It's not my sort of pub, I just came here to meet colleagues. It is down a side street and is a typical "old house, dark wood, multiple-room" real-ale pub.
The tables seemed crammed together and the tiny round stools and dim wall lights wouldn't look out of place in 1970.
The bar staff were friendly enough, and thankfully there was no "muzak" blaring out, but it's not a bar I'll be going back too.

The most traditional pub I've yet found in Coventry. You know that Danish thing everyone's banging on about, Hygge is it? Well, the Town Wall shows we British knew a thing or two about warm cosy quality time too. Great beers, good wines, laid back friendly ambience, wholesome traditional food. If you're over forty you'll think it's heaven. If you're under forty, kick back, relax and learn. If you're under eighteen, well sorry, it'll be your turn soon.

I love this place, a time-warp, traditional gem tucked away in the heart of a city which is teetering on becoming just a faceless, extended university campus! Good food and great ales await you in the TWT, if you're feeling cosy, and above all, sociable, definitely pop into the 'Donkey Box' for a pint, there's standing room only within it's small confines, but you'll be sure to make new friends. Long may this pub stay the same and long may it continue and not succumb to development.

Lovely old and original pub with an atmosphere to match, clientele tend to range from regular visitors to theatre troops as this pub sits directly behind the Belgrade theatre. Drinks are relatively low in price given that it's a city location. They serve traditional ales and have a basic but very tasty menu which is also low in cost. This pub is very small and it can be quite difficult to get a seat sometimes especially on a Sunday as they do a traditional roast dinner. It would be best if you are planning on eating to go early rather than later. Food is generally served between 12-5pm. Atmosphere is very friendly and the staff are lovely it's nice in the winter with the log fires lit. It's not an upmarket pub with modern fittings and the prices to match what you see is what you get .
