I was there for a wedding event. The hotel's pretty nice and the suite my friend had had a great view. The only problem is that it was super hot when we had 20 plus people in that suite for a photo shoot

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Absolutely wonderful experience. Excellent customer service. Great location. Beautiful views and a romantic place if you're with your significant other. If you're down for a little karaoke there's a karaoke bar a few blocks away call Brando's. Visit there and you have good drinks and a fun time. And there's a theater close by, right down the street. Very nice. I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to visit again. Oh and they give you the best fresh baked cookies.

Went to the rooftop bar on the 27th floor. Super nice and classy. Drinks were expensive, but nothing crazy and we're consistent with other nice bars in the area. Highly recommend visiting at least once, will definitely be back again!

Last weekend I plunged down the wall of the Witt Hotel in efforts to create awareness for Respiratory Health Association. I love that this Hotel helps with the community, awareness and truly cares about Chicago's breath! After I had late lunch on the Roof - spectacular views whether you're scaling down a wall or looking over the city from the Roof Bar and Grill. Such an open air hip space and great bites! Try the pizza!

We travel a lot, and have stayed at a lot of hotels. theWit Chicago is absolutely the BEST stay we have ever had! Chris, the Guest Relations Manager, contacted us well ahead of our trip to inquire if there was anything he could do to help make our stay better. We corresponded with him and he helped us better plan our trip. We arrived early on a Saturday, and while there was a room available, Chris suggested we wait until later to check in as there would be a better room for us if we could wait. Jesus, a front bellman, took care of our bags so we could explore the city while we waited for our room. We received a text to let us know when our room was ready, and found a lovely surprise in the room for our daughter when we got there. The room was absolutely perfect! We are picky, and this room exceeded our expectations. It was clean, in excellent repair, and even the sofa bed was comfortable according to our daughter. To make our stay at theWit even better, Patrick, the concierge, provided us with all sorts of information on Chicago history and places to visit. If you want to know more about Chicago, stop in and ask Patrick. His stories were fun to listen to and he had great information on places to visit and how to get around. Seriously, stop by the concierge desk and strike up a conversation with Patrick - you won't regret it! Everyone went out of their way to make us, especially our 7 year old, feel like VIPs. Even Jackie, the housekeeper, went out of her way to talk to our daughter and make her feel special. The hotel was spectacular. The location is awesome and easy to get to on CTA. But it's the staff at theWit that makes it truly special. We will be sure to come back to Chicago, and we will definitely be staying here again.

Modern, stylish boutique-esque hotel located in the heart of the theater district, steps from great shopping on State Street. Rooms are spacious and clean, with a mini kitchenette with dorm fridge, microwave, and sink. Great views of the city from floor to ceiling window. Relatively quiet considering proximity to busy State Street and L tracks. Will definitely be back!

Staying at theWit was great! The room was clean and the staff were very attentive. Only negative is that their rooftop bar leads to lives at night and you basically get interrogated by several staff whole trying to head to your room.

Beautiful rooms, superb service and friendly staff. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting Chicago. The location of this hotel is fantastic for shopping and it's not far from Millennium Park either. The amenities at theWit are spectacular, you must check out the spa!

My stay at theWit hotel, was mediocre. Nothing special, nothing fancy. The man at the front desk seemed annoyed. I stayed on a Friday night, and the line to get to the roof top club blocked the elevator entrance for guests, not enjoyable.

Such a great hotel located centrally in the loop. The rooftop bar is amazing, and there is a great restaurant attached to the hotel. The decor is great and very "NYC feeling." I recommend this hotel for a stay-cation or for anyone visiting the city and looking for a hip vibe.

Great customer service. The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive. While we were waiting in line we heard the staff member struggle with his Spanish but the effort to make the customer feel welcomed was so There. Even though Spanish was not his first language he really went out of his way to help the customer.

Im always checking reviews and doing research before staying at a new hotel. We booked one night at the wit with the king Jr spa suite. The service was exceptional from the minute we arrived. At both arrival and departure we had TJ as our bellman, he was very prompt and extremely polite. The room was beautiful and well worth every penny. The bed was heavenly and pillows were even better! Only complaint was lack of communication with housekeeping. We had a late check out(1pm) and housekeeping knocked on the door 3 times before we left. Other than that exceptional hotel and service, definitely will revisit again!

Home of a beautiful rooftop bar called "The Roof". Went on a Tuesday night. The roof was wasn't open air but the atmosphere was comfortable, seating was available, there was live music and the food was good. The server was a bit hands off which I like but not everyone in my party did. Decent prices compared to similar hotel bars in the area. I'd go again.

