Holiday Inn Express Bali Kuta Square Review

The receptionist on duty this morning June 5 2019 at 9:57 is very rude! As a person on duty the receptionist is very unprofessional. 5-star hotels do not deserve to have a receptionist with that ethic. It is unfortunate.

Love the vibe of the room as well as the infinity pool facing the sea

The room is nice, close to the beach, and not far from the mall (about 10 minutes walk). Breakfast area offers variety of food as well

Near to beach, 10 minutes drive from Airport. Nice staff but would like to have variety in breakfast spread. A swim is a must in the Roof Top pool a must, ( my recommendation eve ) sunset views are stunning.
Room are small but we'll supported by house keeping.
All in all a nice stay.

Booked a large room that had its own dining table and lounge area. Lovely views over the beach. Big bed and shower area. Chic modern design. Very comfortable. Upstairs rooftop pool again overlooking the beach. Really recommend for a stop over before heading out to the airport which is a short drive away.

Elegant hotel with all amenities and located right on beach with beautiful views

Located near the Jerman Beach, by walking distance. Breakfast was nice, enough choices and tastes good. Pool area was nice, facing the sea, but no guard standing by. There are rooms available in Quiet Zone, very nice value.

In a good location, close to the beach as well as plenty of amenities nearby. The rooftop bar is a good spot for sunset.

Stayed for 3 nights after flying in while we looked for a long term place to stay. It's newer and the location is great, but there was nothing truly outstanding about this hotel to give it a full 5 stars.

The room:
It has the basics of what you need. Comfy for a few nights, but I wouldn't recommend it for a weeks vacation. It's meant to be more of a transit hotel. Wifi worked in the room.

If you have Gold status with IHG, breakfast is even better because they allow you to order omelettes, waffles and other custom things.

The rooftop pool is actually great with a view of the ocean and is the perfect spot to watch the sunset.

We used the onsite laundry room to DIY our clothes, but found it double the price of using machines in any IHG property in North America.

Front reception staff was hit and miss. there were a few that were super friendly and nice, while a few others seemed jaded and unwilling to solve problems.

Location:
On a side street that is metres from the beach and a quick 5 minute walk to Lippo mall. Lippo is a great place to shop, get groceries, take out money from the ATM, and get awesome food/coffee.
Lots of mini marts and spas on the street as well. We got a SIM card from a guy for $10 that actually worked and gave us lots of data.

In summary:
Great place to stay for a few nights when getting to Bali or heading home. Close to airport and a safe/clean/easy stay.

Large enough and maximum facilities ... near the beach ...

A nice hotel has every amenities around. There are so many small restaurants around the hotel and the beach is right next door. On the 3rd floor rooms there are some with sea view. I like the informal setting of the hotel. Great choice for solo traveller or a short stay.

Very warm and welcoming place good value for money, nice hospitality, good food

Big progress about breakfast, 2nd time came here, the 1st time i came u guys served the same menu of breakfast everyday, but now u guys served different menu everyday, and i like the fish ball its really yum, and sambal merah, that always be my favorite :) the cleaning service is very nice and polite, wish i will hv a chance for the 3rd time to come here again. Another one , the spicy friedrice was yum, but the fried rice (only with ketchup) wasnt delicious at all, but overall all foods tasted good.

For the price, breakfast menu selection was disappointing. This could (and should) have been a selling point since the facilities were also pretty limited. The pictures of the Holiday Inn Resort in the profile is misleading, it is a different hotel. Plus we were unlucky to have had the coffee machine break down during our stay. The plus side though, it is a relatively new hotel, good room ammenities, and the reception was very helpful. I'd like to mention that Ms.Dewayu has given a top class service during out booking and check in process.

The place is clean and comfortable. Can immediately see the beach view.

Rooms are very nice and perfectly clean and the breakfast really good. The restaurant staff asked us all the time about the quality of the food and was very disappointed when I complained about the nuddles(which by the way, was the only thing I did not like). Next days the nuddles were good! As I staid a long time there, I started being close with the cleaning staff and restaurant staff to whom I bacame really fond of. I was sometimes getting my towels puppy shapeed by cleaning stuff and everibody was wishing me a good day with a worn and sincere smile on their face. I was really impressed when I told them that I fogat to put the "do not disturb" sign on on the dor and asked them to not go in, as they actually knew my room Nr. The best part about the stay was a the restaurant staff wich was making our stay so colorful and to wich I became friends with. I will never forget a particular person that made a huge impact on us, who even got as a gift in return. This is something you will not see every day. This place was a home far away form home and we will miss it terrible.

