We stayed at Il Tombolo eight days it was a peaceful, relaxing and very pleasant stay. The strengths of the structure are: the excellent breakfast, with exquisite sweets; the kindness and helpfulness of the staff; good organization at the Tombolo Beach, well spaced umbrellas,
beach towels made available by the hotel, congratulations to Giuseppe in charge of the beach bar / restaurant. We opted for half board, dinner is recommended, fresh products, generous portions, excellent preparation. The SPA, a very particular environment, certainly the hotel's strong point. Spacious room, to highlight the double rearrangement morning / afternoon, super comfortable mattress, slightly dated furniture. Good organization of the parking, outside, the car is managed by the personal, the only flaw is the resin that falls from the pines.

The structure is very nice with great potential, too bad the staff is not entirely adequate for the 5 stars.
We stayed in a standard room thinking we would still find a suitable quality for this category of hotel but unfortunately we found a small room, with non-adjustable air conditioning and noisy. Nothing to say about the hot tubs and the spa and beach services, very beautiful and well maintained. We took advantage of half board, so we dined every evening at the restaurant of the structure, dishes in my opinion "I would like but I can not", a risky and unsuccessful nouvelle cusine, in Tuscany is a waste. The quality / price ratio is absolutely not adequate.

Business trip:
If it weren't for the helpful and very kind staff, the Tombolo Resort would have light only for its location. THE
brevis: the team I worked for had been assured the possibility of making shots for a two-day service, the shots would have been exploited for the dissemination of promotional images for Brand and Store and obviously the Location could have given us an interesting resonance (as well as regular visits). On the day of the shots we were "reprimanded" by denying everything that had been agreed, alas, on the phone and de visu, never in writing, thus being able to give us the opportunity to demonstrate what was recorded. Unfortunately, the day after by Email, the availability initially agreed on the day of booking and the balance with the head of the Marketing Office, has expired. The Team had also been told about the possibility of having to pay an addition, a possibility taken into consideration without problems by the Team but then denied by the managers of the Resort. After describing how they damaged our work, thus not allowing us to be able to shoot anywhere but where it happened, I can now add two practical problems: the magnetic keys are all defective, of 4 reserved rooms not even one worked properly, therefore remaining locked out for a little, moreover, in the rooms we had to request blankets for the night because they do not supply them in the room. For the rest, all excellent.

Moments of relaxation.

I visited this Resort and Spa having heard a lot about it.
I begin by saying that the distinctive feature of all the staff is the great kindness that accompanied me from arrival to departure. So thank you to the ladies at the reception, the Spa and to Mr. Francesco who took care of my luggage.

I was given a room on the 1st floor facing the sea which I found more than spacious and furnished with great taste.

The only drawback is the limited space for the bathroom fixtures: in fact the dressing room and the shower area are very nice and large; the sanitary space is a bit narrow.

The Spa divided into a path of five pools, truly sensational and relaxing. After a while it's easy to forget all your thoughts.

Space more sacrificed for the sauna and emotional showers but overall positive.
The staff are always ready and dedicated;
very accurate breakfast and very large hall, well divided sweet and savory with a great variety of choices.

One negative point: the rooms are not soundproofed and you can hear every noise from your neighbor.
The same goes for the passageways on the corridor which, despite the signs inviting guests to silence, are continuous and make it more than difficult to fall asleep.
Surely it can be remedied.

The pine forest around and the private beach are truly wonderful.
Value for money to be rechecked.

We stayed in this beautiful building from 18 to 25 August. We make our compliments and thanks to all the staff of the Resort for allowing us to spend a serene and relaxing holiday, starting from the perfectly clean, tidy, perfumed environments, to the excellent and varied breakfast buffet, to the kindness, availability and professionalism of dining room staff, to the wonderful and well organized Tombolo Beach. Another highlight is the Spa, charming and elegant, with qualified and attentive to customer needs, in particular the draining / holistic massages practiced by the friendly and professional Mrs. Loriana. Experience to recommend and try. M. Chiara and Renzo.

Excellent service and impressive set of spa pools and spa service. Breakfast and dinner were great. The hotel was quiet early April and our room was great. We had no problems with mosquitoes as the windows had mosquito nets.

