Not really my kind of place. Is very noisy. Very difficult to carry on a conversation with anyone unless they are sitting right beside you. You have to order your own food. They don't offer much on the menu. The things on the menu are very overpriced. I ordered the noodle dish and there was only 6 or 8 noodles in it. $11.00 for 6 or 8 noodles. I believe it's more of a drinking establishment as they offer many different beers. This was my 2nd time there. There are many other places to dine in Hershey that would be much better and much quieter.

Best brewery in PA hands down. They have a unique take on almost every beer style and continue to reinvent themselves through the scratch series (and other projects). Their IPAs are amazing and the kitchen keeps the menu fresh with seasonal dishes.

This place is an absolute must if you are a beer lover visiting central PA.

My husband and I are visiting from KC Missouri and heard great things about Troegs. This was beyond what we expected. Our tour guide Tim did a fabulous job explaining the process from start to finish. From sourcing the grains to tapping the barrels. The food was wonderful especially the hop fries and grilled cheese and tomato soup. We would highly recommend this place and will be back soon.

I came in for my first time today and the lady at the bar let me try 3 beers to find out what I liked since I typically don't like hops, but she was super friendly, patient, and educational. I really appreciated her kindness after a rough day!!! Thank you!

This trip exceeded expectations from the amazing selection of beer to the hidden gems found in the gift shop.

One of the neatest breweries I've been to, and I've been to quite a few! The setup is HUGE - there is probably room for 250 people in the bar / dining area. It is a seat-yourself kind of place, and children are welcome (we saw a ton running around and playing!) There are servers walking around to tables, but the best bet is going up and waiting in line for the bar on a busy day. They have so many options, there is a beer for everyone! The food scene is different than anywhere I've been, it's like having an indoor food truck or a school cafeteria in the brewery. You go up[ to the food stand, wait in line and then order your food, which is eventually delivered on a tray! This is a really neat place; if you're into craft beer at all you've got to stop in.

Best $5.00 I ever spent.

Best $5.00 I ever spent.
Some of the best beer ever.
One of the best tours of a brewery I ever had.Our guides name is Vernon. He is a retired teacher . The tour started with a sample of beer. We moved on to view barley, hops, yeast, and water containers. Vernon explained the different processes from the beginning to the final process of the brewing of beer.Time for another sample, very good.
Vernon explains the process of how the beer container, which are made of stainless steel and some of wood are made. Vernon was very knowledgeable and professional. The tour took about one hour. At the end of the tour it ends at the gift and souvenir shop. You get two more free samples of beer. There are many types of home brew for sale.
There is a restaurant and a tavern area with lots of good food and many selections of home brew.
I suggest the First Cut Mango IPA
Plenty of parking. Call ahead, weekends can get packed
Must be 21 for the tour.

The food and beer are great here, however the environment is very disappointing. I can never seem to enjoy one drink without screaming kids running around me everywhere. There needs to be something done about the number of children who are allowed at this drinking establishment.

Great brewery to stop by when you are in Hershey. The giant pretzel was great. The beer is outstanding and we received great service in the tap room. The guided tour was very informative and worth scheduling.

I'm finally doing it, after coming here ~20 times I'm finally leaving my review. And it's not a good one.

Each visit I try a different beer, many times a "scratch" beer, and each time I am somewhat disappointed with it. My beer pallet is very broad and I enjoy pretty much every type of brew. Though this is true, I have never had a beer at Troegs that wow'd me. Many of them have disappointed me. I hesitate to use the word "overrated" to describe anything, but I think with all of the tourism, fanfare, bourgie food, and the high prices, I am accurately describing Troegs by calling it overrated. The year round beer on tap seems to cost the same, if not a dollar more, than I could get it for at a local bar.

I have posted a picture of their carrot hummus dish as an example. For $12 you get unpeeled carrots (does this make people think they are fresher or something?), zucchini, large chunks of tomatoes, and bread. The hummus comes in an iron skillet. Everything about this overpriced and subpar tasting dish screams "we're trying wayyyy too hard to look cool".

And that sums up my 2 years of coming to Troegs... They have continuously attempted to "look" cooler and more trendy while driving up their prices. Unfortunately they have also seemed to stray from what made them popular in the beginning.

August 2020. We wanted to try this Brewery and stopped here for lunch after visiting Hershey Park Gardens. COVID seating was in effect, but we got a table outside and were seated quickly. Service was fast and friendly and we loved the Thai inspired lettuce rolls (Larb). Their beer was very good, and we rated the "When in Doubt" lager a strong 4 on untapped and the Scratch 421 IPA a 3.75.