At the Holiday Inn Express Baruna Bali, the extremely comfortable beds are particularly noteworthy.
I have seldom slept so well in a hotel bed.
The rooms themselves are quite small, but still comfortable, but for 2 people it could be a bit tight, at least in the room with the queen-size bed.
Everything was very clean, you couldn't hear anything from the neighbors
The bathroom is unfortunately a bit small, but the shower is again quite large and well adjusted.
Otherwise the hotel also offers a pool and a roof bar, both unfortunately closed from 8.30 p.m., which I find incomprehensible.
There is only one restaurant in the neighboring Holiday Inn Resort, but breakfast can be taken directly in the hotel, it is sufficient but quite manageable.
The lobby is invitingly designed with plenty of seating, but could at least be lit a little warmer in the evening.
The staff are all very friendly and professional and try to take care of every problem in the best possible way.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay, and I'll definitely come back when I get the chance.

The usual comforts and attentions found in the chain. A comfortable place where all services work as they should. It has nothing local or typical but it has just the standard one you are looking for from the chain.

It's just mediocre but good value but might be disappointing when you think of other Holiday Inn hotels

Honestly, the staff at this hotel are incredible! I left my purse in a taxi as we pulled up to the hotel - we didn't even enter the front gate, just pulled up next to it, and I accidentally left it on the back seat and thought it was gone forever as I had no idea who the driver was or what company. Turns out security at the gate had already written the number plate of the car down despite it not going inside the compound! The staff at the lobby then continuously rung the taxi company until someone answered. A few hours later I got a call from the lobby to tell me they'd tracked it down and got it at the front desk! Couldn't have helped more. Really attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to help.

Hotel is nice too - good pool, nice location, comfy beds etc :). 5 out of 5! Thanks again.

Location:
Better than I thought. The beach is not swimmable and has a few fishermen boats around .But the location for a stroll by the sea is great! It's also great if you want to walk into Kuta square - about 25 mins by foot and 15 mins to discovery mall. In general there are a lot of shops and restaurants and malls around! It may be dark at night on some alleys towards the sea but okay otherwise.

Room is small but comfy. Cleanliness is the only thing I would fault this place for. The towels contained small stains. We ran out of soap once and on another occasion, did not find our room made after going out the whole day. The walls are paper thin but it did not disturb me very much.

The staff is wonderful. Theres a super nice lady at the front desk - she offered complimentary drinks while the hotel was late with our rooms. Breakfast spread was also basic but good. Also managed to get a crib for my room free of charge.

Might stay again as the price is good value for what you get here!

Very clean and compact rooms. Food is also gud. Value for money.

Modern and stylish hotel. Big rooms, comfortable beds and great pillows. Good breakfast in morning with wide choice from western, local to Indian. Only negative is noise. Designing a hotel with tiled floors outside the room looks good, but amplifies noise versus carpet. Was woken at 3am by other guests rolling luggage past door. Go for a room with limited foot traffic nearby.

Good and clean and there are no insects because the window is closed with glass and does not open which is small and there are no activities inside the hotel and the beach is a 2 minute walk

This hotel is amazing! I went here with my husband and son for one night before our flight back home and we had such a great experience. The staff was beyond helpful and knowledgeable of great amenities nearby. The rooftop pool was great especially in the evening with all the lights. The cool part is the roof top pool has a bar right in front of it making it a great place to just chill out and have a relaxing night.

In terms of food we had to leave early morning so the hotel packed 3 containers of snacks such as, buns, muffins, cookies as well juice or coffee whatever you choice.

Our room was great and was very clean and cold with the air conditioner working perfectly.

We have no complaints with this place and would highly recommend people to come and enjoy this place.

Holiday Inn Express. Again and again. Like I said on my previous review that I've stayed in Holiday Inn Express but in different city and country. Who can refuse this hotel? The hotel is so simple, I always love to stay here. This property is more different with another Holiday Inn Express because you will find a sky pool and sky bar!

I had only one night at work and it was great. It is close to the airport with breakfast included and there is a small pool on the rooftop. It was very interesting to see the plane taking off and landing on the roof because it was so close to the airport. And Wi-Fi is fast. It was the fastest hotel I stayed at in Bali.
There is a Holiday Inn next door, but if you do not call it a Holiday Inn Express when you get on a taxi, be careful.

Definitely a good hotel. it's a international chain hotel. room quality is very good. we have supplementary buffet breakfast and enjoyed the break fast having popular and traditional food and fresh fruits. very wide lobby to relax in hotel. good swimming pool with the view of Sea. but the hotel is quite far from the main city like kuta. there is exchange house near the hotel and few retail shop, spa, restaurant as well. you can find hala food over there.
