This is a good place to find your souvenir t-shirt or sweatshirt from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. My son bought a pair of sunglasses last time we were in and it's really one of the two shops in town that we go to for souvenirs.

The customer service in the store is outstanding. I bought some beautiful tri-metal earrings last year and lost a piece of them. I called and emailed not really expecting much but hopeful I could buy just the piece of metal I had lost; the owner gifted me a new set completely free without hesitation out of the goodness of his heart. I couldn't believe his generousity and kindness. These are my favorite earrings and I would definitely recommend this store :)
This used to be a quaint shop to find toys, candy, clothes, and supplies but lately the have brought in high end clothes like North Face (I do like these clothes) but have dropped the ball on the other items. Toys are lame and the other items that used to make the store have gone to stickers and shot glasses.
I used to come in here all time when I lived in Glen Arbor.
I've been friends with Doug, the owner for almost 7 years and I went to the shop for the first time this last May. All should stop in if they can.
I can't say enough good things about the totem shop! Their customer service and product selection is excellent! My wife found a unique pair of earrings that she loved. Unfortunately she lost one of these earrings and was extremely disappointed since we didn't live in the area. A quick call to the store and the courteous and friendly store manager, Ken Schwaiger, immediately found her an identical pair to the one she lost and shipped it out across the country to her the very next day. This type of true customer service is a rarity to find. I can't recommend this store enough. It's obvious that they care about their customers.
Are you 12 years old or under? (Or do you have a 12 year-old or under) Then the Totem Shop is the place for you to shop in Glen Arbor. Toys, fudge, clothes -- they have it all. I'm a bit biased in my description as the Totem Shop is a family favorite that has been here for years and my family has been going to since I was too young to remember. I always liked to go in and play with the toy swords, rubber band guns, and water toys or buy packs of plastic army soldiers to put on my sand castles along the beaches. It's seemed to me that the quality has gone down a bit in the past few years, but that could just be me getting older and more removed from the days playing in the shop.
A Hoodie for $12 ! Also lots of cheap to high end attire here. Good for everyone.
Great selection of product! Glad I walked in! They have Kuhl, Patagonia, Lole, and more - all for great, competitive prices. Friendly and helpful staff! The owner, or manager (?) (male) was very engaged and supportive of his staff, who was quickly working their way through shipment and helping customers on a busy July morning! They also have a lot of t-shirt and other gift options.
Was able to find an XL size hat for my big cranium. Had a nice selection of quality clothing but didn't spend much time looking at that.
