My first experience with them was not that great! Used there choice program and gave them the information of the place i wanted to use and got some other place. Called to ask them how that happen and i was told there was no preference information noted. So make sure you're getting the name of the individual you speak with so they can reference the mistake or your position will not be taken seriously.

Mental/Behavioral health scheduling is not really on point. They dropped the ball with my consult, took them 4 weeks for anybody to even reach out to me. I was left confused and in the dark week after week even after reaching out. I finally have an appointment with a community provider 6 weeks after my consult was received by an appointer. Way to go Triwest.

Working for TriWest. While the job at hand is no doubt enjoyable, I get to personally help out veterans and I feel great about it. I love talking to them and hearing all the stories. I can appoint up to 20 veterans a day, no overtime needed. The company on the other hand. Well the company on the other hand is racist. There s no denial about it, I can show you proof. The first two months were fine but I guess the wrong people saw an east coast black kid on the premises and I began getting harassed. Not about anything to do with my work at hand need I offer. I was/ am being harassed for wearing a hoodie no biggie until you realize that s its blatantly only happening to you?!? I ve photographed individuals in the building on the floor in direct violation of dress code, beanies, baseball caps, etc. However, my hoodie is questionable. Literally, they had to get a second opinion from HR, after I had been wearing a hood for 2 months, faithfully. Worst part, when I voiced my concerns about being targeted, equally enforcing regulations and guidelines with everyone and why this energy wasn t used for the production of the company? which is barely %50. I GOT SENT HOME UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. I have questions, I m hurt. The EEOC says because no racial terms were used workplace bullying is not covered federally. We all know what is happening here. I guess the mission really isn t to serve those who make extraordinary sacrifices for our freedom or support the military and Veterans' health care system in meeting their medical and customer service needs. Maybe on Fridays when everyone gets to go home or it s pay day. I can assure you, that ain t the culture there. It s like any other call center, just with older people. Just drama. I m appalled. I will leave another review when this matter is resolved.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I have been waiting 2 weeks for an appointment and was told to wait another week and "maybe" a scheduler will call me. I guess they have never been in pain.

It seems that those with positive remarks are those who have found a cushy government-contract job - at the expense of veterans needing access to care... #JustAnotherSacrifice

If taxpayers only knew the truth... It's time these so-called thought leaders asked someone who has had to rely on this fractured system that only serves the civilians who land the job... #AskARealVeteran!

I've had an extensive career in healthcare, and I know what quality care and access to care are supposed to look like. This is NOT it - but neither is the VA Healthcare System.

Sadly, the long arm of TriWest Healthcare Alliance's ("TWHA") accomplishments repeatedly fails to reach this veteran in the great state of Texas. I have no voice - and thus, no CHOICE in this program (or with the VA Healthcare for that matter). So where does that leave me? Frustrated and still waiting for something that resembles health "care".
Moreover, TWHA wants me (and any other willing veteran) to check their privacy rights, sensitivities and dignity at the "verification" door - and with EVERY SINGLE CALL (even with transferred calls)!!

What a pain!! Yet once again, TWHA has sent snail mail where I've repeatedly asked them NOT to; and once again, TWHA has purposely entangled and worn me down with their litany of questions - even before I could get to the reason for my call. Today, I strained my voice to convey to you that I had "lost" my voice, but you persisted with your #ScriptedSpiel. I had already provided you with name, DOB, mailing address, physical address - yet you kept pushing... HOW MANY POINTS OF IDENTIFICATION DO YOU REQUIRE TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO CARE?!!!!. Where is your compassion? Where is your #EQ?

Not a company that gives a rat ass about ur well being. They rather you to be at work sick and in pain. I was here 3 years and I regret every day I spent in that office. Its a very stressful job.

Tri-West has always been very fair and prompt with expediting my requests for appointments at usually speed. Most bottle necks come from the VA or overbooked private doctors. They are much more courteous and usually grant me what is necessary for my special needs and requests my health care. I have a complicated list of problems with Squamous Cell Carcinoma. I ve also had them follow me from state to state Arizona, Texas and Montana without problems. Tri-West also corrects and completes any financial errors from the many companies who don t have have a clue in the billing procedures. I d give them a 5 star rating as they are associated with the VA System who seldom get any of this correct, nor an accurate diagnosis missing my cancer for at least a year until I was into the last Stage 4a.

VA supposedly place an order to them for a referral to see a Chiropractor. I called and they said it wasn't in their system. I was like....ok. I gave up cause the pain in my back was just too much to deal with already since I had to go thru VA procedure of getting Xray and so forth which took like 2-3 weeks already. A month later which was yesterday, Triwest called me to make an appointment. I was like really? A month later you call? Finally got the order into your system? What is with this way below mediocre service/system? Then they asked me a bunch of redundant questions. Are you calling me to schedule an appointment or go thru a repetition survey of questions. They then told me the earliest they can get me in is 7-10 business days. Seriously? Vets will be dropping like flies by the time they even get set foot on your property grounds. I wouldn't doubt that they would have to fill bunch of paperworks and the other nonsense before even getting treated!

I need to have liver surgery due to me having stage 4 cancer and these jackalobs made me an appointment with a weight loss Doctor! When I question why they were sending me to a weight loss Dr and not a liver specialist they said they will cancel the appointment and it up to me to find the dr!

