I recently purchased a car at this Toyota dealership. I tried using a car agent but I was unsatisfied with the price and the lack of options. I emailed several dealerships in the area, and Lisa La responded very quickly with all the information I requested. None of that automated fancy replies that basically tells you nothing. She gave me the quote of the exact car I was looking for, and above all, she beat the price the car agent gave me by $1,500. When I walked into their sales office, then into their financing office, I was not surprised by any hidden fees. Lisa was always there, giving me updates and anything she thought may be useful. I did have to wait in the financing office but the financing person (feel really bad but I don't remember his name) drove down from San Francisco early so he could accommodate my schedule.
All in all, a very pleasant experience. Thank you Lisa for making this a pleasant experience rather than a stressful one.

The service department is excellent. I just had a part (ECM) replaced on my 2005 Corolla due to a recall. The service manager quickly took the information of my car when I arrived. They gave me a ride back to office so that I didn't have to stay in the waiting room. Two hours later, the service manager called me to let me know that everything was taken care off. They didn't push for any additional service. It's a great experience!

I had a great experience when I had to leave my car in the shop for diagnostics and a minor repair (baby in tow). Assistant Service Manager Randall Ricalde was very helpful and efficient. All staff was super courteous, including the shuttle drivers. The interior of the dealership is much more child and customer friendly than I remember it from several years ago. It seems things have changed a great deal. I was impressed.

Great service and strong WiFi. I brought my Lexus here for an oil change to save a little money and not have to drive as far. Everything went really smooth and they checked over my car and found all the problems I knew about.
I also recently stopped in to just ask about selling my car and told them what KBB said it was worth and they bought it on the spot.
Great service and great sales. Love it.

He was service-oriented, focused, knowledgeable, and kept me updated about the vehicle's repair status. He also advised me on another car issue, and gave me recommendations on where to go to get it fixed.

I really appreciate all his help! Service was really outstanding.

Everyone here was professional, friendly and helpful when it came to purchasing my new car. I never felt pressured or intimidated, in fact it was the first time for me buying a car without my dad or husband there to 'help', and I didn't need them at all! From the sales team to the financing department, to the service department, everyone was welcoming and kind. My daughter was even hungry and they brought her cookies, popcorn and water. Definitely first class service. I would definitely buy another car from Magnussen's.

Best Toyota dealership in northern california! I went to 4 other dealerships in the area an none of them come close to the service Palo Alto Toyota gave me!!!! From our sale person Kirk and the sales manager Lisa to the finance guy Chinh this was the best experience i ever had. They all worked together as a team and went ABOVE and BEYOND to help us get the truck we wanted!!!! They didn't have the truck i wanted on the lot so Kirk drove an hour to get it an bring it to us. They were no pressure, HONEST, and GENUINELY CARED about getting us exactly what we wanted.

Shout out to Danny in the detail department for working late just to make sure my truck qaa perfect when i drove it off the lot!

Best Price. Great services. Strongly Recommended if you want to get a new car. One of their direct sales manager, Said Abbas helped me a lot to choose the best car for me. He gave us the best price and kept following up with your car choice frequently. He is trustworthy and make it really easy to make a deal. I also met Harry which help me doing all the financing programs. I'm very satisfied with this experience to get my first car!

I had a wonderful experience with this dealer, and in particular with Miss Lisa. After I moved to the USA, I purchased a used Prius here. They helped me throughout the whole process. There were some small issues with the car and the dealer went above and beyond what was required by law to solve the issues, without charging me. I would definitely recommend doing business here

He is friendly and cares about the customer's perspective and options, not like some places I've been to where they rush you through and try to get you to buy as many products as possible. Also the Lyft service they provide (as opposed to waiting for a shared shuttle) is a nice touch

I'd been coming here for the last few months because it's 5 minutes away from my workplace. Last week, I had a great experience with Dennis M. This guy is super personable and professional. He even gave a great tip on disinfecting the air filter without the need to replace it (some funky odor was released in the car whenever the AC turns on)! The Service staff overall have been nothing short of excellent. Looking forward to my next tune up!

