One of the most unprofessional, unreliable and inexperienced companies out there. They simply cannot keep a simply schedule for maintenance and let alone repairs. Our condo had a number of issues with the Elevators and it took Thyssen six months to even provide feedback as to what was required to be done. The only response they can ever give is that there are parts required for which they can't get access to. I don't even want to begin with their technicians on site as they are a true reflection of the failure this company is. I genuinely hope that there is a shake up in leadership for this company and everything is re-done because as of right now, they are headed the opposite way in providing service. If you are reading this review to know if you should go with this company for maintenance of your elevator or building, save yourself a headache and go with anyone else which will be much more reliable.
Having now lived in a condo building serviced by Thyssen for over a year now, I can confidently say that their servicing is unreliable and inconsistent. It s unbelievably frustrating at this point to be at the mercy of an elevator company when you re 20+ stories in the air, pregnant with a toddler and happen to be also battling a cold. Get your act together. Have parts already waiting.
It took them 2 months to come and fix and elevator in my building (295 Adelaide St W). A high end building in downtown has 2 elevators broken, 1 elevator is servicing 30 floors. It took so many threats from management to get them to escalate the issue and send crews to fix it. I think Boeing builds airplanes in 15 days. There is absolutely no accountability in the Toronto Office. There is absolutely no reason that someone at the company does not lose a job because of this. It takes 20-30 mins to go up or down. Not to mention, its a health hazard in case of emergencies.
