In summer it is worth visiting at the last minute. When the sun goes down from the stands, the shade allows you to sit quietly to observe the stage or enjoy the panoramic views until closing time.

Pay the extra for the virtual tour presentation and do it before you walk around, it's worth it. The theater is amazing and the walking audio guides on lanyards are very good. There are a couple of car parks nearby but be prepared for some frustration at the machines, even the locals were struggling with them.

Impressive... The theatre is huge and worth the visit. They offer you a free guided tour in english, which is interesting to understand its history and some curiosities. The guide has a great level of english! Although it's an external area, the use of mask is mandatory (which we appreciated).

Very nice place to visit. The dimensions of the theater are impressive. It's quite funny to see that our modern theaters or stadiums are built on the same architectural principles. I recommend a visit at night or at dusk to enjoy the place with different sets of lights.

It is simply surreal to be in this place, built in 105 BC by Emperor Augustus, founder of the Roman Empire. The Old Theater is the most preserved Roman Theater in the world and the events in it are always very organized and safe and have a low cost schedule because the vast majority of events in this place are free in addition to the nearby parking lots too! It's fascinating to be able to be in this place

Beautiful, worth being on works on the facade! I liked to see the rehearsal of an event on display at the Theater, although the grand structure interferes a little in the original aesthetics of the Old Theater, I believe that being in activity today is important for more people to discover the importance of ancient history and culture.

Colossal.

Colossal.
It is a pity that the internal stage wall could not be seen because it was entirely covered by scaffolding to carry out a restoration

Beautiful places to visit with the audio guide. The reception is good for visits and for shows. See an opera in the ancient theater of Orange is something to do at least once in a lifetime, I keep a wonderful memory!

Ahhh

Ahhh
The theater ! This place that I absolutely wanted to see ...
It was very disappointing.
Even if the virtual "simulation" is very enviable it is expensive, to see during 5min the construction of the theater!
We learn nothing, and we all expect something incredible ...
The renovations completely ruin the landscape!
There is nothing to see !
70 to spoil!
I do not recommend this place
1/5

There are no words to describe the greatness of an empire as was the Roman, and of course what he left in this place. Undoubtedly, it is worth visiting this Roman theater and letting you transport yourself to the ancient times, where so much culture wandered through its walls.