I expected better. 55 euros per person, the changing rooms are not as clean as they should be. The pools say well, the outdoor area not taken care of but the major criticism goes to the lukewarm sauna, something that I pointed out at the exit.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and very close to the beach. Despite the size of the hotel, there are always free umbrellas on the beach. The thalassotherapy center is also very thought and decorated (built in the basement, similar to a cave).

A beautiful resort, ample parking, friendly staff, helpful and prepared. Very nice and relaxing baths and sauna. Slippers, towel, bathrobe and cap are provided at the reception. Relax area with herbal teas and perfect fruit. Unfortunately the tanks were a bit too crowded and the changing rooms (neat and clean) had the only flaw of having some lockers not working. The restaurant was 5 star, waiters and maitre very courteous and helpful with a luxury restaurant. Great food and very unique with very beautiful impiattamenti. Try it and definitely go back but not on weekends. Relaxation guaranteed!

We took advantage of the electric bike tour + massage option. Very good choice and the bike tour is ideal at the beginning of the stay to discover lots of places for the rest of the stay.

Buffet for breakfast despite COVID with service done by staff. The buffet is huge.

On the other hand, very disappointed with the restaurant which was expensive and whose quality was really not up to par. On the other hand, there are plenty of alternatives near the hotel with incomparable quality / price ratios!

It is a beautiful and relaxing place. If you are lucky enough to go there and find few people it is truly paradise. The pools are filled with sea water and the sauna, hammam and Turkish bath course also deserves to be seen and done. Bathrobe and towel are given to them, slippers, bathing cap and costumes must be brought. All surrounded by a well-kept and very suggestive garden (parking)

The new, modern, simple beach shack is probably the most beautiful place to linger in style on the beach *****! Instagram-suitable pictures can be taken here, especially in the off-season.

An oasis of well-being by the sea, certainly not cheap. Arriving you are greeted by courteous and trained staff who, exhaustively, explains the benefits of thalassotherapy treatments. The locker room is unfortunately very small and not very functional, cabinets normal. The base path provides for about 2 hours in saltwater tanks at different temperatures. Unfortunately, one was not working and no one was able to explain why, given the amount paid would have been desirable. Sin. The cleaning and the quality of the proposed sponges can be improved. Spa: relaxation here is absolute thanks to the path on 6 pools in characteristic caves heated to different temperatures with loungers all around to rest, separate man / woman saunas, showers, herbal tea and fruit relaxation area
Breakfast: wow ...... never seen such a buffet .... so many products and all of quality, sweet and savory, the photos speak for themselves.
It was a short relaxing vacation of only 1 day but I really enjoyed it to the fullest and you entered my heart.

Great place to rest immersed in beautiful swimming pools and quiet, all inside a cave, where style and nature blend together to make the stay very pleasant, which can last at most 2 hours and only by reservation.
The 6 pools have different temperatures and allow different activities.
Sauna and sensory showers also available.
Only problem the parking, arrived at the structure we enter according to the directions to park inside, even on the site is indicated so, but an employee who had left to take the luggage invites us to park outside because he says the parking is for those who reside in the hotel .. We go out of the hotel looking for parking but after 20 minutes of irritated search we call the reception of the spa and we agree to park as expected inside, this has delayed the agreed time, but the spa staff he proved to be welcoming, professional and very accurate with regard to guests, unlike the bellboy.

Very nice resort! All great services! The restaurant is nothing special. (As for the food given the high level of the whole structure I expected something more). The staff are great, they have the softest robes, the room staff cannot be faulted. Very nice experience! The customer is super pampered!

We had a quick weekend to recharge our energies. It was fabulous, certainly thanks to the fact that we came out of season and therefore there was a particular quiet, but it was relaxing and energizing, the pools and the choreography of the cave are fantastic.

I have been here other times, always excellent the service that is carried out by the staff. Kindness, friendliness, education and professionalism made available to the customer. For the first time I went with my 9-year-old son to add an excellent lunch at the restaurant to the course and there too the meter and the waiter were exquisite even with my baby.
He can't wait to go back, it's probably the best review.

I attended a weekend birthday party at this hotel and spent three days at this hotel during the off season of October. Having been to many four seasons resorts and other 5 star hotels I m not that readily impressed. Tombolo is well situated near a 30km stretch of beach and pine forest. It s in the heart of Bolgheri, the wine region that produces the super Tuscans like Sassikaia, Ornelaia and Masetto. The hotel has clean beautiful rooms most with balconies. The service is homely and extremely attentive, the food, well it s Italy but even In that context the food is superb. The tomobolo has a large spa with excellent facilities. One can start the day having a lovely breakfast that includes buffalo mozzarella and an espresso on the terrace overseeing the ocean, followed by biking or walking in the forest or along the beach, before hitting the spa for a massage or swim. Hard to beat!

