Cry with the cap on

Cry with the cap on

Has been a client for at least 4 years and almost never had any problems, but unfortunately this has changed this year. Up to 3 times, domain names that have been prepaid for 10 years have been quarantined for no reason, with the result that the entire company is offline for a whole weekend or longer (web shops that are no longer accessible, e-mail that are no longer coming in, etc.)

Trans-IX does not find out about this itself either, so if you do not provide it to them on time, it can only take longer before action is taken to remove your domain name from quarantine. So there is no active monitoring of your domain name.

As an IT service provider, I would feel pretty silly if something like that happened to my customers and I would do everything to find out how such an incident could occur. Trans-IX will send you the following "However, we cannot accept claims, based on our terms and conditions we are not responsible for consequential damages." In other words, a pity for you, but we are not coming up with a solution, but we have been the cause of this whole scenario. And then also refer that you should purchase an SLA contract for the right support.

To indicate clearly:
How can you quarantine prepaid services (up to 2026), while this should never be interrupted?
An SLA is intended to resolve malfunctions within a certain time that are caused by no fault of your own, and not to mask ignorance from the service provider (you).
If a customer pays for a service until a certain date, it may never be quarantined. Because an end date is not yet in sight. SIDN never sets domain names itself, unless the supplying party gives the order (in this case Trans-IX).

As far as we are concerned, this company is not an IT service provider / hosting bv and we have since moved all our services to a stable, young, innovative company that keeps an eye on things and offers good support.