I called TriWest regarding a referral from my VA provider. The VA had documented that they notified TriWest and verified the date TriWest indicated they received it. When I spoke to TriWest they claimed they had no documentation of the referral. I again contacted the VA who stated that TriWest indicated they did in fact receive the referral and couldn't understand why TriWest didn't have it documented when they, TriWest, notified the VA that they did. Will never request a referral to them again. Very poor customer service and very poor job assisting Veteran's with health care options.

I have had the displeasure of trying of deal with Tri West, in trying to make a doctors appointment. Clearly, Tri West is not educating their staff to any kind of standard needed to assist and help Veterans.
Reading these reviews tho it seems their staff has a really good time at the work. Makes you wonder what Tri West priorities really are?
I have waited 3 weeks for an appointment and it is still not clear to me what Tri West is doing. The scheduler made an appointment 45 minutes away from where I live. I have tried to call and speak to a representative to fix this. Every one I speak with at Tri West gives me a different answer.
I have empathy for everyone here that has written.

I worked for the CHOICE team @ the knight building under supervisor Lillian Ingram for three months. There was a lot of favoritism at this place and a lot of cliques. The trainers who were under Lillian did whatever they wanted pretty much and walked around like they owned the place. My trainer was Anita, she was super nice and was helpful if I had any questions. Stephanie Rasta also helped train me And she was helpful but she also had favorites. Lillian had a piss poor attitude and had an issue if anyone would ask her the protocol for certain situations or help with anything. Unfortunately i had to go to HR to file a formal complaint about the uncomfortable work environment. The only thing I liked about this company is the work

We started using this place through the VA , my uncle has Parkinsons and its hard to travel long distances and set in the VA clinics all day so we asked for local doctors and we ended up here and I must say the difference is night and day , the VA is so full they run you through like cattle but at this place you get plenty of 1 on 1

ONE MONTH later we are STILL WAITING for these yoyos to schedule an MRI for my husband. We live in rural Idaho and this incompetent group has to approve services 2 miles away from us instead of driving 65 miles to SLC. My husband could schedule all by his adult self in less than 5 min. He is in aggrevated 24 hour acute pain! All he gets with phone calls to these non helpful people is "tomorrow". This is a tax payer funded rip off for an unnecessary non-service with no respect for vets or their families. How the hell difficult is it to grant permission for an MRI? Our Congressman is next.

Operators keep you on phone too long asking you time and day preferences and when you are available and then keep repeating same questions bla bla bla. I don t have all day to spend on the phone. It sounds robotic like a script. Things get screwed up easily and I end up having to fix it all the time.
Takes forever for them to answer. Same as Veterans administration or any other government entity.

I have had several dealings with TriWest in Pheonix since they are the VA provider for the Western Division. Every person I've ever had contact with has been courteous, helpful and very friendly. They have always handled my problem quickly and professionally. I can't believe some of the bad reviews here. And they've always thanked me for my seervice. They go waaay more than most. Thank you TriWest---keep up the good work. Tiffany and Oscar were my helpful people today. Thanks, Darryl 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Vietnam 1966-67.

Because they Don want to help veterans because my experience with them has been thatthey seem to realize that it's better for their bottom line to stall out care and hope that the vetera diesinstead of getting expensive treatments in a timely manner and in my case they have repeatedly stalled out on giving approvals in a timely fashion and have only moved fast when my congressman has become involved

The old Choice Program was better than this new program that has recently been implemented. Was sent to the Choice Program if I had to wait more than 30 day wait with VA and now I'm told that the new program doesn't have to respond for 28 days. than after they respond, hopefully you can see a doctor in a reasonable amount of time. But I always get a thank you for my service. How about giving the Vets some service. I'm a Vietnam POW.

To this day I have only had one person ever really try and figure out a solution to a problem. That one person seemed very genuine and compassionate. The other 20 people or more I have ever talked to have been dismissive, rude, uncaring, and it seems that they really don't want to be dealing with you or their job. I firmly believe you choose where you work. If you don't want to be there or don't like your job, try something else! If the calls are really recorded for training purposes I feel like it should be a better experience.

This program is supposed to be designed to help veterans, but from my experiences, it is not effective and is not assisting Veterans to the fullest. There seems to be a breakdown between the collaboration between the Primary Care Doctor, the Health Net Federal Services, and the Community Provider. This breakdown prevents Veterans from receiving their authorization for care promptly. For example, receiving notification from the community provider a couple of days before your surgery, that they have not received authorization; or after a total knee replacement, the community provider has not received authorization for your physical therapy. Although, the community provider has submitted their request months in advance. There has also been an instance where I was notified by the Choice Program that I was approved to visit a community provided, but when I went to visit them, they were not aware of any appointment. The Choice program never did call me back concerning the issue. I just wish VA will do what they say they will do, which is to help Veterans and act like they truly care about Veterans care.

Worse experience I have EVER had!! They will schedule you for multiple appointments at multiple places and it's the exact same procedure. They will not call back with info on the appointment and leaves you in the dark.
Also looking at the reviews, the only people giving good reviews is people who work there. LOL GO FIGURE.

They called me twice and made me hold--said it would be one minute--waited 10 minuets both times and hung up.. WHY dont't the brains(used loosely)of this outfit have their people call when THEY have time instead of making us hold for them. It would be just as fast.
