Having just graduated from a three year BA course from Laban, I can say that the school develops artists and helps them grow creatively and physically. Teachers are usually very keen to help and share their knowledge, always building a strong teacher-student relationship. If it was not for the flaws the organisation has with communication, I would say that this is the best place to be. However, that does not affect the studies too much overall. Apart from the courses, they regularly organise shows and sharings of all sort, from studio to theatre performances, of both music and dance, be it current students, alumni or guests. The shows are very well produced and the fees are more than affordable. I recommend it for future students, parents, art critics, headhunters and any other art lover. Music, dance and art installations, all in one place.

Studied there over the last few years but to be honest there isn't anything to special about it. Admittedly the departmental classes were very helpful and the 1to1 tuition is pretty amazing. (if you have the right teacher) Unfortunately, all of the good things are brought down by the severe lack of organisation. Like exams clashing whilst being abroad, emails not being read, not informing everyone of important dates/times of their exams, getting the overall BMus degree result wrong etc.. Regarding the students, most of them set a lowish standard and would rather spend their time getting drunk every other night. However there are the odd few that work exceptionally hard. I'm not saying you shouldn't study here because there are many great things to learn and people to meet. But for every 10 people, there will always be 1 who has to compensate so that the other 9 embark on a memorable journey.

Laban is a truly amazing dance school with regular events open to the public. It is set in a amzazingly designed building and grounds which are well worth a visit in themselves. The dance events are very contemporary. You'll see choreography you've never seen before.

This is an amazing place which offers a range of dance class. I studied there for two years and the experience was incredible. All the teachers are very enthusiastic and knowledgable. On top of that the building is unique and literally piece of art!
