We live in Nanyuki and have been using Tropic Air for about 2 years to commute two and from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. The office staff have been perfect in communication and dealing with the administrative manners. The flights have always been on time and the pilots well trained and experienced even in bad weather conditions.

The guys and gals at Tropic Air are what you think of when you think of The Great Generation: adventurous, beaming with grace and somehow humble. They have the greatest job in the world flying under that immense sky and they make your vacation the greatest of your life. There seemed to be no end to what we could ask of them ( hey can you get my laptop I left at a camp near the boarder of Tanzania ) and on our last day even flying us right into the tarmac of Jummo Kenyatta airport so we could walk onto our commercial flight making us feel like the newly anointed Queen Elizabeth when she learned she was ascending the throne at the young age of 26. These folks are timeless and above all safe.

My family and several of my friends and I used Tropic Air to fly from Samburu to Lewa while we were on safari. Will D., our pilot, was courteous and professional, the plane was comfortable, the take off and landing smooth. My son and I will be using Tropic Air again next month when traveling within Kenya for some volunteer work. It's a fantastic air service.
Tropic air has always been the best option when it comes to Helicopters, I have always booked guests for a scenic flight especially to Turkana and mount Kenya, the feedback is always spectacular, their pilots are more than just the big five staff they know these areas and their knowledge of history, culture and the environment is dope.
As for the charters starting from the ground handling at Wilson or JKIA airport, the meet and greet is personalized and one is always relaxed if your guests are flying with tropic in any part of the country. The office the pilots and the ground handlers are always in communication definitely a great team and the best charter company to use I would recommend it to anyone wanting a personalised safari experience.
This is a pleasant yet very small airstrip that is located next to Nyeri-Nanyuki road. There are lots of eateries around where you can enjoy as you see small aircraft taking landing and taking off. The food that is available here comes from surrounding rich agricultural hinterlands of Nyeri and other areas. You can't miss to have the local traditional food once you visit this area which is located roughly 2 hrs 30 min from Nairobi on road transport.
Most trips to the wilds of Africa are usually tales of delays, cancellations and low expectations from mainly ragtag charter companies operating from the smaller airports. Dealing with Tropic Air, I was very impressed with the professional and helpful information that I received.The aircraft was waiting for my passengers at the airport, and the friendly professional crew was helpful with their luggage and made them feel comfortable for their flight. The service overall was superb and the passengers arrived at their destination refreshed and on time. I would highly recommend them.
Tropic Air is certainly a proper, proper Regional airline whose flight crews are not only right on top of their game, but are also terribly interesting in conversation. There is very little that they don't know about Kenya, weather conditions and the approach and departure considerations associated with the airfields that they use. They seem to go the extra mile in accommodating passenger requests and requirements whenever called upon to do so. We have no hesitation in strongly recommending them.

Last week, I was travelling in Kenya with my family consisting of 6 of us and we had occasion to charter Tropic Air's Cessna mini Caravan to fly from Nairobi to Nanyuki and back. Both the flights were enjoyable, comfortable and very reasonably priced. The crew were courteous and welcoming. I intend using Tropic Air again during my next trip to East Africa next summer. A highly recommended outfit.

When I am in Kenya, and when I have clients requiring charter flights on their safari, I always use Tropic Air. I had an excellent charter from the Mara to Solio with a group of 12 last year - the pilots were excellent, the plane in tip-top shape and they flew over some beautiful scenery for us. My clients (and my family) were very happy. In June, four of us flew from Samburu to a remote airstrip in the Northern Frontier District as the gateway to our 6-day trek through the Ndoto Mountains. Our pilot, Will Dyer, was excellent, engaging and gave us the best air experience I've had in Africa. Hands-down the most memorable flight of my life. Thanks to the team at Tropic, Liz, Ruth and the office staff are excellent, as well.