I'm slightly disappointed, however. I took my car in with a coupon for the $88 "minor service," but see no difference between what was done and what I could have had done with the $34 oil change coupon. What's up with that, Magnussen's?

UPDATE # 2: Magnussen's repaired the car free of charge. That's great customer service! Thank you, you have restored my faith and now have a happy customer willing to return and recommend you. Thanks again.
UPDATE- 1: Just 2 weeks and only a couple hundred miles after purchasing my car, the power steering failed. If one spends $10k on a car, this should not happen after such a short period of time. I am hoping Magnussen's extends a complimentary diagnosis and repair of this problem. Depending on how this is handled I will update my review.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Dich Tran was very pleasant to work with.
He took good care of us and I'd recommend him to anybody in the market for a car.

They let u know where they can do trade to get it if they do not have it. Buying a car is not like grocery shopping. Please be patient and they will help you. Not one hour things. I was in the market for a new car (specifically a hybrid) and Toyota seemed to be one of the best manufacturers of all current hybrids. I sent out feeler emails with specifics asking for a price quote on a silver or gray exterior with gray cloth interior Toyota Camry Hybrid LE.

Ferdinand from Magnussen's was one of the only dealerships to gave me a real response with a price quote that he would be willing to part with on the car and followed up on every single email I had (price/accessories/warranty) with a response within hours or less. He told me the correct answers with links to the information online.

The other feeler emails I sent out received awful responses. Most of them would not quote me a price. Most of them would not tell me if they actually had a car that matched my description. Most of them were not real responses and seemed like automated responses. They didn't actually answer any questions and only asked me to come down to the dealership to look at cars.

The price he had quoted me was on the lowest end of what people had been paying for this exactly car according to edmunds/truecar/costcoautosales which was great, I didn't want to deal with haggling in person and wanted to get a reasonable price before I got there. We both were satisfied with the price and he invited me to come into the dealership within the next few days to finalize the deal.

Before I could get to the dealership I received an email from another dealership quoting me a lower price (~$500). I now had a dilemma, do I take the lower priced car or do I pay a premium for the help that Ferdinand gave me? I informed Ferdinand of my dilemma and asked if he could match the price which would remove my dilemma and I would buy from Ferdinand. Ferdinand immediately responded and said the deal would be done, not a problem.

I went in, Ferdinand was clear and descriptive while he explained everything I was signing and just describing the car and its perks. When he brought up the price, it was just as he quoted over email. We finished it all up and I was out of there in 2-3 hours.

If I'm in the market for a car that Ferdinand can sell, I'll be going back to him.

I have my Sienna van serviced at Magnussen'sToyota of Palo Alto and always receive wonderful service there. I appreciate their courtesy shuttle both after dropoff and for pickup VERY MUCH... don't ever stop that pls.! More recently, I had the experience of purchasing a vehicle from Lisa La... a very pleasant experience all the way around with an excellent quote presented to me at the onset of the process... confirmed after a bit of research. She was also very patient in going over the vehicles details. Great service all the way around. :)

For their Service Dept... Magnussen's (Alex!) has been great in all aspects. I love the fact that Alex remembers me (and my vehicles). The work is always done on time, promptly, and with free shuttle service both ways. It is huge for me to have a place where I trust the people and the work done. Thank you.

I was interested in a used Sienna. When I inquired about my financing options, Mr. Said Abbas responded with an 8.9% APR due to my lack of a credit history (fresh out of college). I politely informed him that I wasn't interested and backed out of the offer. In response, he sent me a rudely worded email demanding "What APR did you think you would get?". While I understand that dealers are under a lot of pressure to meet quotas, I would appreciate it if they were nice to potential customers, regardless of their credit ratings.

