I liked shopping at Tony’s finer foods until I noticed certain items are fully stocked the day before the next sale begin. Then boom the next day when a new ad start all of a sudden that particular item is pulled from the shelves. Personally I feel that’s false advertising.
Got a door right away to unload 1 pallet. Took them an hour and a half to unload. 1 hour wait for the paperwork. 39 dollar fee to unload.
The guard shack people were very friendly but the office personnel was a different story. Checked in an hour before my appointment and got out in a door immediately and unloaded. Then sat in the door for four and half hours waiting for them to do the paperwork. Then when I went to the office to check out they told to they were going on a lunch break and that it s going to be another thirty minutes. This place is ridiculous!

The worst shipping receiving I've seen in a long time. why are you letting the lumpers run your shipping and receiving they're idiots... they don't care about your company it's just a job for them.. so much potential but so little aspiration to make this place decent

I am sorry for all the bad reviews but in defense of Tonys here are my thoughts. The company started over 70 years ago by Tony Ingoglia Sr. Who came here poor and just sold salami and he and his son Tony Jr whom was like a father to me they ran this place tight as a ship they loved the staff and treated the drivers well. Both has sense passed on ( rest in peace) were hard working man who were very successful and Tonys was one of the best places to work if you were a driver . Some nephews run it now so all the old ways are gone .

Paper work 4 hrs after u get unloaded. No women's rest room. Only 1 port potty for all the drivers. Terrible place.
In out in about 3 hours. Office had done my paperwork before capstone had the trailer completely unloaded. Parking on the street, park and walk bills to the guard.

I am a buyer that works for a large company and Tony's acted like they didn't even care to work with me. My rep Todd Colbrandt wouldn't even call or email me back, I guess they do not feel it is important to get new accounts. The people I talked to a customer service were great, but unfortunately there was nothing they could to to help me.

Delivering to this place sucks, systems were down, so took too long to get a door and top it off with the lumper requesting payment before bills were ready, so it took an even longer wait... Avoid if possible.
Absurd return policy, often times they take the info and don t give you anything. The drivers swear ingnorance, the call center too. They are nothing short of thieves. Also cash only for so many years and all of a sudden without warning they switch to checks because of a virus? How are you still in business?
If you are more then 30 min late they charge late fee and take over 3 to 4 hours unload 4 pallets and made me late for all my other apt. Full of bullshyt

Good place to deliver. You can park on surface streets and Check in at 2. Small driveway only allows two trucks at a time so that takes a little time. Guard was nice. Got a door right away. Check in at door 18 and all is smooth. Outta here in two hours. No food truck.
It was a bit of a struggle to figure out the gate but I walked through it as another truck went in and found the office. There was no guard shack attendant. The keypad at the gate for you to pull through did not have the code to reach the office. So there is a walk through gate to the far left that you can get in and out of so I had to go back through and asked why I couldn t get through the gate. But here was the awesome part about this experience. I had to go here first even though they were my last stop and still had to go to my previous stop. They were so wonderful about unloading the product and, for the most part, carefully putting it back in when they got their items out. Time spent there was no big deal especially with the issues that I had.
Unloaded within first 30 minutes. Waiting over 4 hours for paperwork. Told sorry you have the slowest worker..if they are that slow they don t need a job. Inconsiderate of truckers period. Stay away if you can.

Terrible business model . Was charged $254.00 for a reschedule fee due to I-80 at Donners pass closed due to snow . Now I not only have that , plus a lumper fee from good old fashion ripoffs like Capstone Logistics .. But what do you expect ,it's California .

Worst place ever...arrived 0540 for 0630 appt. Was in door 0550.. 3 pallets totaling 163 cases already broke down. Been watching trucks come and go for 4 hours. They strictly going by appointment, even if you have to deliver 2 pallets. My appointment was on next day, they get me door unloaded within 10 mins, but wait for my paperwork almost an hour.

