Actually called the Pantages Theatre, of all the venue-renaming in Toronto, at least this one honours one of Toronto's most major Arts supporters, the late great Ed Mirvish, who owned the Royal Alex and built the Princess of Wales to house Miss Saigon in its Toronto run in the late 80s.
The Ed Mirvish theatre has a good stage I performed there recenlt for ther the first time, but perhaps the most beautiful lobby in the entire city. (Sorry Elgin and Royal Alex!)