Brought car in for routine maintenance. Jared Weber was prompt to help me and answered all my questions. He kindly recalled me with the news that my car was ready when I didn't notice the first voice mail he left. This is good customer service!

Not really Jared's fault but I was disappointed that key fobs cannot be fixed when they wear out and the only option is to purchase a new one which is expensive at 200+ dollars. I would love it if Toyota engineers could figure out a way to make the key more robust and perhaps provide a way to fix the rubber wearing out on the key fob. I shouldn't have the replace the expensive electronics just to get new rubber on the key fob!

I've done my homework and know what fair pricing would be for the vehicles I am interested in purchasing. Every car I looked at was priced 15 to 30 % above a fair price. I was so discouraged that I declined to speak with a salesperson.

I brought my Corolla in for a mileage based service. I was met by Dennis McConnell the adviser. I was astonished that Dennis immediately recognized me and my Corolla. Dennis remembered I was there not too long ago '. A check of the record showed my Corolla was not due f0r another service yet. Since my car is already in the shop he suggested doing the free recall service to save me another trip.

I am very happy wit the attention and service I got from Magnussen Toyota with service advisers like Dennis McConnell. I will continue servicing my autos as long as I own a Toyota, and I will ask for Dennis McConnell by name in the future.

Entered the service shop knowing what my OBD2 code was and having attempted trouble shooting the problem (EGR system) using a vacuum pump. From the information I had personally gathered and did not share I found the diagnoses done by Toyota to be honest and accurate. Jared Weber at the service center gave me an detailed explanation of the problem appropriate to my level of engine knowledge. The required replacement parts were in stock and the repairs were done within half a day. The free shuttle that would drop me off and pick me up at work made going here very convenient to not waste paid time off.

Came in yesterday for Toyota Care. Daniel Boyd was prompt and attentive. Although I have felt something was off for the wheels on the Rav4, Daniel did point out that I should have it checked and do a wheel alignment. Turns out that I did have out of specs and it was good that I took the advice to do wheel alignment. Also, I did not know toyota care (complimentary service) didn't cover wheel alignments, so it's a first for me. I felt maybe wheel alignment service charge was closer to the high side, but in the end I think it was reasonable because they did a good job. Thanks again Danny.

I went in for service because I got a letter from Toyota stating that my car was eligible for a free service to fix a sensor in the passenger seat. I went to Magnussen's because they had good reviews, and after going, I see that they were well deserved. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. My service representative, Amir Shah, took care of me when the service was going to take longer than Toyota's letter had stated. They did a complimentary inspection after the passenger seat was taken care of and only recommended new wiper blades and cabin air filter (which I knew I needed). I was really happy with the way I was treated and will go back in the future.

I arrived frustrated after fighting traffic and asked if I could go to any service area with my service agreement. He was willing to follow my wishes and support my choices. Today was our first time coming to Magnussen s Toyota of Palo Alto. Sebastian was our salesman. He was eager to meet any and all of our needs, from making sure we had water in the scorching heat to ensuring that the used vehicle we purchased was meticulously detailed before we left the lot. He was very understanding of our needs and concerns as buyers. With all the time we spent with him, we got to know him better and how he truly deserves a five star rating. Also, Ali did everything to certify that our vehicle was in tip top shape. He even went out of his way to reach out to other dealerships for us, in order to schedule a maintenance appointment closer to where we re from. Overall, Sebastian, Ali and the staff deserve a five star rating. We are definitely happy customers!

My son was in need of a new vehicle after his was totalled in an accident caused by others. I have contacted the Costco car purchase program and they referred me to Angel Rincon at Toyota of Palo Alto. Angel was able to locate a vehicle that my son liked and we were able to get a great deal on a timely basis. Angel took time away from his family to make sure we could get the deal done in the nick of time. Furthermore Raj in the finance department was also able to get him a better deal on the auto insurance policy from what he originally had.
Overall I was pleased with their professionalism, and the fact that they were not "pushy" to offer options we did not need, but rather catered to our specific needs. This was a nice "car buying" experience and will definitely use this service again (I did use the same service some 10 years ago when I purchased my Ford Explorer and it was comparable to this experience).

