Enjoyed visiting this brewery as part of a Charlotte brewery tour. The space is great and their recently opened rooftop area was definitely the hightlight of the night. The beer selection was too bitter and dark for my taste, but I was able to enjoy the atmosphere.

If you like dark beers then this is your place. However if you re not a dark beer fan then go somewhere else. There wasn t a huge choice of beers and it was so loud you couldn t hear to even order. Not a fan

Went yesterday for the anniversary party. I would guess 1000 people showed up. The process to get a wristband, and then buy drink tickets and then stand in line for 30-45 minutes to get a beer was insane and terribly mismanaged. I would guess that process took each patron an hour to complete. I actually never even got a beer (bc I wanted to hear the band instead of waiting 30+ minutes for a beer). The bar inside had 4 bartenders. 4 bartenders to service hundreds of patrons coming to a brewery to - you guessed it - drink beer. As I stared at thousands and thousands of canned beers stacked on pallets in the warehouse, I found myself questioning how big of a whiff this was on the brewery s part. You literally have thousands of cans of beer laying around, endless lines of people cramming into one or two areas to buy a draft beer (which takes the longest to pour and serve) and yet not one beer tub full of delicious canned beer in sight. How does a brewery hit a homerun on getting Marcus King to play and yet not find a way to serve up their own delicious brew to all who attended. Head Scratcher.

Not sure if we came on an off day because the beers were not 5 star like you would think from the google reviews. We checked out the website before we decided to visit the brewery while we were in town from Atlanta. Non of the interesting beers were available on tap and when I ordered a flight of 4 from the menu, 3 were unavailable. The 4 that I did end up getting were not only mediocre but they were also served warm. Not sure if the glasses were just cleaned or what but we were not impressed. The service was OK and the tap room is one of the nicest setups I have seen but can t say we will visit again.

If you want to try some impressive beers, hit up Wooden Robot.

Today was our first time going there. We were out at the dog park so we had our pups with us and we wanted to try the craft ginger ale, so we stopped by. The staff behind the bar was super friendly and welcomed us and our pups! The place was bright and clean and had a really comfortable feel to it. We sat inside and tried the ginger ale (cans as the draught was tapped from the event the night before) and it was really good. We took a 4-pack home with us.

We will definitely go back to try the draught as well as the beers!

Good place with good beer. In any other town this place would be four stars, but in Charlotte there is a lot of competition and it can be tough to stand out... This is a good place to hang out, decent ambiance...

Craft beer at its finest! With an arcade room, cornhole and ping pong there is loads to do. They also have a spacious front patio area and dogs are very welcomed. This place has it all, take home a growler or 2 and maybe a few 6-packs and you'll be wanting to come back for more.

I do love the set up but the front got all the service. We were on the backside of the bar and waited forever for service. We were really excited to try the passport pizza but could not get any service. I have been a patron of unknown since the beginning and am very happy to see them expand just sorry it's at the expense of loyalty. Also very disappointed that they mo longer have a gluten free pizza option. Lenny boy wooden robot all have this so I guess this is the last hurrah for me and unknown brewing. Good luck
in the future but I miss the old standard

Irresponsible business with blatant disregard for public safety and health. Hosted a jam packed dance party last Friday, nobody wore masks, exceeded public capacity guidelines. The bar was packed, indoor and outdoors, people close and dancing with random people. Not a single mask in sight.

Completely surprised and loved every second of being here. I felt covid safe with staff and other clients and thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of beer selection. Plus, check out the hilarious bathroom sign!

Atmosphere is awesome, location is great, but I am really not a huge fan of their beer. There are better quality beers in the South End. I am not saying I won't go back, but I am not rushing to return.

I really enjoy this place as a chill place to hangout and grab a beer. The bartenders are friendly and helpful, you can bring your dog inside to hang out with you, they have arcade games and some board games, free popcorn, large space to spread out, food trucks on the weekends, good brewery tours, and a great location.

However, for the past couple years I always found their beer just alright and inconsistent. I had heard rave reviews about their beer, and didn't understand why. Sometimes the Hones-Tea beer tasted like nothing, and other times it was pure tea. Their Ginger beer, along with every other beer was the same way. Never the same flavor from week-to-week.

I finally tried their beer in cans, and I can say it was pretty good. I just wish they had this same flavor on tap all the time.

Great staff and great beer selection. The staff are super awesome. They were very friendly and quite knowledgeable on the beers. The venue is not very crowded which is nice. Also it is very close to the stadium which is a plus!!!

Awesome experience!! The place was getting renovated but you could still see how cool this place is. Great product, great presentation, can envision the finished facility and it looks great. Wow, Highly recommend

On this hot summer afternoon, doggy in tow, appreciated the shaded, breezy outdoor seating. It's been awhile since we've been here, so I appreciated the friendly suggestions of the bartender. We had the Amber alert, wheat, and pilsner. All were tasty and refreshing.

The beer was very tasty, and at $5 a pint, reasonable for a good, local beer. The warehouse was large and clean, and they had live music and a food truck parked inside. I was there for a special event, so I'm not sure if that it typical for a Friday night or not, but it was quite the treat for me and my guests.

Craft beer and adventure. Their motto is "live without boundaries" and their beer represents that. On any given visit we found adventurous flavors to try. But the Over the Edge IPA has become my favorite to drink followed by the session IPA Pre-game. My wife likes the Ginger What.

We love unknown brewery. They brew quality beer but they also are heavily involved in community events. They're always willing to host and/or support events that benefit amazing charities. They have a small, but nice, outside space, with a dual level indoor space. Great pizza food truck too.

The Unknown is my favorite brewery in the Charlott...

The Unknown is my favorite brewery in the Charlotte area. That doesn't necessarily mean they make the best beer in town, but as far as a brewery goes, they knock it out of the park. The atmosphere is as eclectic as the beer list. The arcade room patio space and tap area are all inviting. The actual brewery space is visible through a wall of windows in the tap room, which make it feel like you're actually at a brewery rather than at a bar. The tap list is always fantastic. The left hand screen shows the mainstays which are all solid beers. On that list there is something for everyone. The right hand screen shows their seasonal and one-offs. This is where the fun really starts. The put their motto ("Live with out boundaries") where their mug is with the beers that they make, incorporating ingredients and styles that you won't find anywhere else. If you enjoy trying different beers you won't be able to avoid getting a flight here to sample all that they have. It'll be worth it.

A great stop along the Charlotte Brews Cruise Tour! The story of the owner is hilariously inspiring and with beers named Pre-Game, Hospitali-tea, Bright Ass Tanktop and Over the Edge and Stupid there's something for everyone. Enjoy the time spent with your friends or just make new ones.