Not a horrible place. Overnight parking on street which is rare up here. Plenty of space. Drive up to guard and check in with phone. Check in one hour before appt and if you're late you get a late fee.
Normal unload times. No food truck and bathrooms available unlike some that only offer a Mexican space shuttle aka port a potty.

Worst company ever. They used to be a great company before UNFI brought them out. Their prices are super high, stock is always missing. They always treat their customers like trash. We did business with them for 12 years, and they didn't want to drop off an order because they needed to serve whole foods. We ordered $8000 worth of meat, they gave us $200 dollars of meat. We are switching all our 4 of our stores from Tonys to US Foods.
Been delivering here for years used to like them in here got here this morning docked promptly checked in from please ask to use the restroom they said there was a porta potty outside for drivers and my wife and other women deliver here they expect them to use this went to the porta potty urine all over the seat and no toilet paper hell of a way to treat their delivery driver can imagine it was such a big deal that we used to use the inside restroom and we handle their food on the trucks that's pretty bad off
People drop like flies in here can't stand the cold I guess so who ever said a great place to work u must not go in the freezer lmfao
NEED SIGNS TO INSTRUCT DRIVERS TO PARK ON THE STREET AND WALK TO THE GUARD SHACK TO CHECK IN! If you roll up to the gate it will open. Guard won t stop you. So I rolled in and parked in the yard. Walked in the office to check in. Told to walk to guard shack to check in. Guard told me to go get my truck and park on the street then walk back to him to check in, but then he let me stay parked in the yard while he checked me in. Thanks man! Appreciate you not making me walk all the way back to my truck, find a spot in the street, walk back to the shack, then back to my truck then roll into the yard again.
You must park in the street, and then walk to check in. I can t believe they don t have a sign saying this. There are probably over a dozen drivers pulling into the guard shack every day to then be told to turn around and park in the street.
Don't deliver here if you have a choice. This was my 1st stop@ 5:30am appt time, arrived 45 min early. Is now 9:30am & still waiting. The next stop wont get their stuff because this place has no sense of urgency and doesnt care if they make you late, but will throw a fit if you are late. The next stop also closes at 10am, which I could have made with plenty of time if this company just did their jobs.
sunday is not the place to deliver very tight space on Sunday other days r fine and 3 hour to unload on luck day

These people are terrible. Every time I come here I go thru dreadful experience. Guard shack opens up around 2:15-2:20.
2:30 is first appointments, I waited extra hour to be first in line, 4 hours later still waiting. Had 2 products on 3 pallets. Easy lumper quick count and done. Have other appts I have to reschedule because these guys on their own time. Management at Tony's sure seems like they don't care.

Got right in and docked (easy) and checked in. Didn't encounter any rude staff in the office. Left before 6am.

I arrived at Tony's fine foods and had a 3:30 a.m. appointment when I got here the day before they were closed but had a call box at the security gate. When I use the call box a lady told me that they would not be open till 6 a.m.. I set up in front of their gate the night before and checked in at 5:30 a.m. and I was told that I would have to pay a rescheduling fee of $254. Plus I had to pay lumper fee. That was not right that a person who answered the call box who works for Tony's foods would give bogus information.

Read all....Do your part, report all that violate and dont follow the fmsca loading and unloading lumper regulations.it has increase from 11000.00 per event to 16000.00 per event .stop illegal lumpers.they do scan your id . hope they dont sell them.. personal info dont need someone using my id. very suspicious here. Be on time late will get you fine, no they dont pay if they take all day and you are in time you seat and wait..

Horrible place. If you're deliver a load for them, probably will lose about 5 hours or more. People who work in receiving department, lazy, slow, rude and stupid.
I m tired of these places treating truck drivers like second-class citizens in. I m not even delivering here I m picking up at will call.

She will make you wait and treat you like a slave.They wont let you use their restroom,because ya we are truck drivers. Hope they go bankrupt soon. This place is inconsistent, but plan on atleast a few hour for a few pallets to unload. Park in the street, walk to gaurd shack and check in. Hopefully they have a door for you, otherwise wait to be called. Fair amount of room to back up. Capstone Logistics... Need I say more?
