The grilled cheese is better than sex. Also love the fact that they let you snack on malted barley during the tour and you get a free pint glass and complimentary beer before the tour. The food and beer here is amazing but GET THERE EARLY. The place fills up fast.

The tasting Tour is a must! You get to exclusive beer! There is a self-guided Tour too. They have a great open space dining area with plenty tables or sit outside. The menu includes gluten free and vegetarian. A great place to come with friends even family. The employees are great and super friendly. If that was not enough you can get some souvenirs and beer (scratch beer!)at the attached store.

Every single staff member was wearing their mask correctly. I ve been in medical offices that were not as careful as the staff at Troegs. Thank you!

They were also helpful with our son s peanut allergy. I wish there were more kids food options (simple grilled chicken or a burger?) but we all found something we liked. The food was delicious and unique, and the beer is on point.

We were so excited to go to Troegs. We live about 1 hr away and when in town we always make sure we stop in. Very popular place. We were the first customer to order on a Sunday morning. We ordered french toast, pretzel, hot dog, grilled cheese, lamb, and brisket. Spent $70 and not one single item was hot or warm. I was extremely disappointed with the temperature of the food. Also, it was a bit odd that some of the meals were so different in sizes. The lamb was 1/3 of the size as the french toast. Anyhow, my husband hates for me to make any complaints so I did not say anything in person. But I do think the restaurant should know. Not sure if they need more staffing to keep up with the crowd or just better heating methods.

The beer selection is probably worth a 5... service however is more of a 1. When we sat, asked for waters to start as we looked at the menu....they don't serve that, you have to go get your own. Food you also have to go order and get from the snack bar. This wouldn't have been horrible had it been explained. It was my first time there. The table ordered beer, this process seemed to be a bother to the waiter who was less than welcoming. I ordered one a bit later (first person I flagged down said he wasn't a bartender and kept walking). After ordering I watched the waiter come out with it on his tray, take several other orders, pick it up a few times, then go back inside with it where a member of my party went and got it for me...we're talking 10ish minutes of walking around with my beer, not just a brief time. When we went to get the food, we were given spicy ketchup when we ordered kids meal hotdogs for kids with us....that went over well and we had to replace those. Overall I'm very disappointed because this place came highly recommended.

Terrific experience! Staff is friendly, pours are generous. Get the rosemary butter popcorn and the beer tasting flight. Seats and tables fill up quickly and Saturdays are busy. Worth the trip!

Top notch brewery! My boyfriend and I took a weekend trip out to hershey for his bday and Troegs was definitely the main attraction. It s huge, everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable and nice! We love breweries and this is has surpassed all others. We tried all the scratch beers and then some and we loved all of them. The food is amazing too! The tour was only $10 and it was such a good deal. Extremely popular place we can tell! Will definitely be back :)

I have been drinking Troegs beer in other bars for awhile so I figured I should go to the source. The facility is clean and trendy. Plenty of parking and easy to find. I really like the food and the beer is great. The only reason I don t give top marks is due to the unconventional set up. Seating is a free for all and ordering food is a separate event. A customer needs to walk over the the food area, stand in line, order, then come back themselves to get the food they ordered. The staff, who were very polite and professional, do not deliver food, only drinks. Odd, but I guess it works for them. Cool that they have tours and have a shop. Worth a shop if you are in the Hershey area. Just be careful with GPS. It sometimes messes up and leads you to the State Police Academy... they don t serve beer on top of that hill...

Unfortunately changing my rating from 5* (review below) to 2*. The beer remains 5*, but the store gets 0* for service. Went in today for a sampler, and bought 2 cases and a 6-pack at the store. The 6-pack rang up at the wrong price, so I went back to let them know that their sign and the scanner didn't match. The manager Julie was rude and dismissive. Instead of apologizing or thanking me for taking the time to help, she said, "You can have 0.50 from the register" and walked away. I made clear upon first going back in that my intention was to be helpful, and instead the store clerks were completely disrespectful. I try to support local businesses, but after buying a dozen cases per year at the store, we'll be taking our business elsewhere.

=====================================
Truly phenomenal beers. There's always a range of year-round options as well as some experimental "scratch beers" and something seasonal. Of the seasonal options, my favorites are Nugget Nectar and Mad Elf. Tap prices are super reasonable ($5-6 for a serving) but even better is to get a sampler. There's a pre-set option of usually 4x 4.5 oz pours for $6, or you can pick 3 for $6. Growler pricing is reasonable at $10-$15. Food is solid, enjoyed the hops fries, but in previous visits it hasn't been exceptional. I believe the outdoor area was recently added, and it looks like a great place to spend a few hours.