I stayed for the second time in this fantastic Hotel and will certainly not miss a third, a fourth . Experience to be repeated to infinity.
Friendliness, kindness, excellent services and above all professionalism make this beautiful structure a place to come back to regenerate body and mind. The staff is always very courteous and available to satisfy all the client's requests and always with a smile, which is essential for a 5-star hotel that offers many alternatives. Structure very accurate, bright and with a fresh scent present in every environment.
The adjoining SPA offers a course of 5 sea water pools at various temperatures with a Kneipp course, various hydromassages and hydrobike. Beyond the pools we find emotional showers, saunas and a hammam. "Super" treatments carried out by super prepared and professional staff. I personally had the chance to try Andrea and Elisa's skills but obviously, listening to the confidences of other guests, the rest of the staff in the Spa is also good.
A thank you goes to all the staff present in the hotel and to the Gianpaolo Room Manager always available and attentive together with his staff to the individual needs.
Excellent structure managed with professionalism by the Director Gianmarco Nasti present at the hotel all day and always ready to talk to individual guests.
Returning in the summer months I will certainly be able to appreciate the equipped beach reserved for hotel guests and the outdoor swimming pool. Everything is always perfect. An infinite thank you.

I would say luxury and relaxation, after the asasmana, my wife took a taste for me and takes me around to try the wellness centers. Excellent cave even though I don't like getting massaged, my wife says it's worth it. Great

The hotel is tucked in a sleepy beach town. Make sure you don t have a connecting room to a baby because you can hear everything. I had to be moved due to the noise. One of my favorite spas with all the different pools. One of them even has music playing underwater.

Magical evening, romantic dinner with live music (pianist with exceptional repertoire of great songs) and then route the thalassotherapy spa (3 hours between pools, sauna, turkish bath and relaxation area). friendly and impeccable staff, the structure is equipped, spotlessly clean and elegant. At night the atmosphere in the caves is impressive. Could not ask for more, here we are at the top.

The structure is beautiful. The retro style reminded me of my holidays in Versilia when I was a child. Too bad for Wi-Fi, with little or no coverage.
The room I stayed in was very clean, quiet and extremely functional. The minibar drinks are free. Excellent floor service.
The thalassotherapy pools and SPA are the highlight of Tombolo. Being at the sea I preferred, except for the only day it rained incessantly, to take advantage of the beautiful beach. I have at my disposal an umbrella with two beds, a chair and a deck chair. Towels and pillows are provided free of charge. The establishment, recently renovated, is very elegant, very clean and above all quiet.
Catering: the breakfast buffet is very rich and of the highest standards. Dinner, with half board, included appetizer, first course, second course and dessert with a choice of five different options for each course (very abundant). The quality of the food is fair. From one day to the other there are obvious "recycles": if there is the sea bream among the latter, the next day there will be sea bream ravioli ... The staff is very kind and very professional.
Apart from a few small flaws, especially on the quality of the food, the Tombolo is a wonderful structure and I will certainly return there, perhaps with friends and by booking directly not through the agency. I recommend it to all those who like to stay in exclusive places.

A very nice spa, starting from the reception, very friendly. The structure consists of several seawater pools with some areas with hydromassage, hot-cold Kneipp path, water bike, small waterfalls, Turkish bath and sauna; the highlight is a pool of warmer water, very silent, illuminated by soft underwater lights, isolated from the main one and with soft music that can be appreciated only by diving. For an afternoon of true relaxation.

5 stars ??? let's not joke. Please ... barely three, dilapidated rooms and restaurant to forget together with the bill ... experience to forget ... maybe the place would also be nice but it needs something else .. .do not recommend it highly!

Spa and structure are certainly effective, but the rooms are uncomfortable and show too many years: a broken toilet, a shower with very little water, a blocked drain, etc. The staff is friendly but the catering in the full periods literally goes tilt. High potential but there would be many aspects to work on for a structure of this level.

Beautiful, noble resort with a wellness offer. Location right on the long sandy beach, ideal for long walks on the beach but also wonderful for an afternoon in a deck chair. The spa is large and very nicely decorated. The resort has everything you need, but there are also many restaurants in the small town all around for variety. The only thing is that there are no shopping opportunities in town.

