6/18/20 According to their voice menu, the entire property is completely closed through at least June 30th because of covid-19. The recording even mentions if you access the trails or enter the property in any way, you could be charged with criminal trespass.

Nice place for a walk through nature, lots of different paths to hike, trails are well maintained and staff is helpful. There's a small collection of indoor exhibits as well, but unfortunately the two largest interactive exhibits were both out of order. Kind of disappointing considering this place is only a few years old.

Our family used a meeting room for a reunion, and the venue was perfect for all ages. Although it feels very secluded and remote, it is quite close to Loop 12 and highway175. It's a perfect place for hiking and enjoying nature. The employees are friendly and seem to really enjoy their jobs. Great for all ages.

This is a beautiful place to visit nature and get away, but not too far away from the city hustle and bustle. I visited for a yoga event. We went on a nature hike surrounded by so much beauty! I'll be visiting again.

I sat on the panel for the Exxon Mobil Green team when this facility first opened, we discussed the impact that this place would make, and it has delivered! In more ways than one, I loved the bike trails, the view, it is truly a gem in the southern sector. They have bike rentals at the start of the trail, deer running, hiking trails, blue heron and red owls flying. Just absolutely beautiful.

You can walk on raised structures or hike along the Trinity River at this beautiful retreat. The trails were clearly marked and well maintained and although we were warned about the possibility of snakes, we didn't see any although we saw and heard lots of birds. Best to get there early or in the afternoon because it was hot on the June afternoon we visited. I would also bring some insect spray since the many water areas attracted mosquitoes. Parking was free but there was an admission charge.
We decided to return during the winter and it was easier to see some of the birds because the trees had lost their leaves. Water levels were way lower and no flowering plants. Maybe the next trip shall be in spring.

This is a beautiful facility with an amazing, passionate, and dedicated staff, situated in a beautiful natural landscape. In addition to trails, bird-watching and other naturalist pursuits, they also host a fair amount of programming here.

Great place to relax and observe nature. They have a lot of walking trails, and they're pretty easy. I had a 2-year-old with me and she kept up easily. The staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We had a great time. My only complaint is the way they do booking for groups. We didn't require any staff to lead us on the trails or teach a class or anything, yet we had to book well in advance, and they made us pay for members who ended up sick the day of and couldn't come.

The Audubon Center is a hidden gem. It's housed in the best and most beautiful example of sustainable architecture in the entire metroplex, to boot, and inspires hope in Dallas' future. A must visit for any Dallas resident or any visiting nature lover.

The nature preserve is very nice. But nothing special. The entry fee is $6 per person and they don t even have an open area for a sit down picnic on the river.
The closest spot was still so far from the body of water that you can barely see anything.
The building itself is definitely a work of art and seemed like a lovely venue for a wedding.
However, we will not be coming back as the entry fee in so expensive for a family of 4 that it s not even worth the trouble.
We can have a picnic somewhere else

I went there for a school field trip and was actually looking forward to it. But, our guide didn t know anything. Lightning either strikes at the top or the bottom of the tree. We spent most of the time staring at plants in literal hula hoops. And on top of that they re harboring invasive species: European Honeybees and Brachiaria Mutica. Overall, I had a terrible experience, would not recommend.

I'm sure as a hiking trail it's beautiful. As a potential wedding venue, I would say be wary. I have reached out via email and phone, and not one response or returned phone call for the past week. Not sure how you even consider this place as an option with ZERO communication.

We had our wedding reception here in April and everyone raved about how beautiful the location was! I'm so glad we chose the TRAC. We have been here several times before the wedding to just plan everything out and the staff was so helpful and understanding.

Great place for bird watching. Also saw some Gar fish in the river. Trails are laid out well. Good information in the visitor's center. Plenty of tables are available, but bring your own food. Only snacks available.

My internship of Summer 2013 was the best at TRAC! Not only did I learn an incredible amount about birds and wildlife here (as well as the summer camp kids that I helped teach), I learned about a variety of aspects of what it means to conserve nature in this day and age!

This sanctuary outside of Dallas is the perfect place to spend time outside without having to go to a big State Park, and the staff is out of this world. Who knew this city had such a great place to spend time outdoors!

I recommend this place the most for day hiking and biking, although there are a few camping spots. Enjoy!

Even on a hot day, walking on the trails was great, and inside they had a gift shop with books all of my kids wanted to read. Along with that, they had small exhibits and play areas. It was tons of fun for only 1 dollar a person, I defenitly recommend it for a good outing.

My husband and I were married at the Trinity River Audubon Center last year in April, and the experience was perfect. This place had the beauty and wildness, and eclectic feeling that we wanted, and the staff was enormously helpful. And, it was so affordable!

The day was gorgeous, and our wedding outside on the extended porch was beautiful!!!
Because it was a small wedding, our reception was in the all glass classroom at the peak of the building...gorgeous, too! I am so thankful we found the Audubon Center ,and will be returning to enjoy it for all of it's other beauty for years.

I went with my son on his school field trip as a chaperone. It was a light-rain type of day but the staff still tried to make the best of the situation with a large visiting shool and the weather. Aaysa was our teacher for the trip. She was knowledgeable and very nice with the children. Our school arrived about an hour late due to a tardy bus but we still had a fun time with a short outdoor walk and indoor activities. The staff was nice and helpful. I wish things that were out of our control (rain and bus) would've been different and let us explore more. We will have to visit as a family at a later date because there was much more we didn't get a chance to experience all the great activities and trails.

I cannot believe I had not visited before. Inside the visitor center they were super kind and informative. My sister was in town doing a project for her landscape architecture program at college and the front desk lady talked with her for a while about not only the Audubon center but the community as a whole. Gave her many resources to contact. Outside, the trails were beautiful. So many birds to see and places to explore. They are doing an awesome job at restoring the space. Well done!
