From A Mother's Perspective...Very Disappointed in this program. My son and I were made so many promises in the orientation and the only one that actually was followed through was done so because I had to call numerous times and finally go to the assistant director. The weekly allowance they tell you about that will get WILL not sustain them. They get $25 every two weeks and that does not cover what someone needs as far as hygiene and entertainment and clothing. They said my Son will have a diploma when he leaves. He does not have that in hand as we were told they only print once a year and WE have to order the transcripts instead. So now when my child applies for a job he has nothing to show while we wait on the transcripts. They said my Son will have a drivers license when he leaves. I had to keep pushing for him to be placed in drivers training and then they told me since he was graduating they will give us the money for him to go take the test. I made them take back the responsibility and follow through and have him complete the course and go take the driving test. Last of all we were promised that he will have a GREAT job upon graduation. Nope my son is leaving with no job. He sits in a classroom applying for jobs online all day. Job Corp did not offer job leads or have any connections to help him get a job in his course of study let alone any area. They did NOTHING to help my son look for a job, just gave him interview tips. BEWARE of the promises they make before you sign up!!! Have them put it in writing because there is NO FOLLOW THROUGH, you will be working harder than the program GUARANTEED!!!!

this place has the worst customer service I think I have ever experienced. I have been hung up on twice and left two voice mails with no response. I just tried for a 3rd time and now the there is no more room in the voicemail.
pathetic excuse for a company that is supposed to be helping people

Our daughter took us to this restaurant and we absolutely loved the young adults, the food was fabulous and loved the whole concept of helping young adults find their way with a career. We will begin exposing many of our friends to this great experience. Thank you job core!

I don't recommended it I went here and they do not help you when you ask for it. Only a select few staff members will take the time out of their day to help get the information you need. Their just push bodies through to make money.

Going to this school all the way from Brooklyn NY ...

Going to this school all the way from Brooklyn NY was a wonderful experience I will never forget. I took up Advance Culinary Arts and got to learn about different foods. The two things I would change is the food in the cafeteria, some days it was good but having chicken and rice almost everyday was not cool and unhealthy. Also the minors was super bad almost like they thought they still was in High school but other than that it was a good school.

What a waste. The advanced training culinary progr...

What a waste. The advanced training culinary program here is top notch make no mistake, but the snobby elitists who run it have one too many sticks up their butts. I spent one whole year working under the expert instruction of the C.E.C. instructor at Inland Empire Job Corp, had the support of the whole center's staff, was phase 5 (the highest behavior rating), and still got rejected, over 6 mo. old case notes (minor offences). Not every rule is explained or written in the handbook, but you aren't excused because you didn't know. One of which was a complete slanderous lie made up by a staff member who just didn't like me. The worst part is every other staff member knew what happened and chose not to preserve my name or reprimand the lier who tried to get my education terminated. Now I'm at a significant disadvantage in terms of experience, skill set, and finances (you actually get paid for work at TI), on top of being miles away from SF the cuisine capitol of the US. This is Job Corp not MIT, Berkeley, or Harvard, great students are supposed to make and over come mistakes at Job Corp, it should not be this hard to get in. Great job TI thanks a lot for setting my career back like 5 years.

If you're between the ages 16-24, and you feel like you're too illiterate for regular school! You can come here and re-learn your ABC"s. Everyone here is below their reading and math level , so expect to be treated special . Food is decent and the 100$ clothes vouchers are excellent . Only a few staff will actually act like they care and the nursing program is a joke