I have been servicing my Toyota Camry at Magnussen...

I have been servicing my Toyota Camry at Magnussen's Toyota of Palo Alto for the last 3 years and they always did a great job. Michael used to be my service manager in the past and since he left I have been working with Tony and never had a problem.

I took it this week for a regular 5,000 miles service and when I came to pick it up I was surprised to find a big scratch on the car that happened during service and no one in the service department noticed.
This is one of my main concerns, I was expecting the service department to inspect the car after service and find things like that, my wife also told me she would have never thought about looking and would have just taken the car home.

The service department compared the car to pictures they took when it arrived and acknowledged they caused the scratch and fixed it.

Fixing it resulted in me being without a car for 2 days in addition to taking time from work driving to Palo Alto for pick-up twice.

After the fix was done, when I came to pick up the car Tony wasn't there so I worked with Octavio.
Having seen no adjustment was made to my experience, I asked about it and I got a couple of very awkward answers:
1. When I mentioned that I expected something like this to be found by the service department I was simply told they didn't know about it and they can't tell me nor fix what they don't know. This came across as a very odd way of trying to reduce the responsibility of the service department.
2. I was also told that given it was Saturday, no one in the service department can help and as a result I can leave the car and come pick it up again Monday (i.e. spend another 2 days without a car and take time from work again to drive to Palo Alto) to talk with someone about this.

It wasn't worth the time and effort for me so I took the car.

I was extremely disappointed at the lack of customer care, it really felt they are trying to do the minimum to not be liable as opposed to trying to preserve me as a customer.

As I told Octavio, it is a shame that after 3 years of servicing my car there I will be thinking long and hard whether I want to bring the car there again.

Do NOT believe the good reviews. They are fake! If you take a close look, you'll see that they are all written by the same people (employees of Magnussen's Toyota).
I had my car serviced at Magnussen's soon after moving to the Bay Area, after falling prey to the fake good reviews. Not only did they scam 600 dollars out of me for a routine 75.000 mile check-up, but they also didn't return the car for two whole days because "they were so busy." I was no given a rental car while waiting, nor was I compensated for the time. My husband and I both tried to reason with the managed and staff at Magnussen's, but we were met with extreme hostility. This is clearly a stunt that they pull on many people. I'm due for another check-up, and I've called other places and they've all given me quotes for under $100. Stay away from this place, they're crooks!

To avoid contact during this pandemic, I spoke with Alex Ramirez about the possibility of someone from Magnussen's picking up my car from my driveway and returning it there after service was completed. Initially the response from management was that it couldn't be done. But somehow Alex convinced management to change the policy, and he was the one who picked up my car and returned it. Thank you Alex for making it happen.

I've been a customer for about 25 years, during which time I've bought four Camry and two Prius vehicles from them. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with them, both in sales and in service, and I expect to continue to use them in the future.

As a former teacher, I am well aware of the ratings process. In general, people who are displeased give negative ratings, while people who are happy don't bother to provide any ratings. Magnussen is an extremely popular dealership; just look at the crowds any morning. They must be doing something right!

I went in to get my car serviced. I was helped by Michael Gajda. He went through my car history to make sure that I was getting the right service package since I had missed some services. He was able to get the update on the software of my car done (part of the Toyota recall). I had called earlier and had been told by another person that I would have to schedule another appointment to get the software update. This was pretty convenient for me.

My service was estimated to take ~3 hrs. Service was done at the estimate time they gave me.

Afterwards, he explained to me what needed to be replaced. Replacement was done speedily and cost was provided beforehand.

I found communication channels to be available and clear. I understood what needed to be fixed with the car.
