I called a day early to ask if I could check-in over the phone. I was informed that wasn t possible. I then inquired about early check-in to which I was told if a room is available, I d get it at no extra charge. That s cool but what would ve been cooler is to know that I could also check in early b/c I left my luggage w/ the bell hop that morning. I returned from a conference only to wait in an extremely long line, only to be informed that the room I reserved wasn t available. My organization booked rooms for the conference and I had made my room reservation months in advance.
That evening, I went to the cafe to eat but decided to leave b/c two people attending to 15 people resulted in waiting too long just to put in an order. I even called ahead to ask if takeout was available and was told I d have to retrieve it there, no problem. I head down there only to be told the info. wasn t legit. I then go to the buffet and the waiter ignores me for most of the evening only to attend to couples & the big groups. Forfeit decent service all I m the name of a tip. I mentioned the rude service to management three times during the meal. The busboy graciously got my drink and management provided extra napkins I requested. Only when his section was deserted did he acknowledge my existence. His excuse? He was too busy. I overheard how excited he was to get his $25 to the other waiter. All that was offered as recompense from head management is that they d speak to him. Weak.
Oh, yeah there s no complimentary bottled water offered in the rooms. Also didn t realize there s not a single water fountain in the building. Awesome.