Usually I would give Troegs a 5 star rating. We love their beer and will continue to purchase it. However, the scene at the brewery has evolved into a madhouse. No seats, long lines, rude patrons. It's great that success has given you the ability to be that busy that you don't have to worry about regular customers coming back, and the loft looks super nice. Unfortunately some of your clientele has turned us off from coming back. Pushing, shouting, being rude and line cutting isn't classy. And having your staff just look away is shameful. Hope this was a fluke, but we won't hurry back.

So, the beer is amazing. But let's just say that the food is... hilarious. And you have to buy their comical food to drink their beer. Service is "this is my first job and I'm too cool for you" level.

The food was gross, gross, gross. Pass, every time.

Besy Beer, Gift Shop, and beer food that I've ever had at a brewery. (And there are a lot of breweries near where I live). They have a large area for drinking beer & eating. Everyone is very friendly and we drive 4 hours up from Charlottesville, VA every chance we get! If you are driving by, like beer, and don't stop you really don't like beer. Their regular beers are great and their scratch beers are almost even better. Easy in & off of I-81. STOP BY!!!!!!!!

I've visited on three separate occassions. Was hoping to write a glowing review for the place, given the delectation of my first time at this location, but I also generally like to break a place in a bit before I allow any of my opinions to solidify. My most recent third and final visit was thanks to the way we were asked to leave at the end of the evening. Our waiter, Darren, was affable and attentive and deserves to be recognized as such. We knew it was closing time, as we were given a fifteen minute heads up by Darren. We started finishing our drinks...fifteen minutes later, a leprechaun (we didnt catch his name) appears at our table and, magically delivers one of the sorriest excuses for a polite dismissal I've ever experienced. It's all about presentation. He suddenly appears and slices into the conversation I was having with my company with a very poorly conveyed, "We're closed... and you need to leave." Way to forget your Grace's with an attempt to impose guilt on your remaining patrons for somehow holding you hostage at your job. We wouldve appreciated a simple, excuse me, we are closed now...Have a good night. Tactful and polite. Which is what one expects when patronizing an establishment that deals with the public. We wont be back. And we recommend charm school for Darren's associate.

We go out of our way to stop here when we're traveling thru the area. The beer is phenomenal... They seem to have just as much passion for making food as they do for making beer. It's really different and all made from scratch. Every time we come the menus changed and I've never had anything that wasn't absolutely delicious!

To be fair I went on a Saturday at 4:30. The place was packed. They tell you to walk around and find a seat. So after walking around hunting for a seat and finding 1, my husband had to stand we waited and no one ever helped us. We were told a bartender would help us no one ever came. Service was terrible. We left without ever getting a beer. So if u like waiting around, horrible service and sub par beer go for it.

I am super disappointed with what this place has become. It is now amusement park style where you line up for beer and separately line up for terrible processed fried food. Ingenuity in their menu is gone and you get, i guess, what they consider up and coming foodie food.

on another note, one of the worst services i have gotten in my life... They just seem to forget about you, possibly because of the layout. Maybe because their atmosphere seems more like a fast food joint.

If the beer wasn't good i would never go here. I think i should just stick with getting their beer at my local stores.

Very good beer selection. Good selection of pub/bar food, with a different variety than a lot of places. Staff was friendly and helpful. Self paced and guided tours. Nice gift shop. One of the better breweries I have visited.

Amazing beer. Bad food service. If you want any food here, you have to leave your seat and wait in a line at a "snack bar" which is a separate part of the brewery. Can't order any food from the bar or tables even. Not sure why they still have waiters...?! YOU CANT EVEN ORDER WATER AT THE BAR! Good thing the beer is amazing, otherwise this would be a two or one start review.

The space is beautiful! Staff seems to be enjoying their jobs. The beers and food are delicious. Be warned that they do tend to run out of things, and there can be a line. The lines do move quickly and it's worth the wait!

Took the $5 guided tour and was pleasantly surprised. Tour was awesome... tasted the malt, tried several different beers, and got a free pint glass at the end. Restaurant was excellent as well. I was amazed at the quality of food. Prices were reasonable and all the staff were great.

We have eaten here twice just the two of us. The food is good.

The pizza in the loft is spot on. The crust is crispy and the flavors are well matched. The loft offered a quieter seating area than inside downstairs. The charcuterie and local cheeses are paired with the perfect honey, mustard, and jam. The service was fine, but not spectacular.

The $10 tour was worth the price of admission. The tour guide Alex was knowledgeable and the length was just about perfect. The tour starts and ends with beer, with a green beer tasting right in the middle.

