Nice atmosphere with a little store that has unique items.

At any given moment I'm willing to bet I'm the most conservative person in the place... and yet I truly love it!

Exquisite fair trade store and restaurant. We went tonight to join my Mom at Tellabration.

Great stories were shared while the food and drinks flowed. Met lots of friends and heard some really great stories. A grand time in Olympia!

I went with a friend to experience their open Mic!! What a fun treat!! Great atmosphere and yummy food. And I was able to get some gift shopping in afterwards...always a bonus!!!

Great food, 98% of it is pretty darn healthy, too! The cafe is very nice, great background music, and friendly, laid back (but hard-working) staff. The store must be seen to be believed, with wonderful imported items from exotic places. Many of them hard to resist! Probably the best place in Olympia to spend some time. Great concerts in the evenings, often, as well.

Haven't spent much time in the store, but they have great quiche and coffee!

Great place to find really speacial gifts from all over the world I love this place everyone is so pleasant also the cafe next door is awesome they had an awsome folksy band there so we stayed even longer very relaxing I'm going to start going there more often now that I know the cafe is great thanks for having a place this speacial in our town

I love this place. It's tiny but impressive. The imports are hand-selected with care by the owner and range from practical clothing to outrageous figures. Stop by.

The baristas that I delt with today were rude. I ordered an iced drink and the staff that was making it forgot my whipped cream which wasn't a problem, until she came back. Instead of giving me a dome lid she squished the whipped cream on top which made the cup to full causing leakage from the sides and when i put my straw in, the drink burst through the top creating a huge mess, meanwhile she sees this and sees me trying to clean up and instead of asking if I needed help or transfering my drink into a better cup she turns and walks away. Mind you my "16 ounce" drink cost around $9. Never going there again or recommending. Go to Burial Grounds or Starbucks you get better tasting drinks that are decently priced and the staff isn't rude.

Traditions is a one-of-a-kind gem! Wholesome, delicious, reasonably priced food, with a great variety of live entertainment.

A very welcoming cafe and shop. Well priced healthy food, get a beautifully made drink from some of the fabulous staff. A great place to sit and watch the magic that is Olympia. Slip into the shop next door for fair-trade and beautifully made goods.

I come here from many reasons. My child loves playing in the comfortable atmosphere, it is has the most beautiful location downtown and the first destination on a fun afternoon.The staff inspire me and I watch the business do amazing things. The food feels great and the music does too!

This place has such a wonderful atmosphere. The food is really nourishing. The small gift store is full of many beautiful hand made, fair trade products. Its worth visiting if you haven't. Also, the owner is one of the sweetest persons in Olympia, WA.

Great local place. Very casual - bus your own table, hang out. Many local performances and meetings are held here. The fair trade store has something for everyone, and has improved since my last visit - fun to walk through, a little like a gallery, and better lighting. The cafe doesn't have enough fresh baked goods, and no vegan baked goods. The menu is not extensive and feels a little dusty (as though it has never changed). But it's a reliable place (though they did make me the wrong beverage) and a local favorite. Very family friendly, even with some toys.

Great atmosphere and the staff are very kind, good people. They have live bands occasionally and can seat around 50 to 60 I think. Great veggie and gluten free options. Black bean enchilada was great. They also sell local art.

Such color and quality. They source all their fair trade goods themselves. Really wonderful items, arts, artisan goods.

Great selection of unique gifts, clothing and SWAG from a variety of international locales and markets. I truly enjoy browsing the selections, supporting independent craft makers and artisans. Also recommend enjoying the Cafe.

Always have a pleasant visit to the gift shop and the staff are friendly and welcoming. They gave us directions and was very helpful with our visit to Olympia. :)

This is my favorite special place in Olympia. This is where Olympia's activists go to nourish our souls.

The food is very good and reasonably priced and there is always several plant-based somethings to eat there. Friendly folks. The owner is a hero for all he has done for artists, musicians, writers and activists. Check out the music calendar!

I enjoy the atmosphere, the pay it forward program, the variety of international artwork and musician they host and the wonderful food! Bravo for supporting fair trade and local needs at the same time. Always pleasurable employees and friendly service with outdoor seating and located next door to both the capital lake Park and a smaller park with a jumping fountain and catty corner from bayveiw thriftway grocery store. I have ordered many salads, soups, sandwiches and desserts including icecream plus coffee from traditions and it is consistently delicious and nutritious and just right!

Great collection of items. Tons of things, good prices. Native art through Mexican art. I loved the shop.

Great place for unique gifts. Wonderful friendly service. Nice brew, cider, and beer too! If your passing by must stop at this one of a kind store.

Mediocre food. The front counters are unkempt. I witnessed an employee use the steam wand of the espresso machine to sanitize serving utensils. This did not instill confidence in me regarding the rest of their food handling practices. The employees exude the insecure, self-righteous Olympia disposition. Unless you also have this disposition, don't bother with this place.

It's just THE place to go. :-) My sister's and I meet there for great eats and vibe. It's a local treasure. We shop there for our Holiday gifts, great fair trade selections! We have large family gatherings, as well as quick bite with the little ones. There's an area for little ones to play with toys. So smart! And when there's live music it's just the perfect day. On street parking is a a pain in the rain but that's a downtown thing and totally worth it. :-)

Part cafe, part fair-trade shoppe, Traditions to me feels like the waystation for this time and place. No other business in Olympia gathers the community together in the same way. The food is good, nutritous, and locally sourced from small farms and businesses, and affordable with both coffee (Olympia Coffee) and beans and rice available on days where you might be short on cash via a pay it forward program. And the seasonal offering of ice cream...so good!

Because there is no wifi, people talk, read, write, and play (the stage serves as a play area for kids, with baskets of toys) in a very natural way.

There's colorful community and worker oriented art on the walls, a piano, and a lending library in the cafe. A great spot to have a bite and watch people walk around the lake, or to get food or coffee to go and walk the lake yourself!

An Olympia institution that is family friendly, conveniently located and community AND globally minded. Food side great for lunch or ice cream, tea or coffee and a cookie. Shop side beautifully remodeled with amazing fair trade merchandise.

Shopped for a gift and found a wealth of International artisan jewelry and clothing and accessories. Fun to see so much in one place and there are still people who choose to import quality work.

Traditions commitment to Fair Trade artisans and industry around the globe is awe inspiring. As a music venue, you couldn't ask for a more comfortable atmosphere. As a restaurant, it is a regular "go to" for my me and my family, but go with an appetite.

I love this place; shop and cafe. There is a social justice lending library. Cafe food is top quality and prepared with love and care and service is kind and friendly. The seating area is cozy and relaxing. The store is one of a kind in the region with artisan crafts from all over the world including wonderful clothing and houseware items and toys and books etc. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in Olympia or driving through.

Traditions is not a bar. It is a fair trade import store; soup and sandwich shop; and a stage where local and not so local musicians perform.

Delicious bagel and red lental hummus and a nice selection of organic teas!
