The Yard Theatre was a great pub restaurant. A place for any ale conesuer as the have the brands labelled with their alcohol content. Very nice indeed. They serve pizza and salad which were made fresh. There is a large outside seating area next to the canal, so it gets packed on the beautiful days. You should definitely take your crew there for a drink up!

Saw an incredible show here by drag king troupe PECS. The stage space was unique and really worked in the shows favour as I think it could for many others. There's a nice little cafe/bar with food and drinks and an outside area too. Could do with a bit more seating though.

Great events/lineup but the venue just isn't up to scratch. Slow entry (queued for 30 minutes outside despite being on guestlist and venue not being at capacity once we entered), queued for 30 minutes at the bar before leaving unserved in frustration, as the girl serving purposely started ignoring us in favour of other patrons. They had three people serving behind a bar not set up to handle the busy May bank holiday weekend. Three deep crowd behind me as we left. They're probably still waiting for their drinks now.

Off-west end theatre that punches above its weight. With several big shows a year, plus an annual festival with a number of shows per week, The Yard showcases some of the best new writing in the UK. An innovative, recycled building, it also has a bar with rotating pop-up food options and club nights.

This is a lovely little indie theatre, a stone's throw from Hackney Wick overground. The staff were super friendly and good at offering advice re food and drink. There is a small menu which was full of tasty options. Will certainly keep my eye out for future theatre listings. Would be very happy to go back.

This space is great for small events but if it's lit then you spend the night struggling for fresh air or space to dance. It's perfect for community nights and most nights that I have been to here (and it's neighbours) really respect people's safety, anonymity re photography, and identities, which I think is a reflection of the space.

You wouldn't think much of The Yard at first glance - tucked into a cul-de-sac in the industrial side of Hackney, with its plain furnishings and simple bar - but this curious venue turns out a real diamond in the rough. It features diverse, thoughtful productions, a varied crowd, energetic vibe and a solid bar offering. I've always enjoyed my visits to The Yard and I'm very glad to have it on my doorstep.

The Yard Theatre and their Production Team are exquisitely resourceful and helpful. For me it represents the beginning of new projects and ideas. What I most like about this venue is that you feel that you are not buying a formula already set up like in most "corporate environment" but you can interact and rehearse, change and grow as a person. Watching the Theatre called Life in The Yard is a relaxing and rewarding process Looking forward to come back again

A theatre, a bar, a club, a community staple...gotta love The Yard. Interesting productions in the theatre, not so niche that you feel excluded, yet miles away from the estanlished highbrow venues. The bar is always a great place for a drink (or ten) on a weekend, and after 11 PM there is usually dancing - music is consistently good and the crowd very friendly, definitely a place to let your hair down, it's like partying in your own living room (minus the cleaning the morning after).
Of course, don't expect luxury or even comfort- the bathrooms are dreadful and it can be chilly in winter. But if you get in the spirit, it's a little gem

Basically not even a carwash. They refused to wash my car it was very confusing. Don't understand. The man was nice but he doesn't have a hose? I said "How do you wash a car then?" and he said "I'm sorry this isn't a carwash" and I said "You're right there mate I've never seen such a sorry excuse for a carwash in all my life my god how am I going to get all this muck off of my car now?" and he said "It doesn't look that dirty" and I said "That's not my car" and he said "Which one is yours then?" and I said "That one over there" and I pointed to it so he could see where my car was and he said "The red one?" and I said "Lol that's a bus you numpty" and he said "No the red car next to the bus" and then we both went to sleep. When I awoke the trees were all gone.

From what I could tell, it was just a small room with a small bar. We came here for a DJ show, but the crowd was light and unenthusiastic, the drinks were okay (especially compared to the craft bars all around it) and I was generally bored.

Great venue for performances and up and coming talent. Although once inside, when the performance starts your not permitted to go out. Overall nice evening, our grandaughter did exceptionally well!

I attended few parties in there always really fun night. The crew is joyful and the music is very good and often they book nice artist that you would never expect to play in such a warehouse in hackneywick. They also have a theatre and a nice beer! Worth to try!
