Thrive communities, inc. Review

In April 2021 we rented an apartment site-unseen in Clackamas. We were told we couldn't see it in advance, but that "it looks just like the website photos." What a joke! The apartment is in terrible shape. Everything is falling apart. The closet doors are dangerous and inoperable and fall right off the tracks. That's just the beginning of the list. Management doesn't respond. Thrive Communities posts their phone number on their website, but does not answer! We signed a one-year lease so we're stuck in this ghetto.

You can't find a better company that takes care of their communities and residents better than Thrive does.

Anytime I have a question or maintenance issue the office staff and crew are swift to respond and make sure the issue is resolved properly and to my satisfaction!

We absolutely love living at The Flats at Interbay! As a resident in the past year, the office & maintenance staff remained consistent in valuing tenants by being extremely helpful, professional with the friendliest demeanor and quick results. Thank you Sean, Steven, Gabby, Kristin and Avery for always going above and beyond! :)

Had to move out of condo so rented a place for a few months at The Joseph Arnold Lofts. The front desk people were nice enough, but one of the two elevators was broken for most of my stay and several times both were.
The utilities were outrageously expensive and "allocated" and collected by Thrive - and my condo is a block away so I know how much these things really cost.
The kitchen and bathroom were cosmetically fine but the functional equivalent of a Betty Crocker stove, a fridge from a broken down RV, and a Motel 6 bath suite.
Also, we signed a contract that included access to the gym, the roof deck with barbecues, and several other amenities. Even before the pandemic many of them were down for days or weeks for "maintenance" with nothing actually being done, other than cost cutting. Once the pandemic hit, everything was shut down right away, including the roof deck. No doubt Thrive was taking tax breaks and SBA loans but did the tenants, who were also paying for those amenities, see any return? Of course not.
Oh yes, in the 6 short months we were there, the bill changed several times, our final statement had random charges and corrections with no explanations and I'm pretty sure the accounting team watched the wrong Quicken video on YouTube.
In short, if you are staying at a Thrive property, you won't be thriving for long.

The community I live in is supposedly drug free. However, a resident heavily smokes marijuana that comes into my apartment and lingers for hours on end. I was promised a new unit by the on-site manager twice but even after I confirmed I wanted the unit, she gave it away. I had another housing option that I turned down based on the promise I could move to a new unit in my current community, only for the rug to be pulled out from under me. While I love the building, I can t say that I have loved my experience. I ve had to vacate my own unit in several occasions because of the drug fumes and as a new mother, not only is this a health issue for my child, we re in the middle of a pandemic. Securing a new place is difficult which is why I was delighted there was a new unit we could move to. The answer just gave it to someone else after promising it to me and now my only option is to once again go on a home search. This has been a terrible experience and not one I will recommend to anyone else.

We are a longtime Thrive Communities' vendor and love working with them. They are a company run by talented, ethical people who are fun to work with. Their communities are clean, nice and updated. We appreciate their focus on quality and safety, and recommend Thrive Communities highly!
