The hotel has been updated since our last visit, is a very nice place to stay away from the crowds of the Ski area. Dog friendly, indoor pool with Jacuzzi, indoor/outdoor tennis, and spa. Lots to do other then ski and shopping. Highly recommend!
Very nice place with beautiful rooms but they didn't refill the water bottle the next day.
Amazing resort in a beautiful location. No need to stay anywhere else!
Topnotch never disappoints. The service is stellar and the views are unmatched. The restaurants are also among the best in the area. Worth the trip from anywhere!
Extremely friendly staff, very accommodating, beautiful atmosphere and dog friendly! We had an excellent stay!
Did not stay here, we only had dinner at Flannel. Very ordinary yet very expensive. Our meals were fine but nothing special. My pork shank was served luke warm at best. Wine prices are astronomical. Service was very good however, our server was friendly and helpful. I had the felling this restaurant was trying to be upscale but ends up being a standard hotel restaurant once you scratch the surface.
It was a bit pricey but good. I ordered a hamburger, simple, $23, but delicious. The service was excellent. They also had several options for my partner who is a vegetarian. The restaurant is a bit hidden for those who aren't staying at the hotel. It seems like it largely caters to those already there. Regardless, nothing exceptional. Good, but for the price, ehhh. I'd go back, bur wouldn't be my first pick.
Stayed for the first time this past week. Great amenities and Ben was a great young waiter. All the dogs and care the staff gives them is topnotch. Will go back again.
Was there for breakfast which was completely overated and cold when it arrived. Not the standard I expected for this resort.
Beautiful resort nestled in a quaint setting with full amenities. Great staff, clean and modern rooms.
Been coming here with the dogs for sometime. Seems like its starting to get worn a bit
Great spa, tennis courts for the summer, and the shuttle to the mountain stops at the end of the driveway.
Rooms are fine. Not of a mixup at the beginning. Staff all ses new and inexperienced.
Perfect place to getaway and relax. Wonderful food, massages, amenities and breathtaking views of the mountains. Can't wait to come back!
Topnotch resort has topnotch service whether it is dining, tennis, spa, or local advice. Will definitely try to get back soon
Topnotch is the premiere lodging option in Stowe, along with the Stowe Mountain Lodge. It has the best spa in Stowe, along with a beautiful indoor pool area and two outdoor pools. Food at Flannel is excellent and The Roost is a nice bar with above average food. Overall, a great place to stay, dine, or relax in the spa in Stowe.
The experience was not as expected given my stay a few years ago. However, the new General Manager is extremely responsive and has high expectations of the staff. I am confident this was an anomaly and going forward the excellent service will be restored and exceed all guest expectations. Thank you for following up.
Amazing suite! The indoor pool is incredible and I'll be visiting the salt pool outside this evening. The food and service is remarkable, and local services, such as a horse-drawn sleigh ride, were able to be billed to the room. Were considering making this an annual trip!
This place is great! Super kid-friendly, helpful staff, delicious restaurants and a fun bar. Nice indoor pool and luxurious spa.
Beautiful hotel. Great tennis facility with wonderful staff. Outdoor pool has fluffy towels, restaurant service and large umbrellas to eat lunch under. Indoor pool/spa has messaging waterfall in the jacuzzi for tired muscles.
It is absolutely reprehensible that Topnotch Resort is terminating employees with no notice, no severance, and no benefits during this chaotic time! They have approximately $13M in annual revenue yet somehow can't afford to look after the people that keep their hotels running?!?! The parent company, SPIRE Hospitality has approximately $131M in annual revenue yet somehow can't figure out how to weather this storm with the people that are the backbone of their resorts and hotels!!! I will do my best to make sure friends and family NEVER support Topnotch and SPIRE hotels and resorts again! The website spirehotels.com actually has the nerve to say 'people first' in their goals! If anyone feels inclined to contact them the email for their CEO is crussell@spirehotels.com
My wife and I spent 2 days at Top Notch and we'll definetly return. The previous comment about the decor being outdated... Yes, the lobby, entrance, halls, and rooms have a rustic appeal but fit well with the overall ambiance of the "vermont feel". Even "Mikey the moose" depicts the history of the start of the resort. Although the lodging aspect had a rustic appeal, Norma's, the spa, and the pool had a modern look. Not to mention, by driving by the other lodges/hotels, this was by far the nicest. I treated my 16 week pregnant wife to this resort who induldged in a "maternity massage" while I enjoyed the heated outdoor pool. Even if you can't stay for the week long vacation, a one night stay is worth the morning views of Mount Mansfield while enjoying your cup of coffee at Norma's.
The name says it all, Top Notch indeed. Excellent customer service and great rooms and amenities
Got a massage at the spa and had access to the rest of the resort for the day. Beautiful facility with excellent staff who were very helpful. Special thanks to Barbara and Elaine who helped my wife and I with the massages!
Spa is fantastic. Such a decadent treat. Wonderful facilities with a sizeable sauna, steam room and hot tub in the women's lounge, clothing optional, as well as a very peaceful lounge to relax and await treatments. The coed area has a large insoor pool and a hot tub with a strong waterfall that releases all the tension in your upper back, shoulders and neck. On sunny days the outdoor pool and hot tub are heavenly as well. In the nicer months there is a family pool open too and these others become adult only. All of their massage therapists are highly skilled and very professional. There are several treatments that combine multiple types of treatments. The Mount Mansfield Saucha is my favorite.
There are several people at Topnotch should get recognition: the valet- Albert was always professional and had my car ready. The front desk personnel were amazing especially Jeremy and Emily they have all the answers and great recommendations such as the farm table in Cambridge was great. In the spa, heather did a great deep tissue massage. Second, tammy did a phenomenal job with my wife s facial. Thank staff your awesome!!!!
Ask for Jeremy at the front desk! Fantastic service
my family owns a condo at topnotch and we love it so much the woods is behind the condo so the kids can play on the hill and they love it
Great service. Very family friendly. Pools are great. Spa facilities are available to guests including saunas, steam baths and hot tubs. Poolside wait service. About 10 minutes from skiing.
Great view of the mountains. Great service. Food was just ok. For the area, their are way better options for food
I have always been a fan of Topnotch. They have done a series of renovations in the last couple of years - all for the best. I will say that I miss the tea room where the moose head was hanging. The have the best pool and hot tubs / spa area in all of Stowe. The hot tub waterfall is amazing, and feels like a massage if you sit underneath it. A lot of people don't know the indoor waterfall exists. The switch to turn it on is just around the corner.
What a wonderful getaway location. My room was perfect, spacious and with good WiFi. Both The Roost and Flannel serve great food and the spa was unbelievable with its full workout gym, cardio room, lounge rooms, pools, saunas, and the list goes on.
