Nice cinema house location with performances that appeal.

Very atmospheric and pleasant ambiance with a nice variety of films and / or theater performances

Very bad experience! We thought it was a nice night out for two. We came in last. Room (smaller than my living room) turned out to be fully booked except for two places, which were spread over the room. It's not our idea to have a nice evening out together. So knocked on the counter, where I asked for a solution. We would have liked to see the same movie at a different time. One, two or three weeks later or so. Or another film of our choice at a different time. But none of that was possible. Later that same evening we could watch some Arab movie (sorry, but we really didn't feel like it) or a dark movie with a lot of violence (also not nice in the context of a nice night out). Money (partly) back was not an option, according to the official at the cash register. A voucher for (part of) the amount was also not negotiable. The conclusion was 'too bad, money away, find it out'. It is a pity, because we were really looking forward to getting to know this cinema. It looked nice at first. But we're really never going to come back here. That we are the last to sit in the hall (sorry, the restaurant was a little late with dessert) and that there are no two places next to each other, that can apparently happen in this cinema and that has been a problem. We didn't know that because it was our first visit. But how you deal with that at the cash register ... you expect such an attitude from the tax authorities, but not from a 'movie theater'. In other words, not enough for the bureaucratic centometer behind the cash register! Boy, it's really not that difficult to save the situation for both parties. But some empathy and flexibility on your part would be helpful. We might have come back on a quiet weekday evening. Thanks to you, one star is still too much, but I didn't think you can give zero stars here for a review, did you?

Watched a play of my brother. Small (cinema) halls. The atmosphere is very pleasant due to the small spaces.

Nice theater, pub is a little less cozy. For a drink I go to the city cafe Amersfoort. It is located on the same square and is highly recommended

Great to watch a movie now and then and enjoy a drink

Been to the movies: The Beenjes van Sint Hildegard. In this corona time (maximum 30 people per performance, 1.5 m distance) well organized: health questions, disinfecting hands, walking directions. Not a moment of uncertainty. And: enjoyed the movie.

Cafe where we only sat on the terrace, but this was very cozy and totally top in combination with the South American festival that was there. Definitely recommended to go again!

Good atmosphere and service, only drawback is that they open the theatre just before the show starts causing a line of people waiting to get in through the cafe

Beautiful square with nice terraces. Tower beautifully illuminated. Very cozy.

Cozy cinema. Adequate beer selection on tap and bottle. One of the most beautiful locations in Amersfoort terrace. Film selection could, however, be better. Since the program has come under EuropeCinemas, there are only a few films worth. But for their own, typically Amersfoort atmosphere still 4 stars.

Many pleasant entertainment venues, bars, restaurants. In July Dias Latinos festival with live bands. All over the city, Latin music for a whole weekend. Very cozy and busy.
Every May there is a jazz festival here.
Furthermore, various other activities.

I love watching movies here! "De Lieve Vrouw" presents the good kind of films: The independent ones from all over the world and the ones nominated for the Oscars.
The films are oriented to a different audience. The audience that goes to the movies because of quality, not to eat pop-corn and make noise.
The cinema is quiet. It is clean and cozy. No food smell or pop-corn noise. Volunteers are always helping here and I am thankful.
I agree with some reviewers about the phone calls' or waiters' service. It seems like the people on the phone do not like to speak English and some young waiters can be rude (girls and boys).
But it depends on the individual and not on the cinema. Therefore, it is good for the direction to read our reviews. Perhaps during their meetings they could discuss about "Customer service".

The offer is very good! Not all rooms are equally nice unfortunately.

Accessibility is disastrous due to the Amersfoort parking policy (+30 min. Minimum) However, this Film Theater cannot do much about this!

Ok, due to unexpected circumstances we arrived 2 minutes past the starting time, after half an hour cycling against the wind. Any understanding of the cashier? No, we did NOT enter it anymore. I have not come across such a sample of customer unfriendliness for a long time. In a word: LACKLESS!
For the time being ff no OLV anymore ....

It's a very nice place to be. It's a mess to eat something, to watch a theater show and there's always a nice movie. A beautiful place to meet people.

Film theater at a beautiful historic location in Amersfoort. Great for coffee and drinks around film. For dinner around the film you have to be at the neighbors on the square.

I went to a nice modern dance performance. It was beautiful and everyone gets their own ideas.

Great movie theater that I have been looking for for 20 years; of the week at the box office little friendly helped because the cashier after waiting 5 minutes her private phone call but could hardly end; after the film a drink where the glass of white wine was poured very scantily. The assignment of the case I received as a comment. Too bad does not work well!

Nice little movie / theater in the heart of Amersfoort.

You're really out here. The cinema, not to mention the terrace, is located in a pleasant square. Before and after the film you can eat excellent apple pie here (we found it coming straight out of the oven). Also a savory snack is well taken care of.
The atmosphere is good and all cinemas are easily accessible with the wheelchair. Moreover, the employees are always ready for you.

Cozy cozy cafe. Sweet cinema and theater halls. The coffee and drinks are good and you can take them into the room. If you need a good art-house movie then you've come to the right place. I often come here with a group of friends. Or if I want to grab a good movie with my mother.

Do not sit in the theater for a movie of three hours ..... The chairs are definitely not suited for that. A theater performance of 1.5 hours is already a challenge, but at least you have a break. The film was programmed in the canals hall but is opposed to the theater. I know the reason, but if that is to sell more tickets, I find it outrageous.

This is a nice place, combining a bar, lounge and concert hall. It gives a very pleasant atmosphere where people can interact with each other before the show or during the break. It's a cultural place made for sharing.
