History
The Thomas Memorial Library was established in 1928 as a tribute to Captain Henry Blanchard Thomas who was a prominent figure in Cape Elizabeth's history. The library started with just 1 room but has since expanded into a modern facility with over 30 thousand items available for borrowing.
Collections
Our collections are diverse and extensive. We have books on various subjects such as history, science fiction/fantasy novels; biographies; cookbooks; travel guides; children's literature among others. Our non-fiction section covers topics ranging from politics & economics to health & wellness.
We also have an impressive collection of audiobooks which are perfect for those who prefer listening rather than reading. Additionally we offer DVDs which include popular movies as well as documentaries on various subjects such as nature or history.
Services
