My husband took me here today for my birthday in search of a kayak. Brian was awesome and really help us select the perfect kayaks. I will definitely be recommending this store for anyone looking for outdoor fun!

Very happy with the customer service here! We had several people helping us and ensuring we were able to get all 4 kayaks safely into/onto one vehicle. They walked us through all of the steps while installing our Yakima Jaylow system and even took the time to tie it all down. We are new to the area and to kayaking and they took the time to answer every question we had and even gave us some pointers on where to go and how to handle potentially dangerous situations out on the water. Because of their commitment to excellent customer service and building strong rapport with their customers, we will recommend them to everyone we know who is looking for outdoor gear. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Great staff! If you are willing to tell them your situation they will work with you to get you the gear you need. Prices are fair for the level of service and quality of gear they have. You could shop online at other stores for cheaper prices but they might not have the selection or model/style you need. Often I've been in with one product in mind and they make me aware of a few that meet my needs better then what I wanted.

A delite to shop here. Bright and airy with an extensive inventory of all kinds of outdoor gear. Top shelf lines from shoes to clothing to gear to kayaks & more. The staff treats you like you're a customer......need I say more. Stop by and enjoy their attitude, you won't be disappointed.

Very helpful! Higher end products. One of the few spots we could find water shoes in the winter time for a trip.

Everyone here is awesome, they don't try to up-sell you things unless they think it's for the best. I buy all my gear here, which has been a lot lately!!

Cool stuff overpriced.. does everyone in the store have to come by and say can they help you...6 different people in less than 10.minutes...feels used car guyish..sometimes you just want to shop in peace..

I have been purchasing from them for years. The service has always been exceptional. I recently had to get a copy of a receipt from a purchase in 2008. They were able to find the purchase and quickly print a receipt. There service for the last 10 years has always been the best ever.

Knowledgeable staff who seem genuinely focused on finding what you are looking for. If you can't find it here, try their clearance store; great deals.

I recently went for a month long hike in Nepal Himalayas and needed a lightweight and good backpack. The salesman who assisted me was very knowledgeable and friendly, spent plenty of time with me helping me chose the pack that would best match my needs. He then said that his goal is not to sell the pack that day, but to help me make informed decision, and asked me to go home and do some more research as exactly how much weight I will be carrying and so on. This was unusual to me and though I could get the bag bit cheaper online, I went back to the store and bought it.

Broke the plastic buckle of one of the fastening belts in last few days of trip. Went back to the store to get it fixed. The sales girl looked at the bag, and she said I will get it replaced for you. I did not have a receipt. She tried to pull my records in the store and unfortunately the bag wasn't listed. She then said she recognizes me and had seen me in store, got her manager and told her the same and got me the bag replaced without receipt, five months after I had purchased it!!! WOW.

I rarely get this level of hassle free customer service. Its bit pricey, but every penny worth it!

I came today (01/11/2016) to buy two Kayaks for about $ 2200 plus all the accessories that are necessary for Kayaking (All for about $ 2900) after being in the store for second time. Their customer service was a big failure today. I agreed on the first Kayak and the second wasn't available at the store but available at the warehouse that is about 7 min drive from the store. When I asked if they can give me a discount buying two old model 2015 Kayaks they said "no way" and when I asked if they can take me to the warehouse to get the second Kayak they also said NO and that I have to come back again on Monday. I explained them that I live far from the store that I did not have time to come back on Monday and the answer was "you will have to come back on Monday because our staff is too busy on Sundays". Let me ask you this Travel Country, with so many stores over the internet that are selling the same product without taxes, lower price and that also ship the product straight to your house how is that you dismiss a customer that is about to spend $ 2900 in a day and you gamble to lose a customer for life ? Maybe you are selling too many kayaks and you just don't care about selling and providing customer service any more.

The selection is great and the staff is wonderful! One associate in particular, a bearded gentleman....The young and verile type. His product knowledge seemed to be unmatched. As he spouted off all of the features and benefits of the product I was holding...I couldn't help but be mesmerized by his piercing blue eyes.

Pretty large outdoor equipment rerailer. Only getting 4 stars because they are a bit pricey. And I love customer service, but the 3 or 4 times I have been here to shop the staff attack you with questuoms and what they can help you with. Let me get my bearings. If I cannot find what I need I will find the staff. Its just a little annoying. Sometimes you just want to look around to get ideas for items you may need in the future. They have a largest range of kayaks I have seen which is great for Fl. Dont get me wrong, it is a great store. I have just been overwhelmed by the super super friendliness of the staff sometimes. Doesnt seem genuine and more like you want me out of your store ASAP.

