I loved the broiled Halibut. The waitress was overworked, but very nice. Seriously, why is this place getting such great reviews. My coworker ordered beef tips that he couldn't even chew. The salad was nondescript, and the homemade blue cheese dressing tasted like peppercorn ranch. .Not bad, but just average
Contacted owner for catering service to deliver to my sick son at UNH. She acted like I was an inconvenience to her and told me that they were very busy and to call back at another time. My money is just as good as anyone else there. Very unprofessional.
Perfect casual dining. Staff is pleasant and attentive.
Nice spot for lunch unique food choices. Its located in the Hill Plaza. GPS will not get you there.
Always a favorite place to have a great dinner in a warm cosy atmosphere!
Best family dining in town. Plenty to choose from, super kid friendly, good draft beer choices. Great for a quick date-night too!
Good staff, several daily specials to keep menu fresh.
Cool casual place. Enjoyed getting lunch here as we checked out the UNH campus.
Over priced for the food, which was ok quality. Service staff was professional and friendly.
A delicious meal each and every time we go to Bella's. Sometimes it can be a bit of a lengthy wait, but the food is always worth it.
I love Bella's and today was no different. Delicious chicken special. (Sophia is such a trooper for taking outside today and Shannon made a great drink special).
Always a delicious meal at Bella's. The food is freshly made to order in a casual, yet intimate setting. Good beer selection.
As it says casual and quaint. Service was great. Food was okay nothing to complain about. If looking for a place that is away from UNH students I would recommend this place especially if you are casual. Wish they had a few more options but generally okay.
Nice small surroundings, outside dining, good food, pleasant atmosphere
Friendly staff and comforting food. Just an enjoyable spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat.
The staff were excellent and the food was amazing. What a pleasant experience.
My Gold Standard for resturants. Great food, diverse menu, and outstanding people.
I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and moderately priced, they have outdoor seating, and the staff are friendly.
So sad this place is going out of business after May 18th. They lost their lease, but I hope they find another location nearby.
Great food. Best Manhattan I've had in a long time.
Great place! Great food! Staff is very friendly. The best thing about this place is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend it if you want a nice dining experience without the craziness of all the college kids.
Food was absolutely fantastic, we dined with a party of 6. We tried the mozzarella sticks, fried kalamari, chicken qursadia, and french onion soup for appetizers, all fantastic! And the burgers, chicken parm, rueben, and meatball subs were all great! Friendly Fast service. Nice atmosphere and very filling.
Great food. Wonderful service!!! We take my grandfather every week.
Great service, food and drink, the place to go to in Durham.
Food was great, staff was professional, and the pricing was reasonable. Loved it.
Incredible Chicken Pot pie. Flakey crust, creamy! Awesome staff!
"Bella" truly fits the atmosphere of this little gem hidden in a strip plaza. (Thank god for GPS!) Very clean charming space with prompt friendly attention. Our server Alanna was charming. We both got the special Shepherds Pie ($12). First came the salad with mixed greens as fresh as our own garden with the great house bluecheese dressing. I ordered the house Cab Sav for $6 not a large portion but very good. The serving was huge a nicely seasoned mashed potato, beef and corn pie - although my husband thought it to be instant vs fresh. The real delight was the garlic toast - so light and perfectly crisped. An overall great meal, value and experience.
My haddock tasted like it had gone through the dirty dish water. I was so disappointed. The waitress had asked if I wanted tartar sauce when I ordered. She asked again when she brought the haddock to me. After my haddock was 3/4 gone (which wasn't easy) someone, not my waitress, asked how everything was. I told her that my waitress was supposed to bring me tartar sauce. She saw that the haddock was almost gone. She simply told me she'd go get me some. No apologies. It took forever to get our meal. It took forever to get our check. I CAN say that everyone was very friendly. That's the only positive thing I can add.
I want there as a customer. I was a contractor working on their floors. I work for Restore My Floor.LLC and I hope they were very happy with the results. The place looks inviting and casual for an evening of fun people and music.
Bella's is my favorite local restaurant. Great food, big portions and good prices!
