Albeit not the least expensive place to pick up certain items. The Vermont Country Store is a great experience. Lots of samples to be had and items from when you were a youngster are a plenty! I enjoyed the trip down memory lane and picked up some great candy along the way.

Their vanilla fudge is to die for! Had some great chocolate as well. The cookie buttons are addicting as I had far too many samples...if there is such a thing as too many cookies. They have an ice cream shack that has Vermont Maple Cremees and a good pulled pork sandwich.

They are pet friendly so bring you pets along with you. I would certainly go out of my way again to visit this place again.

Great selection of old time toys and trinkets, it was really nice that they have a variety of foods you can sample before buying them. Too high priced though, we went across the street and found a lot of the same items more reasonably priced.

Very rustic and enjoyable visit. Recommend. For the older generation you will go down memory lane. Free sample of "things" to taste. There is a historic story to this place that you need to hear about.

The prices here are definitely "what you would expect" for a bunch of Made In Vermont products.

They are incredibly expensive, but cheaper than buying these products directly from their source, and it's stuff you can't really find anywhere else.

The gourmet mustard we bought from there is easily the best mustard I've ever had. There's an assortment of jellies, dips, and other condiments, along with candy, games, and countless other Vermont products. We always make absolutely sure we stop in for a visit when we're in this area.

The Vermont Country Store is a wonderful shop that is always on our list of stops when we visit Vermont. Lots of shopping and food sampling (cheese, crackers, syrup, fudge, etc.) Located in a beautiful spot, and they also have food, ice cream and plenty of parking. Definitely make your way to the Country Store if you're in the area.

I enjoyed this store: everything you can possibly imagine is here. However I did find it was a bit chaotic (touristy?) and things were over priced. That said, if you are in the area, it's definitely worth stopping in.

A wonderful experience, not just another cute store. Food items, vintage bath and cleaning products, clothes, dishes, and more. All quality items in a unique setting. True to Vermont standards and in a scenic small town with little traffic on the roads. A worthy day trip for all ages. Even the kiddos will like the toys! Can't wait to visit again!

Very cute place, with plenty of eclectic items for sale, and lots of samples to try before you buy. The only drawback was the large number of customers, making it difficult to comfortably navigate about. I'm sure this was due to the Black Friday shopping craze.

Wonderful place to stop for all sorts of souvenirs and area treats. We were able to sample all types of cheeses, dips and spreads. Just please be aware there is absolutely no cell phone service so make sure you know your directions before getting there.

Great spot for finding interesting things, especially gifts. There is a very wide variety of unusual and nostalgic items. Prices are a big step, but typical for the tourist trade. The restaraunt serve delicious food and ice cream, including maple.

Quite the store! Reminds me of Wall Drug in South Dakota except more quaint, less touristy and so many free samples of everything from cheese, meats, lobster bisque, jams, fudge and of course maple syrup. Well, well worth the stop.

Liked the store but the prices were so high. I bought a pair of earrings and paid 25.00. Found them at another store for 15.00. I was pissed. Also ate at the restaurant. Had chicken pot pie. It was just ok. Had fillo dough instead of pie crust. Just wasn't the same. The filling so so. Had better..

Quaint shoppe with ample parking to the rear. Not completely handicapped accessible as the old floors are uneven and there are several short sets of stairs between rooms. Wide selection of old fashioned, hard to find kitchen items. Time honored clothing and Vermont made items. Best of all are the sample tasting stations for jams, cheese, dips, maple syrup, cider vinegar and cheesecake mixes-- try enough and you won't need lunch!

If you want a little trip down memory lane or if your not old enough for that trip this is a must if you're in Vermont. Rock'em sock'em robots, gyroscopes, wax bottles with flavored water, cheese samples, fudge samples, sex toys, wooden back scratchers, more elixers than you can shake a stick at! You have to experience it for yourself.
