I was so thrilled to learn about this place from my friend. Sometimes I make my own bone broth but it takes so much work and it's so time consuming. It's so nice to be able to show up and buy it here, even though it's expensive. I feel that way about pate too. I bought their chicken pate which was delicious and also doesn't contain all the things that I don't want in it like milk or cream. I wish it was closer but conveniently it is close to Bart which is great from a public transit perspective.

Delicious, healthy, traditional foods prepared in a Community Supported Kitchen promoting zero waste and plastic-free packaging. Most foods are sold in returnable mason jars that the company collects back, sanitizes, and refills.

Just visited Three Stone Hearth on Saturday and what an amazing experience. Lovely people, delicious healthy foods and impeccably clean and organzied environment. Love their store, their philosophy and everything they are doing for the environment and for the people in the Bay Area. THANK YOU JENNIFER PRENTICE!

I first did a class with Jessica Prentice here and then decided to work here back in 2015-2016. The food was great and it also opened up my eyes to what good food could be and taste like. I met some other people with those ideals as well and it was nice to chat and hang out with them and see their creations at their home as well. Thanks for keeping the Three Stone Hearth warm and nourishing.

This place is a gem in the Bay Area. I have been buying food from Three Stone Hearth for years. Three Stone has expand its open hours so it is relatively easy to pick up your food. There are also deliveries made to San Francisco for those who can't get over to Berkeley. The quality of their sources for vegetables and meats is the best. It's the best.

Health food store for the Berkeley 1%-ers.

Health food store for the Berkeley 1%-ers.

Food is bland and incredibly expensive. Employees somewhat snooty, kind of making you feel like saving you and the planet while promoting foods loaded with animal protein, with very few healthy, vegetarian or vegan options.
Nuisance to return jars and parking can be chaotic when the rich descends from the hills.
Would be 3 stars if food tasted better.

So disappointed that they don t sell the Living Vision chocolate espresso chip cookies any more. I know that shouldn t be the highlight of my trip to a health food store, but I can t eat most of their featured products for dietary reasons. When I used to buy their food in jars, I had extreme difficulty opening them - I guess they put the food in when it was hot, then as it cooled in the freezer or fridge, the suction was became very tight. I even started asking them to crack open the bottles after I paid because I couldn t quite get the jar opening devices around the top, and have a small hand so couldn t twist the top off on my own, and also was afraid that I would harm myself trying to pry off the lid. Sad to say, it became too risky for me, on top of the aforementioned food restrictions. I like the packaged broth ingredients that they sell, and everyone is very kind there.

I come to Three Stone Hearth when I don't have the time to cook super nourishing food. This place is the bomb! Bone broth, green drinks, stews, kale chips, almond milk, granola, desserts and even skin care. Their stuff is organic, free range, and as locally sourced as possible. Bought some soups for an ailing family member, and feeling good that they will heal up more quickly w the love from Three Stone Hearth.

I always love getting food from here! Everything I've gotten has been delicious, the store smells AMAZING, and everybody is very, very helpful. I order ahead online and pick up in store since I live forever away, and sometimes I'll get something extra while I'm there since they have whatever they didn't sell out of ahead of time in the front area as well. The samples are great too - I got to try their whey sports drink that I was on the fence about, and it was SO TASTY. When I go back to the gym after my upcoming surgery, I'm going to start buying it!

I cannot recommend this place enough. I can't afford to buy from here nearly as often as I'd like, but occasionally I splurge when I can. If you can afford the cost of GOOD ingredients, treat yourself to amazingly tasty AND healthy food!
