Tierra del Sol Resort, Spa and Country Club Review

The service was extremely bad.
The food was bad too.
They make the view seem good but it isn t in real life.
The only decent thing was the French Fries.
Overall it was bad

Went here for a spa day. Beautiful and clean facility. Massage was amazing. Friendly staff. You also get use of the pool, steam room and jacuzzi when you book a spa treatment which was really nice. Definitely a relaxing experience.

Fun course, but the $55 Cobra rental clubs are an absolute joke. $220 bucks to play a Trent Jones course and you're given these clubs? This course should be embarrassed! The physical cavity backs were MISSING on multiple irons (never have seen that in my life). The 3 wood had a quarter sized dent in the top, grips were awful and the wedges looked like someone was using them to hit rocks around a stoneyard. Would love to be able to post a picture of them with my review.

This is a great course! It plays difficult due to the wind but has wide fairways and sticky greens. I recommend starting early so you can finish before it gets too hot. We played 18 with carts and finished in 4h 30m. The breakfast burrito on at the snack shack after the 9th hole is amazing!

We have had quite a few dinners there the food is great and its priced well but not a lot of people know about it

The service was awful. Had to tell the waiter constantly to pour our wine which took 20 mins to get to us, and upon pouring stopped short of filling all our glasses.. My wives salmon was raw, and it wasn't sushi. The whole menu has changed...it's more of a steak house that what it was before....I won't even mention the cat begging at our table..We have been coming to Aruba twice a year for a very long time and have always made Tierra del Sol one of our places to dine, well sadly this is the last time we come here...Our party is always at least 8 people.

This is a challenging course that's fun to play. With strong, steady winds, the shots can be difficult.

Good layout but not in best of shape this time. Staff not very attentive at golf course. Staff at pool bar was engaging.

My husband and I chose Tierra Del Sol for our destination wedding, October of 2019. With Emilio we designed a very intimate experience with only about 30 guests in attendance. Our guests were very happy and boasted about how wonderful the staff was that took care of us that evening, the delicious food(that even accommodated some dietary restrictions) and, of coarse, the atmosphere was ABSOLUTELY beautiful. We were able to put together the best wedding planning team-- thanks to Emilio's recommendations.

Beautiful resort. Right from the start, you are treated so elegantly.

Now going to a golf-course is the last place you would think you would get awesome food right? Wrong!
Tierra del Sol stands out with their juicy burgers and delicious pastas and excellent quality wines. Of course there are more to choose from the menu but we can only review what we had. And from what we had, we enjoyed to the last bite! We will be back to soak in the surroundings and eat some more!

The place is very nice, maybe something expensive but if you want to spend a very pleasant time with someone is the right place

Nice resort but the construction is not of the best quality and gives a lot of problems. Nice situated near the coast and hotels.

I visited the place for a social event, if the food that was served is a representaion of what the restaurant serves, then it is verryy promising. Pasta done just right, tender pork and tender beef. Very well done, ladies and gents!

The restaurant at Tierra del Sol is not just for golfers. The food and the views are incredible for anyone to enjoy. The food and service is wonderful.

Play the wind with 3 extra clubs.
Don't play the wind to move your ball play it to knock down your shot like it was on a parachute.

Only golf course on the island. Condos & residencies are beautiful. Immaculately maintained property. Conveniently located, near lighthouse and beaches. Friendly, courteous staff. Wonderful views! Small, nice pool, great for relaxing & cooling off.

Lovely place to go for lunch. Sit outside and enjoy the view over the golf course and the sea. Also not quite as overpriced as most of the other restaurants in the north of the island.

Changed menu to all you can eat tapas. Great idea. Horrible execution. Food was excellent. Service was very poor. You can only order 1 plate at a time and they come very very slowly. Not a cheap place. Not worth the price or frustration.

I love the place, for me the perfect spot to relax.

Well, there was a PGA sponsored event. I call the day before to call confirm if I can use the range. They said yes after 1 pm. The day of I called to confirm again. This time they said the pros are still on the range and to come after 4 pm. Sun sets around 6ish. Also, reading reviews on other sites stated that the course is in bad shape. Hopefully, the beautiful island country of Aruba takes golf a little more seriously since most of there GDP is from tourism.

Very well maintained golf course in a great location. The adjacent condominium is spacious and has houses of all price ranges, a part is rented as apartments. Golfers can buy all the equipment in the shop.

A beautiful and well maintained condominium, surrounded by charming houses and villas. Unfortunately, they do not perform selective garbage collection, nor do they have a composting program for the production of natural fertilizer. With so much green area, they could produce some seedlings of plants and vegetables for the locals. As a resident, I miss more green initiatives. Stay as a tip!

Tough course made tougher by poor upkeep and bad conditions. Not worth the price that you have to pay to play a round at this course. If they are going to charge high end prices they need to have much better course conditions.

We booked a very nice villa with a private pool. Is absolutely recommendable.

We had our wedding reception at Tierra Del Sol and couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. We are not from the island and did not have a "formal" wedding coordinator; we thought we were taking a risk with that, however, Emilio and his staff not only met our expectations - they went above and beyond by paying attention to details we forgot to think about. Our guests were very impressed - the grounds are STUNNING for private event. We returned to Tierra for a post wedding celebratory dinner and we once again were astounded with what we received. Upon entering the restaurant, they greeted us by our names and gave us the most adorable table on the patio. Everything was phenomenal from the ambiance, service and food. The presentation of the plates were on par with any high end NYC restaurant. We could not complain about anything we ordered. I (an avid foodie and risk taker with cuisine) and my husband (a little more picky/conservative pallet) loved the angel hair bacon -truffle morel pasta. We highly recommend taking a trip off the beaten path and trying them out. The menu is not extensive but it is QUALITY. My husband had the Chilean sea bass; I had the surf and turf; for dessert we had the crispy apple pie- definitely reccomend all three dishes. Our only complaint is that we cannot experience Tierra again until our return trip to Aruba.
