling of the airco brought the room up to close to 30C. When asking for another room the hotel offered me a key to actually open the window. Very noisy street so the sleep quality is ZERO. Also, the windows are old metal to metal framed ones. Even when closed you think that you are actually having a road thru the room. Also, the carpet was stained. The furniture quite shabby. The bathtub has a really big crack in it.
The hotel is not worth the money. Surely not. Stay away!
Been there previously. The first time 1 year ago it was terribly bad. Today its clear they invested in trainings of their staff and freshed up their rooms. I had a great time here.
Everything was fine, just a pity that there was nowhere in Dutch. After all, we are in Flanders. In foreign hotels there is always their own language first and then the various other languages. I personally have no problem with English or French, but not everyone knows a foreign language. Mss a tip to work on ...
Clean rooms but the decor is a bit tired and things are starting to fall apart. In my room (607) the door did not lock, the safe did not work and the were no instructions on how to use it , the window did not lock tight so I had lots of road noise and the skirting had come off and was lying on the floor. Luckily I was too tired to let the road noise disturb my sleep. The location was convenient being close to the central station. Next time I'd perhaps look for another hotel. I chose this hotel over others as it was recommended by the supplier I was visiting.
Was unimpressed, the wifi was horrible not even connecting and the staff could do nothing but make excuses. The bed were comfortable at least.
Great room size, clean with very comfy bed! Plus having a bath was a massive bonus! The staff are very helpful and hotel lobby and bar is of a high standard. Excellent value for money.
Very nice staff, bit old/ cheap quality for the rooms. Basic, put very acceptable
When we wanted to leave our bags at the hotel, the staff said wait 15 min then we can have our rooms, well fast forward a hour later still got no rooms and the guy was stading there, chewing his gum, and al we wanted to do was leave our bags at the hotel till check-in after several times that we asked he was so rude to us thinking we can not understand him.
The room was not at all what was shown online. (false advertising)!! The lift is not in good shape.
The staff is rude and so unhelpful. The bathrooms needs a good clean.
My advice if you want to stay here, keep walking past to the nearest ibis, which is cheaper and you exactly know what you are going to get
Not expensive and good, good choice to stay in antwerpen.
The hotel is fine but a bit out of the way. A shame the water cut caused by the works of the street. Bad luck the hotel is not to blame
Room in poor condition and very dirty curtains.
I asked to change them or wash them and they said it was impossible.
I did not appreciate at all
Stay out of this hotel until it has seen a major renovation, unless you are fond of dirty and damaged walls. Didn't look too clean either. We preferred to look for another place after seeing the "deluxe" room we had booked.
Poor maintenance. Rooms were dirty and hallways dimly lit.
Despite the very friendly, obliging and attentive staff, the hotel is old, in need of a general wash. HVAC system running very poorly in the rooms. Bathrooms and bedrooms need remodeling. Some areas surrounding the floors of the rooms look dodgy regarding cleanliness.
Breakfast area small and not so many to choose Sleep rooms are nice but on road side laud
Hair dryer 0. Breakfast is available from 06:30. It is possible to connect wifi after connecting. Located 15 minutes from downtown. Buses should be parked far away because there is no parking lot. It is a little old and spacious room is good.
Decent hotel for the price you pay. Friendly staff at reception. Breakfast is very good, a mix of hot and cold dishes, everything looks delicious. Stayed twice, first time I had an "normal" room, it's definitely time for an update, lots of stains and small damages on the walls, the lights were loose. Bathroom was okay. The second stay I booked a superior room with the painting on the wall. It's almost the same as a normal room, you only have the painting as an extra. The only that was weird in the superior room was this ventilation fence in the entrance (picture). I would stay there again.
Old rooms, dirty neighborhood, poor inadequate parking. Good enough for a transit, no further.
it was a dead loss. as we went through the main-entrance, we could see one of the ladies at the reception hitting the keyboard of her computer while cursing in dutch. then, after keeping us waiting for like five minutes, she gave us our keycards and we went up to our room. at first: the rooms ARE very small. as i hung my jacket on one of the wall hooks, it came off, and on the backside you could see that it was sticked to the wall by something like a tesa poster strip. the paint on the wall came off here and there. And regardless of the word "design": who in the hell had the idea to put only one table at the side of a two-person-bed? or the light: i had to shave in front of the wardrobe-mirror, because the light in the bathroom was too sparse to recognize anything. at the next day we came to the hotel and somebody forgot his or her very dirty filthy cleaning towel on our table. that night it was very cold too, and our room was very drafty, because it was renovated a short time ago. so went down to the reception. lady: "didn't you were informed about this situation?" we: "no, we weren't." lady: "I'm very sorry about that. I could give you a reduction of 30%, if that's okay." we: "oh, yes, that would be very kind, thank you." lady: "do you want it back or should i book it back on your credit card?" we: "book it back on the card please, thank you." lady: " yes, i will do it right now." a few days ago, my girlfriend checked her account, and she couldn't find any money from the hotel. so she called the reception. the lady said she NEVER said anything like this to this to us. it is so ridiculous. please do yourself a favour: don't go there. thank you.
Very friendly service and neat rooms for this price range
Good value for your money. Close to the center. It would need some renewal work though. Breakfast was run of the mill
Great hotel. The finish of the rooms leaves something to be desired but great bed and it was clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance of the center. We have also been cycling through the city. Very nice. Easy to reach by car.
