Trócaire Review

This is the worst nursing program. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! Super unorganized, they talk bad about students, if you dont fit into their click they try to fail you. They dont teach, you ARE expected to teach yourself, and if you ask a question your told to go look it up. Their pass rate for the nclex is poor compared to other schools. If you have an issue, the dean of nursing is a joke. For the price of tuition you would expect the best, honestly you get better at a community college

I did the phlebotomy 3 month certification program. My teachers were above excellent. So helpful and genuine. I cannot speak for any other programs, but this one went above and beyond my expectations!

No parking. Just cross your fingers for side street. Lying teachers. Just not a good time or worth all the money. Wouldn t go again.

I enrolled in the phlebotomy program. I was bullied by this very pretty 18 year old student. I couldn't believe it as I had not experienced something like this since HS.
I emailed the instructors to please speak with this person.
Jason openly flirted with all the young girls so after my email they had a session where I was openly ridiculed.
I felt I would not get a decent placement from Jason at this point so I asked for my money back.
They refunded my money but will not allow me to take a later class. I am a woman in her 50s and was certainly not a disruption and hostile as they accused me of being.
I did ask the teacher ro slow down on occasion because she was speaking extremely fast and in unfamiliar medical terms.
This is problematic because there is not another program in this area that offers a program that meets my needs. I want to look into suing them for discrimination.

Not Worth It at all!! Just go to another school don't waste your money at all!!!

I went there in my 30s. For RN. I was working two jobs . In healthcare. During clinicals the gave 2 patients while everyone had one. I missed over a week when my sister comided suicide. I failed few classes by 2 pts. Clinical nurses stood up for me and said if they were sick I was the one they would want to take care of them. During time I been asking for student tutor. No one available. They kicked me and said I would be better off as a so ial worker. Nice Catholic school.

A bit unorganized. But if you can stay on top of what you need done, it is a one way street to happiness and a rewarding career! I've heard a lot has changed since last year when I graduated but I think it is a great school. I believe they take credits from past schools upto ten years. (This is from when I enrolled in 2017)

Nursing program is a mess over priced and I don t care what anyone says you get the same education if not a better one at a community college. Unfortunately it s difficult to get into a community college due to high demand and easy to get into to this overpriced school.

I got bullied by an instructor and reported her and the adviser of student affairs etc. was for her other than me...I after awhile was forced to quit it was a business class teacher and she also taught some medical classes as while during the am classes...She poked me leaned over me and spoke very nasty to me in medical term when we took turns reading the words if I pronounced them wrong she was nasty about it and said comments to me in private about it during the 3 out of my 4 classes she taught me in nobody in class was saying them right the 1st time in life coming across those words a lot of them are hard to pronounce..Her getting you by yourself or walking over to you saying that in my opinion is harassment and leaning over me in typing class with this goofy smile on her face is along with the pokes..I think she should have been A friend B lost her license to teach even because a teacher is suppose to encourage u the right way and be an example of a person if life who respects you regardless if you're doing bad in class or not being a bully is no motivated it does the opposite, any teacher she know that she thought being that way would motivate me or she just had a mental problem

Overpriced and nursing program complete fraud avoid at all cost

You work hard to get through the radiology tech program but are not guaranteed to get into the ultrasound program even if you meet the requirements. Glad I chose a college that wouldn't let me finish what I started. I know...I've applied for the ultrasound program for 5 years now. No worries for them though, because they got my money by forcing me to become a radiology tech before I could ever have a chance at ultrasound.
Also note - There are no radiology tech jobs out there. Look it up. You want a job in the diagnostic imaging field you better make sure you advance your degree by becoming an MRI or CT technician. Or take the program for sonography. But remember you aren't guaranteed to do that at this college so make sure you play favorites.

I graduated from Trocaire College in May of 2018 with a degree in Radiologic Technology. At the time I entered the school, the program had a great reputation, with teachers and staff that had years of experience at the college and in the field. My class was the first class where they took on almost twice as many students. This meant they had to cut the clinic time in half for us because they no longer had enough sites to place us at. The long time director knew this would have negative consequences for the students and for the field, and because she opposed this, she was fired. After that things really started to deteriorate and a couple long time teachers began their exit. I felt like a guinea pig for almost two years. There was an extreme lack of leadership and many students came out unprepared due to not having enough clinic time. The only real message Trocaire College gave me is that they ONLY care about money. I got a good degree, and afterwards a good job, but for the price you pay you might as well go to a community college where you'll pay 1/3 the price. Save yourself the trouble.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. Run as fast as you can. They are nice until they get your money, then everything changes. They will try every possible way they can to fail you. The teachers talk bad about other students during class and they will even tell all the students who they want to fail. I have seen this over and over again at this school. THIS IS A HORRIBLE SCHOOL.
