The dishes and drinks more than very disappointing. Ultra sweet and disgusting drinks. the gray dishes lose the taste of food.
Exorbitant prices. no wine has less than 100dollards and the quality is not even there.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner at Thalassa. They decorated the table with Happy birthday Balloon, the food was delicious and they offered several bottles of sweet wine at the end. Service was outstanding, very nice staff, we had dedicated waiters, they took pictures of us with profesional light and they gave to each of us (~20) a bottle of water and oliv oil as a gift. I will for sure go back and I totally recommend this place for any event.

We hosted a Tribeca neighborhood party at Tribeca and Tasso and team did an amazing job. The second floor event space was perfect for our large group. The room was beautiful and very well laid out for a party. The food was great and the service was A+. The team of wait service was attentive and kept the food coming and the bar tenders kept the cocktails flowing. Fantastic place to host a big event, first class.

Oh my gosh, what an amazing restaurant. Delicious food and super sexy too. Dined for the first time recently and had my mind blown. And if you're looking for quality service, this is the place. I recommend the orzo and shrimp and the meatball appetizer!

Outstanding service, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Excellent atmosphere, quiet and elegant. Very good food, specializing in fresh fish, simply prepared. The lamb shank was delicious and perfectly cooked. Artistic presentations, and delicious panna cotta with fresh fruit for dessert. They have a very nice function room in the basement, too. Definitely highly recommended!

A wonderful experience my favorite place in new york city for special Occasions. Good option to escape the crowded and noisy NYC restaurants. Classic, elegant, great fresh fish options, and there is very pleasant live music once a week.

From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special. Steven the maitre d greeted us so kindly, and took our coats an bags. Walked us past their seafood display and introduced us to a wonderful selection of whole fresh fish. We sat down in the beautiful dining room, and our mediteranian adventure began. Two words: Grilled Octopus. The best I ever had. If i was sitting on a beach in Greece overlooking the sea, I find it difficult to believe that it would be any better. The sea scallops in filo dough were also a must try. A MUST. If you love seafood, beautiful ambiance and top of the line service. You will love Thalassa. 6 Stars!

Uhh this place took me by surprise. I thought it was your typical soho/tribeca high price food scene. Reality is the service is spectacular and the food is excellent. Can t say anything bad about it.

My wife hosted my 50th birthday party there on Saturday night for about 80 people from all over the country and everyone had an awesome time! The staff led by Thalassa manager Tasso Zapanti was incredible from the planning process through the changes to the menu, special decorating requests, DJ accommodations up to and including the execution on the evening of the event! Flexible, professional, attentive and accommodating sums them up. The passed hors d'oeurves and dinner entrees (lamb chops, pasta, red snapper, etc.) were super tasty and the bartender and wait staff kept the drinks flowing. I would definitely recommend Thalassa to anyone looking to hold a truly upscale private event in Tribeca delivered by a staff that will make you and your guests feel special!

Typical Seafood fair at a Tribeca location. Expect pretty good customer service with Manhattan prices, plus a little bit more for being in Tribeca. Located not too far from public transportation, but you tend to see a lot of business folk in and out.

The food here was amazing!!! I took my partner, who is Greek, and he loved it. We definitely have plans for going back with friends/family. And the service was perfect! Very helpful and attentive.

I've been at this restaurant several times with my g/f over the last several months. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. And yes, it's a beautiful place. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone in NYC looking for a restaurant in Tribeca.

we went with a large party and they really handled us well. the food, decor and service were all as billed, excellent.they manage to capture a real authentic mediterranean vibe in the midst of the most un-mediterranean neighborhood.

Upscale and quiet Greek restaurant with nice ambiance. Very easy to find street parking after 7pm. They extend their NYC summer restaurant week menu until 9/30/2017 and it's good deal. Food is good and service is very attentive.

This is probably my favorite Greek Restaurant in town. Appetizera are very generous and extremely tasty. Variety of fresh fish and seafood would satisfy any taste. Great service, wine list is exceptional.

Poor kitchen, steaks burned on the outside raw on the inside. Oysters and shrimp served with no cocktail sauce. Waiters running out of the kitchen one plate at a time serving the main course. Total Chaos.

We each ordered the Tasting Menu for $ 39.95 and were not disappointed. A starter, a main course and a dessert with 2 options for each. Each dish was very generous and absolutely delicious! The fish are fresh and tasty. We feasted. All accompanied by an excellent Greek red wine!
The staff are very welcoming and the service is impeccable. They give us little Greek cookies when we leave.
Excellent value.

I highly recommend if you are in Tribeca.

Everything about this place is great: the staff, the space, the ambience, the food, drinks, wine and I CAN NOT forget to mention the amazing fresh fish selections and displayed that my group and I stared at in amaze all night. It was such a great experience to dine here while one of the winemakers I work with was in town. We were impressed and so was he. I would definitely come back here with friends, family or on a date. It's a great space for all options including business dinners.

Hubby and I were given a Pulsd voucher gift that we almost forgot and was about to expire the very same day so we decided to call in and was accommodated in an hour. I also realized that this place wasn't only in my Bookmarks but that I've been wanting to check it as a potential venue for both work and personal event, so was able to hit two birds in one stone last Friday.

