We had the experience of dining here this past weekend. The encounter with this restaurant was very surprising - it was not the ambiance, the food, or the drinks. None of these things were over the top, to say the least. We were very surprised by the customer service provided by this restaurant. To start, my wife and I were recommended this restaurant by our usual server at our country club, of who also works at this establishment. The night we dined here, we saw our usual face and she sat us with pleasure. After skimming through the drink menu, she comes over and asks to take our drink order. Interrupting my wife, an older woman - one of which may look like a manager - rudely says that she will take our drink order instead. A couple of seconds later, someone else comes over and says they will take our order. After this, someone else comes over and suddenly there are four people huddled over our table. This rude woman ruined our dinner, especially after explaining something irrelevant thereafter. A part of me does not want to believe this is the owner, because an owner of an establishment so highly talked about would consider the comfort of their patrons. These people do not have table side manners at all. We are very disappointed in this restaurant and the management with their customer service. They not only were extremely rude to the employee (of which we know) but were also rude to my wife and I. Who interrupts a customer trying to merely order a drink? Clearly someone who does not value their paying customers. The server we got instead was mediocre at best, was very friendly but did not check on us as often as we would like. The food here was decent Thai food and decent prices. The encounter we experienced ruined the whole ambiance for us. It was our first time and we will not be returning, and I suggest anyone reading this does not dine at this establishment if you care about the way you are treated. Do not let backstage come upstage , lemongrass.

I'm writing this with a heavy heart. We really love Lemongrass.
The food was good as always. The service was great (Rachael). BUT here's the rub....
We ordered the tuna poke appetizer. It came with 2 fried won ton chips (not near enough to be able to enjoy with the appetizer), so, we asked for more chips. We received 4 more fried won ton chips. We thought, ok, they must be low on won ton chips, It's Monday night, no big deal.
Here's the big deal, when we received the bill we noticed that they charged us an extra 1.50 for the 4 chips. It's not the 1.50. Our meal (on a Monday night) was 90.00 and we left a 20.00 tip. It's the nickle and dime mentality of the ownership. Stop it!!! just charge 5.50 for the app and send out enough chips to be able to enjoy the appetizer! Rachael (our waitress) said she questioned the owner, who was there that night, about the charge and SHE refused take it off. So, The greed (or bad business mentality) that helped make this 1.50 decision just cost you a good customer and this less than perfect review.

Ordered veggie stir fry for pick up and the lady taking my order over the phone was rude. She was more interested in debating the difference between an egg roll and a spring roll than providing good service. If it s not called a vegetarian spring roll, then change it on your menu. I spelled my name for her over the phone but when I got there she asked me how I pronounce my name? I was like - um..Marie. This left me puzzled, it s a common name?! The vegetables are raw - it s basically GIANT raw vegetables in warm broth. It s like they were too lazy to even make them bite-sized. Outrageously overpriced and undercooked. This was gross.

I went here with some friends because they recommended it. It seems like a nice restaurant with a bar area on the inside. Atmosphere is not bad. Location is good. Disclaimer: I'm not the biggest fan of Thai food but I don't hate it. I thought the food was pretty average. My friends seemed to like it okay but didn't rave about it. So-so place in my opinion.

The owner is a very experienced restaurateur with multiple successful restaurants under her belt. I have frequented her restaurants for decades. In addition to flavorful Thai food Lemongrass Thai Bistro offers an ambience that would be impressive for a romantic evening or entertaining guests. The aesthetic is contemporary with soaring ceilings, a modern bar, and a large outdoor seating area.

Soo.. here in Jax for business and I like to try Thai places when I travel. Ordered the Tom Yum Shrimp and was on point! It was a bit smaller portion than some. Very good though. Also ordered the Amazing Chicken and yeeeesss it was Amazing and did not disappoint! A bit pricey but folks this is quality food. If your look for a quick Thai fix on the cheap ya might go elsewhere. If you want like a step above this is it! Service was good at lunch time. The place was clean and friendly. If your sure you like Thai then this place could change your mind. They can make the food without hot spice as well.

I've known this restaurant since they were back at their Baymeadows location and the food is as good now as it was then. Basically everything on the menu is well executed and masterfully seasoned. Service is good. Beautiful decor. Highly recommend if you was some upscale Thai food.

Very good food! Loved the pad Thai, duck, curry, fresh and fried rolls. Didn t care for the cocktails and sake. The service felt odd but like the atmosphere. Good portion sizes on the entrees but rolls were small.
