Right as we walked in the door, the chef ran in and started yelling at us. He said we could not sit together and had to each sit at separate tables. He believed that he had put that on the reservation, but it was nowhere to be found. The waiter was nice, but the food was nutritious. There was no flavor on my 8 ounce $70 dollar stake. This place is completely overpriced and I left feeling like I had been robbed. When I looked at the drinks on the menu I noticed the root beer was $20. The soda was about $15. This is just sad. It took about 45 minutes for my food to come. It took about 30 minutes to pour 1 drink. I could not talk to my friends because we were each at separate tables, and had a huge black board in front of our faces, blocking our view of each other. The Mac n cheese was an great example of failure. The chef would probably burn water and call it a $70 steak. Which is a likely conspiracy. Never reat hear if your reading this. I could honestly roam around and find a well of dirty water and quench my thirst before this restaurant could pour a drink. If I m doing one right thing in life, it is leaving a 1 star review to this overpriced terrible restaurant.

We came here the last weekend in June to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful experience! Our waiter was very friendly along with the rest of the staff, and the service was exceptional! The steaks and everything we ordered was done More

Easily one of the best places to eat in Steamboat.

I had a wonderful, memorable dinner with my parents here about two weeks ago. Great selection of very fresh oysters. Everything we had was great. Very nice and personable staff, and it was a pleasure chatting with the owner as well.

I've also been here many times pre-CoViD, and the food has always been consistently excellent.

NOBODY likes CoViD and the business and entertainment realities it created -- not patrons, and certainly not business owners. That said, I think Three Peaks is doing a pretty good job considering the situation. I'm personally concerned about the pandemic to the extent that I, unfortunately, hardly eat out like I used to. However, I must say that Three Peaks' spacious facility with high, vaulted ceilings is particularly well suited to indoor dining in this context. I felt comfortable, and I think there was very good separation between dining parties to an extent probably not possible in most restaurants. Even if you're not worried about CoViD, I think you will still appreciate the more private feel to the dining experience. From the patron's perspective, the CoViD annoyance factor was pretty low. You wear a mask for like a minute when you walk in, and then when the dinner starts, you can almost forget about the last year.

We expected a better experience for the money. Food was bland with little no flavor and came out extremely slow for an empty restaurant .Our waiter was checked out. I had to get up and request another drink from the bar. I hate to see a legendary restaurant go down hill after being established for so long in Steamboat. Hope they can get it together.

The food was amazing, steaks were cooked to perfection! Fresh oysters were awesome! We were in steamboat all weekend and the place gave us the best and most personable service in the area. Alex the waiter is the bomb dot com!

We had a very unpleasant experience. The food was bland, and over priced. Calamari was hard and rubbery, crab cake was dry. Everything tasted like it sat in the window for 10 minutes before it came out. And somehow at the end of it all, our $78 tab, with added gratuity came to $108. They add 40% tip? Unacceptable.

With Covid stuff going on, I have to say, the staff made the experience. Saturday night at 8:30, which is normally a decent time to grab dinner, everywhere seemed to be closing early. We are not from town, so didn't know. I thought FOR SURE we'd get treated fairly poorly because we were the only ones that just showed up and I'm sure the staff wanted to get out of there after their other tables were done. We had a gal waitress-- wish I recalled her name, but dark hair, very kind. She was professional the whole night, made great recommendations and super attentive. The surrounding staff, like another waiter and then who I guess, maybe a manager or another cook? Simply in passing, were so kind and welcoming. TOTALLY impressed and so glad we came.
The food was great as well. Hubby had hamburger, I had the shrimp pasta- they did a fab job. Drinks were served quickly, I just couldn't have asked for more during all this weirdness. We were treated kinda snotty at some other restaurants, so we are super glad we chose this place for dinner.

As soon as we walked in the door the chef started verbally abusing us with his words yelling at us to separate and leave your friends behind. He told us he was the owner of the restaurant and he was clearly unstable trying to kick us out. The food was a great example of what I could eat off the bottom of my shoe. And I could still get a better price for the food off my shoe. The food on the bottom of the shoe is free just keep that in mind, not 70 bucks like the steak I ate or so they say. The waiter was very nice but the business was abysmal. Never eat at this place unless you are willing to take the chance of feeling robbed on and empty stomach. If I could do one thing to help this business it would be to close it down and through it in a fire. I ll have to say all the employees are good just as long as it doesn t include the chef/owner. I m giving this restaurant a 1 star review, which is generous because it the lowest you can give.

Very delicious. The duck was tender and cooked to perfection. The staff and our waitress were extremely welcoming. Food was well presented and had a lot of flavor. Would definitely come back again.
