It is a historical monument very well preserved with a museum inside very informative and fun for children; he often organizes concerts and choregies in a unique atmosphere!

It is the Roman theater that best preserves its wall

We could only see the outer rear part (a very high and imposing wall) because in the theater they were setting up a show and they didn't let us in, not even for a brief look. Sin. The site itself, it would be five stars and perhaps even more so being so well preserved, the fact that it cannot be visited, moreover without warning, takes away four.

This was an unexpected and frankly one of the most pleasantly shocking finds during our trip around Provence. It is just huge, historically rich and one of the roman gems Provence has to offer. Must visit.

Rates very accessible for a visit of this quality. Almost 2h30 of visit for a little more than 11.50 .

Nice was the free audio guide, for which you only had to deposit a document of identification. A unique experience, when it is the only surviving theater wall in the world. Extremely impressed was Virtual Reality Show, which represents the construction of the theater. It was nice that all staff also spoke English and gave children the opportunity to wear faithful replicas. Also in the souvenir shop, there was a lot of great to buy.

Wonderful piece of history. A beautifully preserved part of the Roman era that reflects well (with audio tour in Dutch) how things were going at the time. Unfortunately, the place is a disaster for wheelchairs or prams. That could have been much better. Missed opportunity.

Very nice place to walk, nevertheless a little too expensive!

I went to the antique theater of orange to see the festive music show of 2018. It was a very good show but to go back it was a bit complicated.

Superb place full of history and good organized tour

Very interesting. Escape game and virtual tour well appreciated by our children aged 6, 10 and 16. Allow 3 hours minimum on site.

The best to see an open-air opera, provided you are in the first bleachers. Be careful with strong heat the stones release heat accumulated the day. Acoustics are exceptional

Well preserved Roman theatre with a rare intact theater wall. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. We spent a couple of hours with the kids following the audio guide. There isn't much else in the area so I wouldn't be traveling hours to get there unless you really love Roman stuff.

A nice place that attracts a lot of tourists, but this building is nothing new, because the Roman architecture remains quite the same from place to place.

The steel infrastructure installed for concerts limits the view. Otherwise the visit is interesting. The tickets included also Nimes arena, Maison Carre and the tower in Jardin de la Fontaine.

Superb theater semicircle, one of the most beautiful in the world in such a state of conservation. Well known for his outdoor choregies in summer.
Very nice view overlooking the theater of the Saint Eutrope hill.

Impressive to see that they were able to build his structure 2,000 years ago. The free audio guide is, among other things, available in Dutch and is very informative and also provides a lot of background information. All in all a must see. Unfortunately during our visit part of the wall was in the scaffolding, but that did not cause a major obstacle.

A magical place to watch a show!
The acoustics are good and we are not bothered by its neighbors in front.
To think of providing a cousin for more comfort, without back and on a stone bench the time can be long

Beautiful place where more than 2000 years of history look at us ... we can close our eyes and imagine the Roman life at that time! So chuttttt, close your eyes and imagine ...

Spectacular day, with street artists framing the city

Really amazing. But it may be better not to leave the audioguide to young children. My 6 year old son was very impressed to learn that a man was burned alive on the stage!

Awesome! The place is worth a visit in the city of Orange!