Upon entering, I was impressed by the overall design and vibe of the place. Really spacious too, had a second floor space and a wine cellar, on top of the regular space. Hostess was friendly and checked our coats right away then led us to a nice table. Gabriel, who's one of the Supervisors, also introduced himself and attended to us wonderfully throughout the night.

For appetizers, hubby had the fish tacos which he said was delicious! And I had the grilled octopus which was so fresh, tender, and honestly the best that I've had. Perfectly executed! Gave my compliments to the Chef. For the main entree, I had the red snapper fillet and my husband had seabass. Both really satisfying! One thing that really made an impression on me is they have their fresh seafood on display and supposedly flown in from the Mediterranean. How amazing is that?

As for dessert, I wouldn't have given in but since it was included, I couldn't resist even having 2 bites of their Panna Cotta with caramelized pear and berries. My goodness I wanted more but had to restrain myself. Husband had the baklava and got to enjoy the complimentary dessert tray that the Chef sent over. Lucky him!

After I asked to see the upper space and wine cellar, I have already noted this as a potential venue. Not just for clients but for some personal events too. What won me over was not just the space, but more of the warm attentive service and fantastic food! Happy to have met their Executive Chef Ralpheal and was able to compliment him personally on how delicious everything was, especially the octopus! I'd be back just for that!

Overall, such a great dining experience. Thanks for taking such good care of us! I believe we'll be back sooner. Cannot wait! :)

Definitely the most robust fish tacos I've ever enjoyed. #EatFishLiveLonger Had a great time at Thalassa NYC in Tribeca tonight. Great food, great staff. Our host Steve A. was wonderful. Also, Chef Ralpheal. In the ultra competitive restaurant world in NY, they have a 17 year history! & they have won many prestigious awards. #MichelinGuide

In a beautifully decorated restaurant and pleasant ambiance , you'll find an attentive wait staff and some of the freshest Mediterranean-style seafood in the area. Excellent service, whole fish, great company, and a little complementary port after the meal made tonight's dinner quite memorable and satisfying. Prepare to spend some time feasting and making memories. GO.

I parked on a quiet cobblestone street looking for a simple bite to eat.....so I parked in front of Thalassa and peeked inside wondering if this was nice enough. Low and behold I went inside and was greeted with smiles and handshakes. The staff was remarkable. The food was wonderful and fresh. What a nice find for a couple from Westchester. I cant wait to go back and try more of the fresh fish selection.

By far, by far the best food in NYC. Flavorful, fresh, impeccably spiced, somehow both hedonistic and healthy.

My favorite place to bring a group of friends -- one of few NYC restaurants where the music isn't at club level and you can hear each other across the table. Cozy, lots of orchids, sea / island vibe, you feel like you're in Santorini after a day at the beach.

Their octopus salad is by far the best anywhere, and you can't go wrong with any of the fish. They brought us free desert wine and free extra desert. Absolutely impeccable. To make it in NYC for 17 years -- it has to be an incredible place, and it is.

It was my third time to dine at Thalassa. I always enjoy the delicious food, especially seafood. This time I brought my colleagues from work and they had a pleasant dining experience too, including the wine.

Its greek food so alot of it was fish and lamb. I was able to order a filet mignon which is the only non fish or lamb dish they had. The service was great and the drinks were pretty good and not watered down. I personally am not a greek food person but if you are you will love it!

Used to be great, but has slacked off recently. Maybe it's the summer staff and chef, but ... . They were out of the best seafood-- langoustines, whole fish. Bread was under-baked and falling apart. Hummus was tasteless. Salad was still great. Lamb chops were fine. The seafood saganaki lacked the baked feta. Meatballs we're too bready. Overall, a lackluster meal at a pretty steep price. Btw, when we went to tell the manager or owner our opinion, he ushered us out physically and swore at us. I have video and audio of it. Altogether the most universally unpleasant experience. Even our taxi driver thought he was nuts as he chased us to the cab. Unbelievable!

Went for restaurant week dinner menu.

Went for restaurant week dinner menu.

Food:
- Watermelon and fish carpacio - very good
- Black quinoa - okay, sampled, sweet potato was nice touch
- Lamb chops - 4 pieces, on mashed potatoes and green beans; pretty good
- Panna cotta - custard, strawberry, an almond praline, some sort of candied fruit on top and a blackberry

Service:
- Very good; the waiters were very helpful, and really nice about helping us take photos of our party
- We received some almond cookies that they said they baked that morning, on the way out.

Ambiance:
- a very nice restaurant, and very large - 3 floors! They had a cool looking basement which was basically a vine vault.

I came here for dinner on a Friday evening. The restaurant was fairly empty probably because of its location. It's really far west in Tribeca and pretty out of the way. We ordered the fish tacos and the lamb shank. Both dishes were very tasty and fresh. The service was great. They offered us an amuse bouche - one bite crab cake that was delicious. Also, after our meal, we were offered dessert wine. The prices were high but it's NYC so I didn't think it was more than any other restaurant in Tribeca. I would return but it's pretty far out of the way of any subway trains.

INCREDIBLE! Get their sea scallops and you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very elegant. Perfectly situated in Tribeca, it hosts private dining rooms and beautiful lighting that makes you feel like you're dining at a luxurious Grecian villa. Highly recommend! I can't wait to return!