The tour over here is my best 10$ spent on Beer. With 10$ I got the guided tour and 2 glasses of beer and a freshly brewed beer tasting as well. Lot of crowd and wide variety of options for food which tastes great as well.
The whole place is lit with happiness and life!! Definitely worth the visit!!

Clean place, lots of parking, friendly staff, so-so food, lots and lots of beer choices.

I cannot complain about the visit to this place, it is exactly what it claims to be, a brewery that also has bar food. Everything else is good about this place and it is in a nice location.

The boys (as in the husbands)loved the flight selection and dug that they could be in a brewery and have the kids and wives with them for dinner. It's a cool spot, beers are great, food options stellar but everyone felt the taste was ok. Worth visiting and just ask questions to figure out the ordering system. cheers!

Huge Brewery - parking lot was packed but still plenty of space for everyone. Massive inside space with 2 greaters when you walk in the door for a quick orientation. Live music outside, someone smoking some meet in a built in smoker, plenty of communal tables & quick wait staff (and delicious food!). Huge beer selection. Very friendly atmosphere.

Such a nice setup with lots of space inside and out. Was worried it was going to be packed inside with an almost full parking lot and there was plenty of seating. Tours cost $10, which includes 3 beers and a Troegs glass, takes about 45 minutes. There s also a self guided tour outside the gift shop. Beer was good, atmosphere was nice and I hear the food is good as well.

This has quickly become one of my favorite brewery experiences. The layout is very modern and the way that they have people order food is very different (it's cafeteria style versus a traditional, sit-down style).

The food is very good and the beer (especially the limited scratch series) is quite good as well. Also, if you do stop by, definitely take a walk through the self-guided brewery tour; we haven't been through the guided one yet, we'll probably try it the next time we go!

Definitely worth visiting if you are in Hershey or passing by on the interstate. Beer is solid and food is absolutely amazing. Order a beer at the bar then head to the "snack bar" and order some food. The food is definitely more than snacks. I've been to a ton of breweries and believe me when it comes to food this is definitely in the top 5. Even without the beer it would be worth a trip. Great beer selection with year round staples and rotating seasonals and one-offs.

Best attraction in Hershey! And not just for the great beers. Take the tour! It is so worth it...informative, interesting, and beer. Did I say beer? Troegs has some really fantastic beer on tap...or buy a bottle...or a six pack to go. Or simply hang out in the brewery tasting all they have to offer. And go often! Always something new to try.

About Troegs Brewing Co

Troegs Brewing Co: A Brewery for the Adventurous and Curious

Founded in central Pennsylvania in 1996, Troegs Brewing Co has become a household name among beer enthusiasts. The brewery is currently located in Hershey, PA, and is known for its unique approach to brewing that combines tradition with innovation. Troegs has created some of the most sought-after beers in America, including Perpetual IPA, Nugget Nectar, Mad Elf and Troegenator.

At Troegs Brewing Co., they believe that beer should be an adventure. They are constantly experimenting with new ingredients and techniques to create unique flavors that push the boundaries of traditional brewing. Their beers are made using only the finest ingredients sourced from around the world.

One of their most popular beers is Perpetual IPA. This beer is a hop lover's dream come true with its bold citrusy flavor and aroma. It's brewed using a blend of hops from around the world to create a complex flavor profile that will leave you wanting more.

Another fan favorite is Nugget Nectar. This beer is brewed using whole flower Nugget hops which give it a distinct piney flavor and aroma. It's also dry-hopped with Simcoe and Palisade hops which add notes of grapefruit and apricot to this already delicious brew.

If you're looking for something on the sweeter side, then Mad Elf might be just what you need. This Belgian-style ale is brewed with cherries, honey, and chocolate malts which give it a rich fruity flavor that's perfect for sipping on during those cold winter nights.

And let's not forget about Troegenator! This double bock beer has been brewed by Tröegs since 2002 and has become one of their most popular offerings over time due to its rich caramel maltiness balanced by noble German hops.

But it’s not just about great tasting beer at Tröegs; they also have an amazing restaurant on site where visitors can enjoy homemade breads made fresh daily as well as locally sourced ingredients used in dishes like burgers or salads served up alongside your favorite brew!

The brewery restaurant features an on-site butchery where they prepare meats like pork belly or brisket smoked low-and-slow over hickory wood chips until tender perfection achieved before being served up alongside other delicious sides such as mac & cheese or coleslaw – all made from scratch!

In conclusion, if you're looking for a brewery experience unlike any other then look no further than Tröegs Brewing Co! With their adventurous spirit combined with traditional brewing techniques plus locally sourced ingredients used throughout both food & drink menus alike - there really isn't anything quite like this place anywhere else!
