For the price, I was expecting more.children activities. Also during my visit, the museum closed 1 hour earlier due to a private event. Kind of a downer since we arrived 2 hours before it closed. Too late to turn around.
You get two dollars off for military discount, however for some reason they charged me two dollars more instead. It was a clerical error and they charged me the correct amount after I asked the clerk to check her math.

Lots of wonderful gadgets and doohickeys for little scientific minds. This place has lots to do, even some things that are fun for teens and adults. I just wish there were more advanced activities to do.

Great place for the kids. We went with the whole family and spent hours here. Use the parking structure around the corner for cheap parking. Tasty food nearby at the fried chicken place.

I found it a very entertaining place for children and adults, there are many things you learn about our planet, and there is also space for babies to play, it is very adapted for all types of ages! I loved it, I highly recommend it !!!

Great place to stimulate your child's brain and to have all around fun. You can bring your own snack/lunch for a break in between all the fun. Bonus: parking validation for a limited time and there's a playground right across the street for a bit more fun.

Love it!!! Indoor activities, friendly & helpful staff, plenty to do.

We started bringing our daughter at 6 months, so much to do.

If inside is not enough, across the street has a playscape and a duck pond with plenty of field to run.

Very cool place to take your kids. A little pricey. I love that the whole building is kid proof so you can just let them run free and not worry. Several great options for every member of the family. They have lockers they you can rent as well as family bathrooms, nursing rooms, stroller stations with diaper bag hooks, a gift shop, and vending machines. Prepare to get wet and possibly messy. It has always bothered me that there is no system to make sure that no one takes the wrong child home, I feel like a place this big with this many people coming and going should. The parking sucks so be prepared, there is a parking garage. Wonderful place to learn and have a great time.

Great place for kids, but it is far too small for this growing city of Austin. It is often super busy, and I can t understand why they didn t make a bigger building. They do have many fun projects and offerings that we ve enjoyed, such as the gingerbread house making and Halloween themed night.

This place is so much fun for all ages! Highly recommend it for people visiting from out of town with kiddos, as well as our local friends! The exhibits change every quarter (I think?) So there is always something new to discover!

This is a really cool place for children. If you have a little baby below the age of 6 months there isn't much for the babies to do besides look at stuff. Our daughter enjoyed all of the colors and got a little overwhelmed. I can't wait for her to get a little bigger to enjoy all of the activities.

Always a fun time at the Thinkery. We like their new exhibits (water) and old ones (marketplace). The events are great too. Recently we did a lego event, and they Parents Night Out where they watch your kid (have , exhibits, play games) while you have a date night.

I brought my two children here twice while we were visiting Austin and it was a highlight of our trip. Every exhibit caught their attention and gave them something new to explore. There s no food here but we walked a few minutes and had lunch at a cafe. With the park across the street you can make a whole day of it.

I frequently take a kiddo I nanny for and he loves this place! There are so many different activities for children to do and we rarely get to everything on our visits. It's a great place for entertainment and learning for children; and sometimes adults too!

Went to baby bloomers with my son and he loved it. They had story time where they also included a little sign language with the songs. Had a little farmers market with play fruits and mini kitchen to "cook". The staff was super nice and interacted with the little ones. Perfect for children 3 and under. After 10 am general admission is open.

I met Bryn at this amazing google event and I had the most fabulous time ever. The DJ was quite incredible and I am just going to make sure that Bryn read this bc she said she reads these things called posts. Please make sure I am aware of the next bestest and greatest event :) btw I love that you are a native Texan. And the world is too small. Tx tennis!!!!

It s a great place for kids all the way from 6 months to 12 years. Water play area. Toddler gym. Light sensory room. More gears and Newtonian physics exhibits than I can name.

Definitely worth a trip.

It s pricey for a large family ($12 per adult and child, under 2 free)

great place for younger kids to learn and play; we come here whenever we come to Austin; note that they are closed on Mondays (check their hours before coming); there is a parking garage behind the complex; Thinkery also participates in the ASTC program, so if you have museum membership somewhere else, you might be able to get free entry!

My 9 month old had so much fun here. We were afraid it wasn't going to be good for babies but it was wonderful. He was entranced by the water section and there are a few specific baby areas.

My kids were only 3 & 4 yrs. old when I took them & they had a blast & there was so much for them to do. Now that they are 6 & 7 yrs. old I'm sure they will have an even better time. :) Will try to return again soon in 2018.

Took my daughter here while we went to Austin for an overnight getaway. My daughter LOVED it. They have so many things to see and do. She got to paint on a glass wall, played in the water area (loved that they provided smoaks for both of those), listened to a story, watched a shadow puppet show, and made some of her own shadow puppets with the provided stencils. My daughter especially loved the little market/kitchen up stairs. She "cooked" me the best meal. Staff was great about constantly restocking the plastic fruit, veggies, eggs, and meat, so kids had something to play with. Afterwards, we went outside so my daughter could play on the rope structure.

The only thing I wish this place had is a restaurant. We started to get hungry, but the museum only had a vending machines. The vending machines do take credit card. They are also full of many healthy options and a couple not so healthy options. If you get hungry, you will have to leave to get food at one of the local restaurants in the area. The museum will let you come back in without charging you again. There are plenty of options for restaurants as they surround the museum.

Overall, definitely a place I want to take my daughter again. It was so much fun watching her face light up while also learning.

Awesome hands on place for the kids. They have a blast with all the interactive exhibits. My son love the tech take apart area and my daughter loves the painting wall. There are so many areas to keep the kids busy and active. The playground next door is also amazing. Membership is very reasonable for the year and well worth it.

This place is super awesome. It the ultimate museum for children and even adults have a little fun. There on hands lab are a little pricey and they make at least 1 parent pay the price as well. So remember if you pay you might as well do the experiment with your kiddo

Kids will love this place. Lots of activities for the kids. They have both outdoor and indoor options. For Bank of America card holder, the first Sunday of every month is free. We have annual membership from Thinkery and it is totally worth if you have kids!
