TONI&GUY Hairdressing Review

Been going to this Toni & Guy for 2yrs now and they always do a great job. I have thick red hair but they deal with my bleach blonde habit with no trouble at all - always love the result, regardless of the colourist! Friendly, helpful staff. I've had quite a few of the stylists cut my hair and never been disappointed with the result. Able to book appointments online, always willing to help out if struggling to find a suitable time. Top salon.

Lovely place, when you go in they take your coat off and hang it up for you, then ask if you would like a drink (choice of teas, coffees, hot chocolate) which are served with a biscoff. The staff are lovely and friendly.
I was a model for colouring by a trainee, asked for balayage ... ended up having my hair stripped (to remove old dye however it turned my hair from brown to yellow), then "balayaged" ... I walked out of there with bright orange hair, not a hint of balayage in sight ... and the trainee told me she was happy with it as she had achieved a lovely copper balayage ... I promise it was bright orange. Very expensive

A lovely young trainee by the name of Courtney gave my long straight thick hair a cut, blow dry and wave. Impressed or what ... she did a really fantastic job. I've been to some well established hair salon's over the years and really struggle to find someone who listened and gave me exactly what I wanted ... and able to cut thick hair!... she sure did. And not yet fully qualified ... than you and well done Courtney, one very satisfied customet

Didn't get what I asked for... But a super quality cut by experienced person. Would go again:)

Steve has cut both my little girls hair, Age 9 and 5 and did an amazing job so I asked him to cut mine and he did an amazing job. He listens to what you want, understands and takes real pride in what he s doing, he s genuinely interested in making you look good. I ve been back to him today for a second cut with him and wasn t disappointed. As long as he s at Toni and Guy in Hitchin then so am I!!

Have been going here over 10 years as I like my hairdresser Donna. Not the cheapest but I always feel valued and come out feeling happy with my haircut. Always get offered a drink. The place is kept tidy. Toilets available for clients to use

I don't usually place reviews. However, I was so impressed with not only the way my hair looked having had it coloured at Toni & Guy Hitchin but also the personal service given by the staff in particular Lou who made me feel very special, I have no hesitation in giving 5 stars.

I first came here many years ago after a terrible experience at another salon where they butchered my hair (both colour and cut). The staff were amazing in the process of correcting what the other salon did and I'm still coming to this place 6 years later. The staff are lovely and are fantastic at fitting you in for an appointment. Would highly recommend!

I popped in for hair products - I have never used this salon before - started chatting to the staff and ended up coming away with the best haircut that I have ever had. They listened to me and heard that I wasn't a safe yummy mummy - but a bit of a wild spirit. I went in looking 50 (my actual age) and came out looking 20 years younger with a contemporary gorgeous haircut! Love this salon xx

Had a trim by Josh. Great guy, friendly atmosphere. You definitely get what you pay for! Would highly recommend.

Josh is the man. A hair 'artist' and the best one I've ever had. He knew what to do with my hair/style to make it look the best it could be. He identified the things that were wrong, things that were bugging me and made it hard to style my hair, and over a few cuts worked on it so that now I am 100% happy with my hair for probably the first time ever.

It doesn't take me long to style my hair anymore. To me that means he has sculpted my hair and cut it right, to the actual style that it almost just falls into place.

He knows his stuff, and he is very good with clippers which is great because I like my hair faded.

Where I'm at now, I trust him do what he thinks is best.

I cannot recommend him enough. Great stylist and throughly cool guy.

Added bonuses, there some lovely friendly staff there, you get your hair washed and conditioned before the cut, and they'll make you a coffee that tastes better than Caffe Nero.

Worth every penny. When I'm out there in my bespoke suits, I'm also looking sharp because of Josh.

I always have my hair cut with Steve. He is lovely and always get my hair right. Also took my 5 year old there for a hair cut and her hair received many compliments. Lovely =)

Not friendly was really looking forward to my haircut since covid. The hairdresser didn t speak to me unless I asked her questions about her. She wasn t engaging or seemed bothered to politely ask about me. Hair cut otherwise was nice but the experience was horrible. I sat there in silence whilst hearing the hairdresser next to me chatting away to her client all throughout. The experience has put me off coming back.

Took an elderly family member with memory problems here (she'd been a client prior to memory issues) and the staff could not have been kinder or more understanding with her. Their patience and gentleness were really appreciated. On top of that, her hair looked fabulous when they were done. Thank you so much.

I've had my hair done here for about 8 years now and I'd never go anywhere else. Lou does the best colour and I love the friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

I usually avoid chains/franchises, but was desperate to find a hairdresser who knows how to cut a classic graduated bob, and found Emily's write-up on the T&G website. I'm hugely impressed with the quality of her work, my hair looks great! I seriously cannot fault the service I received at Toni & Guy, Hitchin, right from the moment I walked in.