Best nice place in town for adults to catch a nice meal. Great service and the owner is usually there making sure of it. Ever changing daily specials keep the menu interesting. Full bar with good bartender and eccentric locals to chat with.
Super friendly and casual, really enjoyed eating outside on the patio. The food was great, the portions we're enough for a good sized eater, and the service was really great in our case.
Loved everything about Bella's. Food was awesome. Great atmosphere and great service.
Service was terribly slow. The onion soup was so salty, I couldn't eat it. The steak and cheese quesadilla had 4 half inch squares of steak, about 2 cups of cheese and was soaked in oil. I would never return to Bella's
Bella's is the absolute best. They make you feel right at home with their super friendly staff. Great food, huge portions.
Great atmosphere and a super place to meet with friends. Geared more to adults than most of the places on Main Street. Love being able to sit outside and the staff are very professional. Could use more vegetarian options. :]
It's an ok restaurant and the only real restaurant besides pizza in downtown Durham. A bit overpriced for what they serve.
Food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
Main takeaways are great food, nice wait staff, and huge portion sizes! I came here for the first time with a few friends, and all of us were surprised by how good the place turned out to be. It's in an awkward location that doesn't see much traffic, which made it weird to see so many people there and as well as the pretty high prices of the food. The restaurant isn't quite hole-in-the-wall sized, with a decent number of seats inside and quite a few outside, but it did feel pretty cramped inside and it was clear that it could never handle a large crowd of people very easily. The menu is the traditional casual dining food menu: burgers, sandwiches, some pasta dishes; pretty standard dinner dishes such as grilled salmon, lobster Mac and cheese, and chicken fingers; and the standard soups salads and sides. They have a surprisingly diverse appetizer menu though, and a sampler platter that looked pretty good. I got the chicken tender dinner, what at the time of this review was just under $16. I thought that was just a little pricy for chicken tenders and two sides, but there were four HUGE cutlets of them so the portion size made up for the cost easily. The same price/portion relationship was true for my friends' meals. And they were GOOD. Obviously freshly cooked, very flavorful, and had an amazing flakey batter. I also got fries, a Caesar salad, and a bowl of clam chowder along with a fried calamari appetizer, all of which were also very good. The clam chowder was controversial at our table because it was a little sweet and had bacon in it, but I personally thought it was very good, if pricy at $7. The waitress we had was very nice, as was the manager (?) who took back my friends bowl of chowder after he figured out it wasn't his taste. Would highly recommend it!
Lots of food options, and great service. My only critique is that the beer list biases toward pale ales and IPAs. There typically are not option for those of us who like dark beers.
Great service, food and wonderful staff! A must if visiting Durham, NH
Had a great lunch here. Was cozy and fun. Great food.
Great food, great prices, and a great atmosphere. Worth a visit if you're near Durham.
I loved the burger and the fries were worth far more than I paid for them! My mom had the fish tacos, which she loved, sweet potato fries and asparagus, all of which she loved. Would definitely come back here again! Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful, the lights dim enough to not hurt your eyes but bright enough where you could see everything. The decor was tasteful and the servers very attentive.
Always friendly and bustling. An easy casual dinner.
Food and service were great. Lots of good options on the menu. Will be back for sure!
So good! I had the chicken parmesan and loved it Great service and atmosphere.
Very nice beer size 27 oz, the service and the food are both excellent!
Wings were on point, burger was flames, onion rings solid and crispy. Love it!
Must to try! Good food, affordable staff and friendly staff!
Mussels were excellent along with the fish tacos. My son loved the mini burger sliders
Always great food and love that it is family owned (not a chain thing)!
They were having a party, but we were allowed to sit at the bar. The bartender was very attentive and the food was great, given the fact that they were suuuuper busy.
The food was delicous and enjoyed my time over there. But not too much fancy.
Wonderful staff! Incredible food! I had the pleasure of speaking with the chef his knowledge of the art blew me away.
I had ordered the cowboys steak tips with a side salad and potato skins for an appetizer. The lettuce came out rotten the steak was very dry even though I asked for rare and the potato skins Seem like they were reheated. I do not recommend this place, Although I work nearby I will never eat here again.