High level of service for a reasonably high price. Nice sandy beach though some stinging seaweeds in the water like nettle (may be quite a problem for kids while not a big issue for adults). Very nice wellness and spa area with a good variety of treatments provided. Small kids club - nothing too exiting, just to leave kids for a couple of hours if necessary.

Third time at Tombolo Talasso Resort in less than a year .. my paradise .. now my staple in a life around the world. When I cross the entrance gate, the whole world stays outside. Because this is the feeling you get from when you arrive.
You receive a welcome as soon as you pass the revolving door and your gaze is lost beyond the window to the sea, with the Mediterranean scrub as a frame; the staff welcomes you with a sincere smile and every time it is as if you were returning home after a long journey. Each person in charge of the reception manages to associate professionalism with a cordial attitude. They are always ready to find a solution to every guest's request.
The SPA is always at the highest levels, both the thermal part with the 5 seawater pools, and the part of the treatments thanks to the skill of Cristina, Elisa, Andrea and all the others. From small details we understand the care they take every day to improve the comfort of customers.
At the hotel restaurant we find the room manager Gianpaolo with his staff, who pamper you by serving delicious and high quality food, excellently prepared by chef Gianluca. The food is excellent, refined and abundant, the wine list is well stocked, the service is always excellent and the level is always growing. Every detail is taken care of. This year I chose to celebrate my birthday in the structure by giving myself 4 days at the Tombolo and I could not have made a better choice. They made me the surprise of a cake prepared just for me, to make that day fabulous. Thank you very much, you were all special.
I thank the Director, Ginmarco Nasti, who wisely manages to manage a high-level structure with skill, dedication and attention to each individual guest. He is always present in the structure from morning to breakfast conversing with each customer, until the evening; and it is found every time a problem arises to solve it with style, ability and elegance.
In the evening, musicians and singers alternate giving emotions to every note; jazz, soul, unobtrusive music, indeed enveloping that brightens the refined atmosphere of the main room.
For those unfamiliar with it, the Tombolo is surrounded by greenery, with a pine forest behind it and the sea in front. The hotel is implementing a beach club on the beach to make the stay even more comfortable. It will be ready in July; in time for my next stay.
The only flaw I found? .... is that the holiday period in this paradise is always too short.

The property has an enviable position, it is located in front of the beach of Castagneto Carducci where the beach establishment has a small restaurant on the beach. The umbrellas are well spaced. The hotel structure instead suffers from a somewhat dated renovation. In particular the bathrooms and the furnishings of the rooms should be refreshed (the copriwc of ours was definitely age '). The service is excellent and fills all the gaps in the structure. Excellent the service of the wellness center, sin from the architectural pdv the similar effect cave that gives a feeling of false and unnatural.

The spa area is remarkable and suggestive ... the only big flaw is the restaurant! Absolutely not appreciable cuisine, cold appetizers from the refrigerator and not at all appetizing, first courses with low-level but low-level dishes, second courses totally left on the plate ... a structure of that level must have another type of cuisine ... breakfast, however, rich and tasty !

The atmosphere of this beautiful structure is always fascinating. I was the first time in the winter and I loved it. The Spa is a real highlight. The kindness and professionalism of the staff here and throughout the hotel are truly unique. The breakfast buffet is also very rich in this period. A real joy for the eyes. Friendly and professional staff on the beach. Thank you for the welcome upgrade in a splendid and comfortable suite.

Take room 266 only if you are tiny and thin. The bedroom is comparatively small, the shower box is ridiculously tiny. You can hardly enjoy the shower with its limited space. Meanwhile the service received from the waiters is way better than the captain at the restaurant. At least the waiters show out smiles. Apart from these, the hotel is good. The private beach is only couple of walks from the hotel, the service at the talasso is good, the fiorentina steak at the restaurant is average, the room is clean, the housekeeping service is good, the hotel is very close to the town centre, the parking is however a bit insufficient.

Lovely place and unique experience.
I am only sorry that on leaving I had difficulty obtaining the receipt. In fact I had to pay before using the services of the structure. At the request before leaving the reception lady told me that it was locked in a kind of safe, but after 15 minutes on the PC and a bit of technical difficulties she managed to print it. Too bad for this wait. I will definitely be back.