Worth every penny, even if you spend a little more. Phil took care of Chacos needs and was both knowledgeable and friendly. I would gladly spend the money here rather than at another sporting good store where employees sometimes dont seem to even leave the indoors.
If you're looking for a variety of camping, hiking, rock-climbing or just general weather/water proof and resistant clothing and shoes, this is a great place to go.

Great place if you need quality outdoor gear. I do mean quality. Have most things the serious Outdoors person would like or possibly need. And being from up North but I no longer live there. It's about the only place you can find real warm clothes down here in Florida. All these other places have no idea what a warm coat is. When it's 30 below if you're not dressed right you're going to find out real quick. LOL

Great store horrible service. The employees act as if it is a bother to help you. I asked one employee for a different size of does he threw the boxes at me and walked away. I also stood in a worry store for 10 minutes and had to ask for help before an employee could be bothered to help me. I would never buy anything from this store. Go to the store to see the items in person and then buy it online. Based on the service I am surprised they are still in business. Most people I know say they get their stuff online and only go to the store to see products in person.

Was able to buy Girl Scout uniforms and badges when the official scout store was sold old out.

So knowledge and professional, these guys really know their stuff. Working with Phil was a true delight, and we got exactly what we were looking for.

The prices are amazing, lower than used, and the people are extremely helpful.

I recently purchased a nice sleeping bag from TC. The packaging, product, and price were perfect. We had an issue with shipping, and Ian and Kevin were friendly and helpful and really made sure that I would receive my item by sending a duplicate (I returned the lost one when it eventually arrived). Thanks guys for your attentive service; I'll be buying from Travel Country again!

Excellent selections on outdoor activity products - quality merchandise. Plenty of staff and many knowledgeable, but need to add training tags to those that aren't able to do things on their own.

I have bought three kayaks from them since July. Have been happy with the service and selection every time I've been in. They have a fairly large stock of kayaks and equipment in the retail store, and what they don't have, many times they have in their offsite warehouse and can get to the retail store within a matter of hours. For some items they are pricier than you can get online, but I would rather the small local business get my money than the big chains or Amazon. The ability to test kayaks out prior to buying them is a huge plus. Check the store for their demo days. Will be a repeat customer.

I have had several great experiences with TCO. They do an awesome job to fit you to the best kayak or show you which type of gear lasts in your type of activity. Great selection of eyewear..some of the best!! If you fly fish or like to cook on the Big Green Egg then it is a must to go see Gary..great store+great people=great experience!

If you want the best quality products this is the place. Staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. I was very pleased the carry the Hoka brand shoes.

This is a great place to shop if you want to go out into the great outdoors and need to gear up! The staff is very knowledgeable and the products they sell range from occasional outdoorsman, to professional guide level gear. They also sell Boy Scout clothes, Kayaks, fly fishing equipment, and Big Green Egg grills!

After placing my order for a wet bag and a north face jacket, they emailed me the next day to say the items couldn't be found. Huh? Avoid!!!!

So rude, they just hang up the phone if they don like you. Not sure whether this is a discrimination against guests. UPDATE: Yes, it s your store. I got your phone and address from the brand partner, same with google, and the phone prompt is yours. I was just trying to determine if you were selling the goods I needed, and then go to the store, and these things happened, and it was very frustrating. A man made it clear that it was your store, said to check it, then hung up the phone, called again, take it, and hung up immediately. Called used from another friend's phone. A lady answered it. She hung up before I said it. I called again and hung up when I picked it up. I don't know how you would treat your customer's phone like this.

So it should be a 5, Noah was extremely helpful and patient in helping my clueless parents select a proper bag. Mind you we did not know they close at 6pm and held them up a little, they were all incredibly forgiving about it, but one employee was just super disrespectful and looked like he wanted to roll his eyes at my mom hunting for her sunglasses she lost whilst trying on backpacks.

He could not be bothered to help us, which I get it, we kept you late...but there is no reason to treat anyone like that. All the other employees were wonderful and why I'll come back.

Called and was given great advice by Todd. Staff seems very knowledgeable and eager to help.

I drove an hour to the store because of the items they had listed on their website. The inventory on their website does not match what they actually have in the store. I wasted half a day.
