The hotel is clean and quiet, which is always of primary importance when traveling. With that being said, the shower head wasn t working right, water pressure was anemic, the rooms are somewhat dated, and they don t keep the concierge lounge stocked for the hours it is open. 21 Square Restaurant has good fish tacos, but drinks are incredibly overpriced for what you get (well mixed but ripoff size).

I wasn't a guest, really. I just went to drop someone off and pick them up again. It was really nice, and I got to see the pool, which looked very big and luxurious. The lobby was also quite nice.

This place was absolutely awful. They didn't have any keys when I arrived so they said I'd need to call and have staff let me into my room. The guy took 30 minutes to let me into my room. It was ridiculous.

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a Marriott. The rooms are not very clean, the beds uncomfortable and poorly made, they are loud so that the sounds on the hall are non-stop. The hotel is generally shabby with hideous cottage cheese ceilings. The restaurant took 30 minutes to get even a drink and only after I hailed down the waiter to ask for it a second time. The food took 45 minutes and was not hot when it arrived. The convention rooms smelled musty. Despite the poor experience of the hotel they allow none of the amenities that Marriott hotels all over the country have - they would not even allow a late check out without a 30$ charge. The staff was friendly and seemed to be doing their best but couldn't really compensate for the poor overall management. Only hotel review I have ever written but really - don't stay here! There has to be something better in Torrance!

I m going to be completely honest, on the positive side across the street is a mall, Chinese buffet, Denny s and so many places to eat.. workers are nice and friendly, they have Starbucks inside plus a bar, and a smoking area outside by a fireplace which is really nice.. so I won t leave out the good I did like. Now on the negative end I m a 22 year old African American woman and everyone that has a room here seems racist, people in the pool left when I got inside, Nobody wants you around them if you say hi they won t speak and also prepare to get mean mugged your entire stay!!!! I will never refer any of my black friends to this hotel specifically because of the people here which is unfortunate because the actual hotel itself is nice but you will feel so uncomfortable here if you re black. it s not necessarily a action they re doing to me but you no when someone do not want you around and these people looking at me like they re disgusted with black people, all my friends came on separate occasions we all feel the same.

This is pure American style hotel.

This is pure American style hotel.
Located at next to huge shopping center, and able to visit some outside restaurant by walk, but not besides beach.
Free Wifi is not so fast, so we need other connection if we will do business.
It's good to stay, but there is better hotel for Japanese.

I write a review here because I did not get any feedback from staff on this:
the day 1 July, we left the hotel around 17:00 to go to the airport. 1 hour later I realized that I had left my brand new jacket in the closet of the room, I called the reception that let me wait 10 minutes on the phone to check, and then to tell me to call back next day.
The next day I had the same answer, and same wait..call back tomorrow.
In short, the jacket has not been found .. my mistake is to have forgotten, but I am absolutely dismayed by the lack of interest of staff, I do not understand how a jacket can disappear in an hour of time in a closed or cleaned room.
I am still waiting for explanations of the news of the hotel that does not know how to deign to ask me my contact in case it reappeared.

I m a few hours into my overnight stay and I m already blown away by the service. A special shout out to Odette at the Concierge Lounge. It seems like everything that I craved for tonight magically appeared. All I needed to do was ask. She also knows practically every hotel guest who walked in and welcomed everyone with a warm greeting and a big smile. She made me feel like I m home instead of in a big hotel. What s not to love?

Very nice hotel. Decent views of the LA cityscape. The pool is awesome. It's partially indoors and I believe heated. Always a good time to swim. It wasn't hard to maintain social distancing in it either.

The hotel is very nice inside. The staff was friendly, very helpful. Drinks at the #21 bar were a bit pricey. I was able to watch Netflix using my personal account, which was cleared upon my leaving (I hope; anyway, I wasn't able to open it the morning of my check-out). Be was comfy; shampoo smelled great; shower had adjustable temp separate from volume; Wifi for 12.95/14.95.

Del Amo Fashion Center mall is across the street so there's lots to eat and drink there. We also walked 2.7 miles down to the Redondo Beach Pier which was entertaining.

Room was nice enough but really dated. Had to wait till almost 6 pm to check in to my room. Check in was supposed to be at 4, got there at 3:30 and was told that it wasn't cleaned yet. Checked back in at five and it still wasn't ready. Staff didn't seem to care about the inconvenience and just told me to wait, go eat dinner and that they would call me when the room was ready. Asked for extra points for the inconvenience and it was like adding for a new born child. Not the best experience.

The room had a disgusting stench near the balcony where the pigeons defecated all around, and there were pubic hairs in the shower. It was so disgusting, I could not use the balcony, and had to clean the shower before I could use it. Although the night service crew was quite pleasant, the day crew at the front desk was so terribly rude.

This hotel was very nice upon arrival. The check in counter, bar, pool was very upscale. The rooms of the hotel was not pleasant at all the rooms look nothing like the pictures shown on the website. The rooms looked very old with old carpet. The a.c doesn t work well at all. The a.c was set to 60 but felt like it was on 78. I was move to a different room and experience the same a.c problem. My experience with this hotel was upsetting to wake up to a hot room while on vacation. Don t let the looks fool ya.
