Trump international Hotel and Tower, Chicago Review

Although we did not book our hotel reservations here we visited the rooftop on our stay. Trump Hotel was across the street from our booked hotel the London House. After having issues getting on the rooftop of our own hotel we were actually a guest at, we decided to walk across the street to Trump rooftop instead. Even though it was less than a 5 minute walk, what a difference in customer service it made. It was like going from A to Z. When we first arrived we were not interrogated with a million questions like we were at our booked hotel. The staff asked us how we were, welcomed us in and even walked us to the elevator instead of pointing. We didn't have reservations for the rooftop but that didn't matter...they immediately gave us a seat on the couch with an awesome view. When the server came over to ask us what we wanted to drink he was very friendly and made some crafty and creative cocktails for us. Extremely polite staff and I am only in my 30s saying this about this place. I am definitely interested in staying here next visit. I will be back.

Overpriced tacky hotel and bar. Prepare to get gouged. It's really a glorified Howard Johnson. Much better choices in the area.

Luxury hotel with large rooms and modern decoration. Located on the river walk has great views of the entire city.

Sitting right on the river, this is a great place for an evening cocktail. Don't miss it.

I spent a long weekend (Thursday -Sunday) at the hotel and was truly impressed. I travel a great deal for business and have the opportunity to stay in many fine hotels across the world and this ranks with the very best. I used the AMEX Platinum fine hotel program that offers little extras like late checkout, upgrades if available, free breakfast, and hotel $ credit. I was traveling with my son and father and we were first impressed with the location. Center of downtown and walking distance (if not too cold & windy) to many restaurants, shopping, and sites. The building design is imposing but with comfortable, attractive interiors. Staff were over the top pleasant and helpful with a genuine desire to make our stay comfortable. Check-in was "fun" and not rushed. We were upgraded to a top floor suite with two bathrooms, a king bed & a pull-out, kitchen, living room, and setting room. The best city view from a hotel room that I have ever been in (including Vegas). It's always the little things that make a difference, and the hotel did not disappoint. Welcoming gift of fine chocolates and later another tray of refreshments (complimentary). Two housekeeping visits per day with plenty of water and amenities always available. The residents (upper floors) also have access to the common areas and the fitness facility was extensive with spa services available. Breakfast was delicious with high quality service each morning. Beds were comfortable with two large screen tvs available. When I return to Chicago, I will be heading to the Trump hotel without a doubt (why take a chance). My favorite chain has alwasy been Mandarin Oriental but I will be alternating with Trump on future trips if available. Thanks for a great stay. Highly recommended!

I 100% left my bridesmaids dress in the room and I called the same day and they "couldn't find it" - not helpful and no way it would be anywhere else.

I never had a hotel work in harmony as a team as I saw at Trump and unbelievable views from the rooms and restaurants

Came here for our honeymoon. They were very considerate and brought us complementary chocolate covered strawberries. Room was massive and rate was decent, we enjoyed our stay!

The Trump Int'l Hotel and Tower in Chicago has always been a luxury standard since coming here over a decade ago. They have in my opinion has paved the ways for all the lixury hotels you see today. This hotel is still very nice for it's age, but you can tell structural wise it is not as modern as some of the newer luxury hotels. I still enjoy staying here and the amenities it offers.

I've stayed at many hotels in my life but the experience I had at this hotel was absolutely beyond anything I've ever seen. From the warm welcome and smiles to the incredible rooms and food this will always be my choice when visiting a city and a Trump Hotel is around . The best of the best work here , I can't stress enough how much more incredible your stay will be while staying here .

The hotel itself is beautiful. Rooms are spacious, well-decorated, and the kitchenette is a nice touch. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with their customer service and service recovery. My wife and I stayed here for my birthday and we arrived shortly after check-in time. Our room was not ready, and the front desk agent said she would let us know when it was time. After we waited in the lobby for nearly 2 hours and watched dozens of other families check in, I went up to see the agent again and she smiled, apologized, and ended up getting us another room that was ready. When we got to the room, it was not the regular room I booked online. I returned to the front desk and asked for the room to be switched to the one I reserved. The same agent kept telling me that the room she gave us was an upgrade, which I understood, but I did not want a spa room or room by the spa. She seemed annoyed but gave us another room after a twenty-minute wait.
When we finally got to the room we wanted, it was close to 7 PM so we missed our dinner reservation, and we could not go to the show we wanted to see. I ended up calling the front desk manager to express my frustrations, but she just kept pointing to the upgrade that we did not want or ask for which did not help us any. In the morning I found a letter under my door for a free upgrade next time we came. I was frustrated since this did nothing to remedy the situation then and there. Despite the amazing amenities, I lost some confidence in this hotel.

Hi i stayed here and my room was full of cockroaches. Wont stay with Trump again.

Only popped in to use the restroom, so I can only comment on that. Very clean with a lovely smell to the ladies restroom, what more could you want?

Nothing less than exceptional for the presidential named hotel and top level amenities, services and the extras. Turn down service in the evening was a nice touch.

We have never experienced such amazing service and absolutely exceptional quarters. Every employee is attentive, caring and professional. The rooms not only have stunning views, but are so we'll appointed, with luxury amenities. It's all in the details and quakity. I truly feel spoiled.

My girlfriend took me to the Trump Hotel for my birthday and we had an amazing time. As we were checking in the front desk guy wished me a happy birthday right away and offered us some warm towels! After being in awe of the incredible room that we had; a piece of birthday cake was delivered to the room I was not expecting that! Dinner was remarkable at Sixteen and I would recommend that everyone tries it at least once in their lifetime. The service was great and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We came back to the room after dinner and there was a bottle of champagne waiting! Had an awesome bday thanks to my wonderful girlfriend and the great service by all of the Trump Chicago employees!

Awesome place! I love the bathrooms. They have the most amazingly clean bathrooms. Idk why that is just so important to me.

Simply Amazing! Beautiful hotel & rooms. The Grand Deluxe River View room on the 26th floor was jaw dropping! The food from room service was perfect! I would definitely come visit again.