The setting is wonderful, the food and drinks unspectacular, but what really ruined or experience was a bad server that seemed to forget that we were there; nevermind the length of time between visits, but she didn't get around to telling us that they were out of something we ordered until food was coming out. I hope she's not representative.

The bartender saved the last star for handing out sugar to a diabetic friend during a crash without hesitation. That was really appreciated.

Upon checking in to the hotel, the staff were extremely friendly and hospitable! They even spoiled my husband and I with two AMAZING desserts and complimentary champagne for our anniversary. The rooms were clean and the service always provided us with fresh toiletries and towels every day. The only negative comment I would make is the strange "Male Centric" theme throughout the hotel. For example our bathroom had a framed picture of an old Esquire magazine with an image of a half naked woman sitting on a chair with the subtitle "A magazine for men" on the cover. Then there was our room key which had a picture of a businessman dressed in a nice tailored suit, which isn't offensive but strange given the fact that men are not the only customers you serve. Lastly, the image of the man sleeping in the bed with a dozen or so images of the same woman wearing a seductive smile and dress, surrounding his bed under the tab STAY on their website was a bit odd? If you are trying to market to men I get it, however in this day and age it can appear to be a bit sexist and I was personally offended by this. Other than these issues however, we had a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed at theWit during a weekend trip for a show. Our suite was fantastic - very spacious, welcoming, and accompanied by a great view. The only dock of a star was for the bed. My wife and I didn't get the best sleep on the mattress and pillows. Granted, this could've been a fluke. I've had great sleep in very low budget hotels, and vice versa. We'd definitely recommend theWit, and certainly would stay again.

Cool hotel with a roof bar, the bar catered to a higher end crowd. Mostly trying to sell table/bottle service. I was with a group that got in while visiting here in town. Met the DJ was real cool guy and had some good drinks mingling in the crowd. Was busy and drunk people were falling all over the place while enjoying the bottle service. Lots of broken/dropped glasses and bottles but the staff was quick to come and clean up.

First trip to Chicago. Location was excellent. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Lots of great shopping in the area. Staff were excellent, very welcoming. We called the front desk twice during our stay for dishes and an extra blanket and both were brought to our room promptly. Three of us stayed in a suite and it was very comfortable and roomy. Would definitely stay at theWit next time we are in Chicago.

. Ended up getting our room with points and cash. Had a different credit card on file to use towards our bill. Upon arrival, we were told we could not use that credit card. I was on a budget during this trip and didn't account for an extra $200. We have stayed at the Waldorf plenty of times prior and we have never had an issue with the card on file. The front desk clerk was extremely nice and upgraded our room. When we came back at night to go up to our room, the elevators took over 5 minutes to come back to the 1st floor except for the one that went to the rooftop bar. Pretty ridiculous hotel guests had to wait over 5 minutes while the patrons to the bar did not. I want to say that one elevator had at least 6 trips going up to the rooftop.

I picked this hotel because of it's location, close to The Chicago Theater, and planned to enjoy drinks on their roof-top lounge. When we tried to get wrist bands to go upstairs, the staff would not allow us access b/c of my gym shoes. Ok, I get they have a dress code, but this should be noted on their website. But what was most annoying is that after I was denied access due to my shoes, I watched the same staff allow two other people upstairs in jeans and gym shoes. Had I not seen the staff allow people wearing gym shoes up to the roof top, I would have given the hotel 4 stars.

This is a good downtown hotel. Usually pricier than other hotels, but I've still like it. Good rooms. Good bathrooms. Decent staff. I like State and Lake, the attached restaurant. Overall, a solid place to stay downtown.

The location was great and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. We stayed in a King Spa Suit. The room was nice and big and very big bathroom. Only issue I had was the carpet had stains on it and the furniture was dusty and old. Not very modern with a 4 star Hotel at $300 a night. The room service food was great, a bit pricey with a tip. I definitely would stay here again dough.

Paramount Suite was clutch! 3 walls of windows! Come on, who the hell doesn't like 3 walls of windows from the 23rd floor?! We can see the river from two opposing walls. Highly recommend, we will be back for that experience again!

The State & Lake bar is one of my favorites in the city. It's not flashy. It's not pretentious. It's just a nicely appointed bar with a decent selection of beer, wine and booze. The appetizers are also very good. Get the trout. It's worth it even though it's rarely a Happy Hour Item. Servers are above average for attentiveness and your water glass is never empty. Folks who have to be seen go to the rooftop bar at the Wit. Those that want good food, good booze and the ability to heat their friends speak go to State & Lake.

Paid wifi only for in-room if you book through a 3rd party. That's going to be a 1-star from me easy. This is too nice of a hotel to play games like that.

Also they are playing bird noises over the speakers outside the elevators. Very strange.