Was just locked in the parking lot for 20 plus minutes and couldn't even back up out of the car line to get out and go somewhere else. Only my second time visiting, never will attempt that again. If you pull into there parking lot beware.

The tour was fantastic! Our guide (Tim I think. He had a glorious beard) was awesome! He was a lot of fun while he gave us the tour. The tasting and glass was really nice too! The self guided area was really nice. And the food was delicious! The food is a little pricey but well worth it. Its a nice trip, plan to spend some time to just enjoy. Try the scratch beers! All of them! You can only get them at the brewery and they are all so creative and tasty! And besides the brewery itself, thr hoodies with the beer cozie and bottle opener were so cool!

From seasonal beer and food you will not be disappointed. From the minute you walk into the brewery you get hit with the aroma of hops and food. The gift shop has just about everything, you'll fall in love. Plenty of seating but get there early, this place fills up fast!!!! The tours are amazing! We paid $5 and got an engraved glass plus taste tested about 3 beers. You must visit this place!!!!!!!!!!!!

Varied beer selection, different new ones every time we visit. Food selection is unique and different from most restaurants. Sometimes the line to order food is long, then you still have the wait for the food to be prepared. You have to pick it up but the servers will get the beer for you.

Delicious food, fast service, and very clean. This was the first time eating inside since Covid and was highly impressed. Servers wore masks, booths and tables were appropriately distanced, and it felt like all of the necessary precautions were taken. They had a good variety of bar food that they put their own spin on. Beer was delicious and they had a huge list on tap. Would return to PA for Troegs!

Just moved to the area. Love Troegs. I love that it is brewed local. My favorite is the Teoegenator. Give it a try! Don t mind the ugly fireplace in the background. I m planning on refinishing it.

Troegs was a lot of fun, and everything was pretty good. I'm told that the brisket in particular was excellent.

However, I had the banh mi. This resulted in me having food poisoning, and I'm never going back.

Without food poisoning, I'd give this a 4/5 - tastes good, interesting menu, not overly absurdly expensive. With food poisoning - 1/5.

Checked in at 5:40 still waiting as 21st in line and over 2 hours later after being told only going to be a 40 min wait. Will probably never try this place again or even this time since they close in 1.25 hours.

This is the ONLY brewery I will drive hours to, stay for lunch and beer, then drive home. It's a DESTINATION, not a stop on the way, and it's proximity to Hersheypark (awesome!) makes it even better.

The taproom is one of my favorites - the size of a gymnasium with tanks lining the walls. Even on a crowded day - summer afternoons or before concerts - there is always a place to sit! Always a dozen or more beers on tap and usually some "scratch" (small batch) brews that are different each time. The cafe has frequently-changing, locally-sourced sandwiches and snacks. I've yet to order something I didn't scarf down happily.

I wish I could give the Splinter Tour 6 STARS! A small (12 person) walk through the barrel-aging process, featuring vertical tasting opportunities and food/beer pairings. Totally worth the price!

During the whole stay at home time, we were able to order not only beverages but also FOOD.. oh, and as is usual, the food was superb.. We got the ever adored rosemary popcorn and the Bratwurst. . Oh, those hit the spot. Not to mention the Scratch 407 ... We felt like we were back in Germany. Thank you for adjusting so we can still enjoy your products while chilling at home...

This is one of my favorite breweries and not just because they are local., being local is just icing on the cake. They have a large selection of beers that they carry throughout the year that are truly amazing as well as several seasonal beers such as Mad Elf. The brewery also does special release days such as the troegnator bourbon barrel release which is an amazing beer that I wish they would carry in their line up year round.

Besides the beer, they have an amazing menu of food choices which are extremely delicious and well priced. For the most part the staff is very friendly and helpful. This brings me to the reason of 4 stars vs 5 stars.

On a visit a few months back while my wife was pregnant all she wanted was their amazing rosemary popcorn. The popcorn takes to seconds to put together and in the past they would give you it right away. Well they made her wait and after 15 minutes of waiting for them to scoop popcorn from the pile of popcorn already popped to put into the basket she had enough. You dont keep a pregnant woman waiting! The chef got a attitude with me for telling them that and asking for it right then and there. Since that day we have not had any other issues in our trips to the brewery and she wont let that one bad day ruin her time there

Had to check this popular brewery out while in Hershey. However, wasn't that impressed. The food was good, but didn't live up what I was expecting. There are a lot less big name breweries, but if you've never been check it out. The tours sell out fast so book ahead of time if interested.
